Very unappealing view of the property before entering! However, this all changed when we went inside. Attractive decor. Reception staff were exceptional. Very helpful, friendly, informative, knowledgeable and professional. Room was a good size and very clean and comfortable. Bathroom very clean with all expected amenities. Breakfast was exceptionally good with a large choice, some that were new to me. The availability of freshly cooked items such as eggs Benedict was very welcome. All stall here were also extremely helpful and friendly. It was only a very short walk to the centre of Chester. We will definitely be staying again!

Location is great 5 minute walk from the centre. Pool and sauna facility were both excellent. Really good breakfast too, if a little expensive.

Shouldn’t be listed as having parking as they only have around 30 spaces for the whole hotel (which you have to pay separately for anyway which isn’t mentioned on purchase). Everyone was just queuing up the ramp and caused a bit of a free for all with cars dumped everywhere and having to reverse back out to avoid everyone. Avoid the stress and park in the market or the pay and display as they’re actually cheaper than the hotel anyway.

The hotel was as expected and locale area was excellent. Unfortunately. Please don't ask if clients staying have any other requirements then ignore them. Breakfast and evening meal was ruined due to the fact I asked for Lactose Free Milk. Which is quite easily obtained. Not oat milk or soya milk which I cannot tolerate. You let yourselves down badly I presume you thought I would accept what you had on offer and be happy. Well I was not and if I was happy to accept oat/soya I would not have made a request for Lactose Free Milk. Due to the fact I presumed when milk was delivered to my room it was per request. The last night of my stay was in my room as I was to ill to accompany him out for our last evening

Don't send email asking if any other requirements if they are going to be ignored. As stated above my last night in your hotel in Chester was ruined as I had to stay in bed to recover for our travel home

Staff very pleasant. The reception and bar areas were really nice. Close to city centre, short walk away only. Great for car parking so close to city centre.

Disappointed that, for the price..not cheap at £183 for one night, , the bathroom toiletries were refill bottles which being attached to the wall/shower area made it difficult to use when having a bath. Ended up having to pump out shower body wash from dispenser into a glass to use in the bath as no small soap bars were made available. Disappointing. Room with a city view...turned out to be overlooking the rear car park area. Room service menu ...overpriced.

Lovely and clean throughout, very welcoming Everything overall was excellent, food and room lovely, couple of minor snags but nothing really significant. Staff were lovely, it was great to get a room service pudding for my daughter.! In the restaurant they were extremely attentive relating to my daughters food allergies which was much appreciated

Trouser press broken Heating switch did not work but we were warm enough so not a major issue Shower screen needs replacing, floor got very wet One slight concern was the toiletries containing kiwi which my daughter is allergic to, but we did have our own with us, maybe offer an unscented option?

Hotel chosen for location, on-site parking, and spa facilities. Didn't disappoint in any aspect - once we'd found a parking space. Parking before check-in very helpful. Had to wait some time for room to be ready but welcome coffee and fantastic staff. Good room with views towards Wales. Spa spot on. Hotel knew it was an anniversary for us so a 'welcome card' in the room a lovely touch.

Took a while to sort up how to 'get around' the Hotel. Car park on one level, Reception on another, main entrance on another etc. Worth it in the end (especially as I remember what the site was before the Hotel was built!!)

The staff were lovely, couldn’t do enough for you. Always pleasant and wished you a good day Room was spotless and even cleaned while we where there for only 2 nights Although the hotel was very very busy we didn’t hear any noise when in the room apart from a few doors banging Breakfast was beautiful something for everyone The swimming pool was quiet and chilled parking was so easy visiting with a disabled child we had a disability car park space reserved for our stay

We had issues with the WiFi on the 1st night we where not told about the access code that was needed and no body answered the phone when we called reception to enquire Members of the fitness suite left their belongings in the only changing cubicle in the changing room whilst they used the pool which made it difficult changing with a child I think there should be signage in place to tell people not to do this

The staff were lovely and the bed was comfortable. There was a fridge and safe in the room. The location was fantastic, actually inside the city walls. Room service prices were the same as on the main menu, just had to pay £5 on top for the service.

There was no expel-air in the bathroom. Housekeeping didn't restock the complimentary's tray, i:e: tea, coffee, milk. The pillow cases were too big for the pillows and had to be tucked in. The quilt cover itself had a few tiny holes in it, which made it look worn. Car parking was expensive, even with a blue badge.

Location is excellent for city center. Car park is small so could not get on but car park literally next door is fine.

Booking.com offered me an upgrade on room which I accepted but then Hotel rang to say they could not give me that as I wanted twin beds! On their site on here it says beds can be split but Hotel rang to say they could not guarantee on check in . Made no sense as surely a booking is a booking and must be accommodated. So DO NOT upgrade your room on here as its is pointless and cannot easily be changed !
