It was located within 10 mins walk to MRT station & there is a bus stop, just 50m away. It had a window, fridge & kettle unlike many hotels in this price range. There's even a separate faucet for drinking water!The receptionists were very helpful & went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant, in particular one; Yen Lin☺️The room & bathroom are clean & comfortable. H8ghly recommended for its affordability & friendly service.

There weren't reading lights near the beds.Hardly any wardrobe space: a few hangers & 2 drawers!. The small room size to accommodate both guests & their luggage!. The thin walls where noise along the corridor can be heard, but there is a notice in the lift to keep the noise level down at fixed times

Had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the basic necessities for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping was consistent, and everything from the bathroom to the bed linen was neat and tidy. The location is excellent—conveniently situated in the Geylang area, just a short walk from Aljunied MRT station. It was easy to get around the city from here, and there were plenty of food options nearby, especially if you enjoy local cuisine. While the room was a bit compact, it served its purpose well for a short stay. Overall, a great budget-friendly choice for travelers looking for a clean room in a central location. As a kind gesture, the hotel allowed us to check out late without any additional charges. We appreciate their prompt response and flexibility, and would recommend this hotel for its service and comfort.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. The hotel is worth the price. It is 15 minutes by car to the city center. The MRT is 1.5 km away. It costs 15 SD to go to Chinatown by taxi from the hotel. There are small brothels across from the hotel. But this does not mean that you will be disturbed. Everyone is in their own way and you will not be disturbed by this situation. The cleanliness of the hotel is also good. When we checked if any of our belongings fell under the bed, we saw a lot of dust under the bed. Apart from that, it is a hotel that you can stay in if you are not obsessed with being meticulous. Our baby stayed with us and it was suitable for his comfort and safety. Thank you yuga and team !

Location is safe even though it's right across the street from the "red light district", and only 1/2 block off the nicer parts of town. The rooms were very comfortable and had water purifying systems in the rooms - yea. The manager was quick to draw me a map and description to find public transpiration 1/2 block from hotel that took me right where I wanted. Near public transportation. Remodeled hotel that is clean and nice and great value for the money.

warned me of the red light district - but know that Singapore is a very safe town - lots of people and highly monitored. I'm a single female and I felt fine walking around town and on public transport. Lots of uneven sidewalks in Singapore. I want to come back to Singapore.

I recently stayed at Hotel 81 Premier Star t was a pleasant experience. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the station MRT and surrounded by many restaurants and shops. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also spotless, with good water pressure. The staff name Seven Lim were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would recommend Hotel 81 Premier Star to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. Would definitely return!

Your staff is your asset. Mr Hakim was very approachable anytime directly or from communication through online. He will go and extra mile by ensuring that all your Booking and requesting is in Order before your Check-in . He was respected by all his colleagues on his soft spoken approached and demonstrated positive attitude towards the customers at all time . His communication with the customers was very effective eg . Concise , active listening and except the feedback positively . I hope the Employer will keep him for a long time . Ms Yu Xuan ( Housekeeping ) was very helpful, Polite and demonstrated Positive attitude towards all customers. She was always smiling when approached by customers for room assistance . She managed to restart my TV connection till it work normal after I complaint to her . She show good exemplary for others to follow. Her good attitude towards the Company should be recognise by the employer.

Hotel met my expectation. It is accessible and the staff is good. lift is working and the room is clean. i appreciate the filtering mechanism for drinking water in the room and the multiple hooks to hang clothes.

I think the only thing in there is that there is no bidet in the toilet although I think most budget hotels don't one in Singapore. Also, if you are keen on working in your laptop, you will have to transfer the kettle set because the table is just enough for it.

Excellent staff who went out of their way to assist with a large group. Hats off to Manager Patrick Tay who was of great assistance. All the staff behind the desk we encountered were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. It's not a 5 start hotel but the rooms were neat and tidy and very clean. It's a part of town that is always alive. Great local food available most hours of the day.

A few more chairs in the main lobby area would have been nice.

Lovely clean and comfy rooms with basic facilities, Good location if you plan to use the MRT as it’s only a 15 min walk to the Mountbatten station. We noted the comments about the area being sketchy before we booked this hotel and were wary but we had no problem with it- just keep your wits about you at night time.

Nothing at all- great place to stay for a more affordable option in Singapore
