First of all, the hotel is a great place to stay—probably the most comfortable option in the area. What truly sets it apart is the staff: exceptionally attentive, flexible, and professional. The quality and variety of the buffet also deserve special mention—it genuinely surprised me. If you enjoy good food, this is definitely the place for you. Another big advantage, especially during the busy tourist season, is the availability of on-site parking, which makes your stay even more convenient. And when the sea is not ideal for swimming (which, to be honest, is quite often), the hotel’s pool is a real asset—clean, spacious, and perfect for relaxing or cooling off without leaving the property.

The hotel presents itself as a five-star establishment—an image it may well have lived up to 10–15 years ago. While the facilities now show visible signs of wear and aging, the staff make a commendable effort to maintain the property and provide attentive service. However, the lingering five-star ambition appears to influence the pricing strategy, resulting in rates that significantly exceed the property's current value proposition. Unfortunately, the sea was a major disappointment for the second year in a row. The water felt more like a warm soup, with algae blooms and a noticeable film of dirt on the surface. I’m not sure of the cause—perhaps it has always been this way due to the proximity of the Danube River—but it certainly detracted from the beach experience.

Ok ! Where do I start ; location amazing right in the beach great sea view from room 601 nice very clean and comfortable always new sheets and towels right as we came back from breakfast! Really nice cleaning ladies always look it’s and professional with a catchy uniform! Food ! Best I’ve ever had including soups , amazing beef bourguignon, fresh fish amazing breakfast with prosecco and smoked salmon all cooked to perfection ! Congratulations chef ! Hotel staff to mention a few like Marius in reservations , Nicoleta and Georgiana , bar staff , waiters all but I mean all are top at what they do and they do it with a smile never felt so welcomed ! It gets better ; fresh fruit baskets in our room all the time and on our wedding anniversary a cake sent to our room ! Just unbelievable really whoever runs this place is doing a great job ! Beach and pool ? Again great experience everyone helpful and smiling cleanest pool and outside shower area I’ve ever seen all smelling great amd fresh ! So much more to say … we ended up staying longer and we will book again with our extended family! AMAZING ! Thank you Hotel Vega !❤️😘🎂🫡🍻

All the staff is very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast+lunch and both were delicious. Spacious parking. Great pool and private beach with comfortable sunbeds. The pool was daily cleaned by some robots and they were taking water samples all the time. Lifeguard on the beach.

Internet connection on both wifi and cable is poor. The beach area had a step back from our perspective. In the past they had a play area for kids which isn't there anymore. Also in the past the beach was surrounded by some barriers to be private, now it is not, and there are other people crossing willingly the beach and also using the beach shower.

The restaurant is amazing, and although the breakfast could show more diversity, the products are of good quality. The lunch is very good, and the waiters are very helpful. There are experienced staff members making sure everything it's up to the standards. At night you can also enjoy live music. The room, although not very big was comfortable enough to compensate the lack of extra square meters. Also the cleaning service was top notch (kudos to the ladies from the 4th floor). The beach is clean and not very crowded so you can have your family moments without interfering with other guests. The staff at the reception and room service is also very polite and helpful. We had some small issues and they were eager to help us in no time.

We really enjoyed the food, it was tasty and fresh. We served breakfast and lunch and it could easily satisfy a wide range of gourmands. The room was spacious and cool with a comfortable bed and the bathroom daily cleaned. The private beach with quiet music in the background, the sunbeds, the clean water sea made us feel excellent. The staff were great, all the time around us to make our stay as pleasant as possible. So we thank to all (receptionists, chefs, waiters, maids)for our perfect holiday.

The carpet in the room was a bit worn out. Maybe the furniture needs being refurbished.

The Hotel is located right on beach, has its own outdoor pool and beach area. Staff were very helpful, Georgina (both) are the best.. Breakfast is great, plus staff are always making sure your needs are met. Pool is very nice, clean. Staff is excellent 👌 Recommend this hotel . I want to re-book for next year

Maintenance of AC, was only problem. But again staff worked to fix I'm a timely manner.

it was nice to return to this hotel. Very friendly front staff allowed us early check in and late check out. from the room you can see the sea. The hotel staff is kind. The breakfast and lunch is varied and tasty . Room is cozy

the hotel has gained good reputation from the past but could use some upgrading of the facilities, furniture. also one single row of pillows provided not hotel related, but the distance to the sea : recent exaggerated enlargement of the beach and rough sand full of seashells

breakfast rather basic in both diversity and taste, 3 stars. "festive dinner" very poor, no discernable cooking skills or effort whatsoever, 2 stars. entertainment distinctly mediocre, 2 stars. overall, somewhat overpriced and overrated. Arguably due to limited comparable alternatives in Mamaia. Ranking by Western standards, 4 stars maximum.

Quality services, very good breakfast and lunch, clean rooms, free guarded parking, private beach with sunbeds, umbrella and towels included. Friendly staff, always willing to help. Overall, a wonderful stay. We would come back any time.

The WiFi signal in the room was very poor.

I loved everything here, but what I appreciated the most was the restaurant staff, absolutely every single person in the charge of the restaurant was marvelous, the chef cooked at it’s finest and the waiters deserved seven stars, very nice, very clean, very very polite, definitely loved them! I have no doubt Vega Hotel has the best restaurant in Mamaia! I fully recommend it!!!
