The newly renovated rooms are very nice and luxurious, and particularly stand out for their spaciousness compared to the dismal shoebox rooms at many other hotels in sg. The shower was good and water pressure was excellent :) The view out the window of Tanjong Pagar plaza wasn’t amazing, but could be worse I guess. Jigger and Pony is right downstairs in the hotel lobby, though you may want to make a prior reservation for weekends and evenings given its popularity. We got a great last-minute deal for a King room for ~ $200 SGD, which really is a steal for the Amara! At its usual prices, there would be better options for a staycation in my opinion.

The hotel check in area is basically three standing booths shoved into a corner of the lift lobby, which is a little disappointing for a five star hotel. Check in was slow. There is only 1 complimentary parking entry per day. Not sure if the gym and hotel pool have also been renovated (didn’t look it), but the gym equipment at least was in pretty poor condition and all the treadmills were not working :/

Club room/facilities were great for our visit: the opportunity to have a light bite and a drink immediately on our mid evening arrival; a quiet, calm breakfast with a wide variety of options; and snacks throughout the day. Lovely pool with decent shade. Excellent position a few minutes from the MRT. We were very pleasantly surprised by the option to have 2 clothing items laundered each day free of charge: the Singapore climate means you go through clothes quickly, so being able to re-wear shirts, blouses, trousers or skirts was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was good to note an employment policy which clearly paid attention to diversity.

The pillows were very firm and unyielding, great for sitting up in bed but not so good for sleeping on for us. We asked for softer pillows and were provided with smaller memory foam ones, still somewhat brick-like. These may have suited many guests, but we struggled a bit. There was limited storage space in the room: a hanging rail and shelf for cases but little else. We asked for and received extra hangers, which helped, but our 5 night stay meant we wanted to unpack, so many of the room surfaces were rapidly covered by clothes etc.

The newly renovated rooms were very nice. They were very spacious and comfortable for our needs. Two things partially stood out; the breakfast and the staff. Obviously the staff being the best experience. They went above and beyond our needs. We were traveling for our sons 3rd birthday. They sent a birthday cake to our room!

I really wish they had a hot pool. I know i know its Singapore, but regardless i want to soak in a hot pool after a long day of urban hiking.

Very good breakfast, nice room furniture, excelent location

Dusty room, daily cleaning service was quite poor, no vacuuming, basically they just changed thw towels, made the beds and pick up the garbage. Bed pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable.

High floor view, friendly atmosphere

During check in, it would be wonderful if the receptionist have automatically mention the outcome of my requests. I have to mention my high floor request else it may have to be changed if i was given a low floor. Then i have to ask for my late checkout request. Lastly, my 3rd request for extra 2 bath towels was not fulfilled when i entered the room. I have to call housekeeping to get them.

Very good location. Beside the mall and opposite building with food. Raymond is very friendly to serve us at lobby.

Good location but price increases a lot. Check in counter is too slow. Waited 15-20 minutes to check in and get key. Should train your staff to be fast, efficient and professional to settle check in within 4-5 minutes or less. It’s a 5 stars hotel but service speed is 1 star :/ We travel and we are tired. And we still have to wait over 15-20 minutes to get the key. Too slow and inefficient Toilet bathroom is easily clogged with water when shower over 1 minute. Water leaked out to the floor. :/

The 2-bedroom unit is very spacious & comfortable. Love the long workspace in both rooms. Master bedroom is big - kids managed to pitch a 2 person tent during our stay. Both bathrooms have ample open shelves & counter top space. Shower stalls are huge; but water pressure is low & shower heads not adjustable. Beds are of good size & mattress nice & firm. Lighting throughout the unit is bright. There are switches for you to select areas u wish to light up. I like that. Bedside tables & wardrobe space is generous. Living room: the L-shaped sofa is firm & comfortable. Good place for all of us to chill. The coffee table has a desk height. We brought out the long bench from the bedroom & had game sessions. Kids also did craft & colouring here. A spacious console by the wall provided a good place to put our odds & ends. Dining area - we can sit down comfortably to enjoy our tabao food from the neighbouring eateries, hawker centres & supermarket. Kitchen: There is a big fridge & lots of necessary kitchen stuff. And best of all, a washing machine! Quick wash choice of 15 or 40min. But the dryer function is hopeless. Got 3 TVs in this unit. Staff throughout the hotel have very cheerful work attitude - probably reflecting a good work environment. Shoutout to Sean Poon & Elin Chung at the breakfast venue, Idil & the gentleman at the entrance for being so helpful, and Carol who took care of our rooms. Housekeeping was very prompt & efficient responding to our requests. Thank you, Amara, for a memorable stay. Hope to be back.

Pool cleanliness.

The Amara hotel is in a beautiful and central location within the city. Tanjong Pagar is a beauitful street and the Amara is close to two MRT stations (one 4 mins away and one 10 mins away) making it easy to explore the city in different directions. The Amara staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms were gorgeous and clean - you can clearly tell they've just been renovated. Loved the pool and the gym (while small) had the essentials for our 4 nights in Singapore. The hotel is peaceful and the rooms are very comfortable.

The breakfast was good and had many options but perhaps a little bit more variety every now and again. But still really good.

Everything was perfect, food, staff, cleanliness. Is across fom MRT that runs to airport.

Newly renovated modern spacious room.

The property was good. We did have an issue on checkout. We booked through Bookings.Com . At the time we did have an issue re booking ,re the price advertised changed after confirming booking. We were told by Bookings help line that Bookings had no control over other charges the hotels charge. On looking at the fine print prior to booking we noted that all tax’s and others were included. A deposit of s$100 would be charged but fully refunded if no damage to room. The hotel on checkout had no knowledge of this charge and said it’s not our policy and we would have to refer it to the people who we booked through . Although we sorted it out with Bookings it was an unnecessary concern.
