My third time staying here and all in the Epsom apartment. Have too say the room is very tired and hugely in need of work in repair and decorating. Water mark on the bedroom ceiling around the light obviously due to a previous leak. Living room ceiling in a poor state of repair again obviously after a previous leak, decking on the balcony needs replacing as it's very old and poor condition. When you are selling these as your premium rooms ( Penthouses) they need too look better. Staff very polite I do apologise to the member of staff who I was behind in a queue for coffee this morning before he finished his night shift on reception. Who appeared to take exception to myself and two guests in front of him getting coffee before him on his way home, your words oh forget I'll not bother getting a coffee before you stomped out the door, rather tainted the politeness of all the other staff members we accounted on our stay.

location was lovely and quiet. Views and kitchen facilities were very good . Bed was very comfortable and staff on reception at all times were lovely helpful and always tried to help. Couldn't fault the staff as they were great. complimentary coffee 24/7 and breakfast croissant very nice.

Apartment was a little tired in paint/decor and outdoor balcony furniture was not great. Rattan Sofa and chair only and cushions on them were poor I felt penthouse suite. Balconies not very private ,open view to apartments next door each side which was a little disappointing .

Booked a penthouse apartment for our 2nd anniversary. Really appreciated the following- quick and easy booking in at reception, lift to upper floors, clean apartment with good facilities, polite and helpful staff, excellent location for Chester town centre, fabulous views from balcony, comfortable bed, great rainfall shower. The space in the apartment was much more than expected and sliding doors out to balcony from both bedroom and living room was a bonus. Watched an awesome sunset in the evening from the balcony. Would definitely book here again and may look at booking at other locations Rooomzz offers.

Bathroom door didn't actually close... it kept swinging open... had to put bathroom bin in front if it to keep it vaguely shut. Although there was a dishwasher we mainly used mugs and teaspoons and had to keep washing them up but there wasn't a draining board to put them on. These were minor things and didn't spoil our enjoyment of our stay.

Great value for money, comfortable and quiet room with no external noise, bed was particularly comfortable. The lady on reception on our departure was lovely and chatty and helped us with extended stay parking which was very much appreciated.

The bathroom could do with a refurb, re grout tiles etc as there was a slight damp smell in the room. Also, due to Chester having limited mobile phone coverage, using the app to pay for the parking before checking into the hotel was impossible and I would have preferred to sort the parking with the reception staff which we had to do in the end.

Chester was a revelation to us as a great town to visit and this hotel was as excellent as the town. The woman at the front desk could not have been more helpful or friendly in helping us find our way around. She is clearly very proud of her city and wants others to experience it as well. Although there is no breakfast here, there is a coffee machine in the reception area, with pastries available in the morning……a fantastic touch. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Can thoroughly recommend.

This seems to be a converted office block but it has been well done and rooms are large and well appointed with a decent kitchen area, large bed and seating area. The chap on reception was very helpful and the free coffee and croissant in the morning was most welcome. Location is perfect, just 100m away from the centre of Chester and it was great value. Will definitely use again.

Overnight parking was £10 which was news to me when I arrived but that said, having a car park is a bonus anyway. Our room was next to the road and there was some road noise during the night.

Excellent location, a couple of minutes walk from the shops and the wall. Liked the free coffee and croissants for breakfast ( pick up from reception) and that the coffee machine could be used all day for free warm drinks. Beds were comfortable and the room was ideal, everything you needed. Would definitely stay again.

The bathroom could do with some tlc. There was a nasty smell in the bathroom, which would come and go. ( My husband who is a plumber said it was the drains.)

I was really pleased with my stay. The staff were brilliant and extremely helpful. The Kitchenette was fairly well equipped although all of the knives were too blunt. The morning croissants is a nice touch too.

Kitchenette needs a few extra things to work better. Knives were blunt, no draining for dishes so counter top gets soaked. Could do with providing a box of tissues also. The TV was impossible to use too as it just kept re-setting every time you left the room. Staff tried to help but couldn't work it out either!

Lovely penthouse suite very clean and comfortable loved our stay there and would definitely recommend this place overlooking Chester racecourse

There was a few issues with lack of equipment firstly 5 coat hangers for two people for a 2 night stay is not enough secondly in the information booklet it says at breakfast time guests will be provided with free continental breakfast of croissants fruit juice etc yet all there was was croissants this was disappointing there was a iron but no ironing board had up iron clothes on a table with a bath sheet for padding .. and finally and just a small point bought some provisions from the supermarket including a freshly baked loaf of bread yet no bread knife to cut it so although these are small points really they did add up and overall I expect a higher level for an executive penthouse suite when I am paying a top tariff

Room was excellent, very modern, well equipped, large and airy and very clean. Staff were super helpful and friendly on reception. Breakfast croissants and tea and coffee facilities in reception a nice extra. Location is superb for racecourse and town.

Think the complimentary breakfast items have been scaled back, e.g. you have to now pay for jam to go with croissants. When the price tag is so high (it was race weekend but still high), small extras like this would not cost much and be appreciated by guests.
