We had a great stay as a group of four friends - just a 15-minute walk to the entrance of Untold Festival! We were lucky to find a parking spot right in front of the entrance, which was super convenient. Breakfast was nice, and the beds were really comfortable. We also appreciated having a kettle and complimentary tea and coffee on the first day.

Towels and sheets weren’t changed during our 5-night stay. Since the reception isn’t always open, we didn’t get a chance to ask for fresh towels, but you can probably call them to request it. Also, the online check-in site was a bit tricky. We didn’t receive the room number or any instructions there, but it was quickly sorted out once we called the hotel.

The old style of architecture, like Spanish open courtyard house. The room was spacious it was great for four people. The breakfast was adorable. Nice buffet spread perfect for the size of the hotel. The coffee was great, with options of making the type of coffee depending on preference, espresso, cappuccino, long coffees, etc. The Hotel is a part of a cicivi initiative or a project of helping homeless, orphan children and the most vulnerable in Cluj. The manager, so to speak, or one of the people who oversees the project was helpful in a short chat we had and was approachable and friendly with all of the guests during breakfast. Side note, you can park your car in the courtyard not there is space.

The bathtub seemed to be leaking and it created a bit of mess.

An attractive hotel, clean and well furnished. Helpful staff when I needed to leave a bag for the day. Location is only 5 mins from the old town, with plenty of bakeries, cafes and convenience stores just round the corner.

There is a lack of "people" to speak to. Check-in was remote (key in a key safe) and reception was unmanned for much of of my stay - so no-one explained where the restaurant was or breakfast times etc. I never had breakfast as I was starting my day early before the restaurant opened (or perhaps it was open but I just never found the restaurant).

The apartment was neat and clean, easy reachable with bus from the airport and situated in a quiet street. The innercourt was beautiful and also neat. All the amenities we needed for one night and the airconditioning was very helpful since it was hot outside. Easy to find the keys and the host was super quick to communicate with

Very small issues: We had an issue with the airconditioning that was leaking, unfortunately a bit annoying in th night. We informed the host and they will take care of it, but for one night there was not so many chance to fix it. The bathroom was clean but a little bit mouldy, I guess it's an overall problem in Romania, nothing big tho.

This is a good interior-parking-lot motel, in terms of basic facilities, attractive courtyard, and a good breakfast. Also, it's conveniently located between the old-town and the train/bus stations, if just there for a night And we loved Cimbru, a restaurant nearby.

Consider choosing a different hotel, if you arrive at Cluj on a hot summer night and you have kids. You will probably get one of the top-floor rooms, where the main bed is located in an upper loft, whose ceiling seems to have no insulation to separate it from a very hot roof. There is no direct AC at that level. The room's air conditioner (loud, because it is an in-room device with the compressor located next to a bed rather than being external and sound-insulated) mainly just cools the air at the lower level, because the hotter room air rises, leaving the cool air lower. The AC device is okay, but it can't offset the day's accumulated roof heat. Under other conditions, the room would be just fine.

The hotel and the rooms were better than in the pictures. The rooms were very tidy. The location was very good, with a walking distance from the city center but very quiet. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff helpful.

The room with a lower and upper level was hot in the nights, particularly at the upper level. It was not possible to sleep with the air conditioning as it made loud noise. The mini-fridges did not work in both rooms that we had.

It was a lovely hotel. The building and the room was so beautiful. they even put candy, tea and coffee with cattle. After a long journey it was so nice to entering that kind of room. I was worried of getting cold but the heater worked very well. It was very clean, there were enough towels and shower gel, shampoo etc.

The only bad side would be, you hear everything from outside or from the other rooms. Especially when you're sleeping it's a bit uncomfortable. But this wouldn't prevent me to book this hotel. And a very small suggestion, there was a trashcan only in the bathroom, it would be very useful to have one in living room or in the bedroom as well.

The room and location

The reception was empty most of the time. We had to call. I needed a taxi, the operator did not understand very well my request. For checking out no one was around... nor for my receipt.

The location was convenient and we found parking outside the hotel. The layout of the hotel is original with the rooms arranged on several floors around a courtyard. Our room was on two levels which we liked. The breakfast was good, both savoury and sweet. The staff was friendly and very helpful and the lady at the reception accompanied us to our room as we had lost the self check-in instructions. You reach the city center after a 10 minute walk.

As the rooms are arranged around a courtyard, it can get noisy if guests have loud conversation in the yard or on the balconies. Perhaps a sign such as "no conversation or noise outside after 10 p.m." might help.

Overall, a good place. Delicious breakfast. Luxurious room. Peaceful ambiance. Reasonably clean. Proximity to the city center. Ample parking space.

These are rather some quirks than real complaint. This is a solid, good hotel that you can go to without worries. Retrieving keys can be challenging due to inconsistent reception hours and a bit strange communication. I never got so many messages from a hotel I booked! The room, while generally excellent, had peculiar design oversights: a study desk without nearby power outlets and a shower holder placed away from the water source. The bed is notably noisy, even under regular use. Room service requires explicit request.
