I recently stayed at Citadel Aparthotel and overall had a good experience. The apartment was well-equipped, which made the stay very convenient. I especially appreciated having a washing machine and dryer, as well as a comfortable bed and couch. The inclusion of an extension cord was also a thoughtful touch that made charging devices easier. Also it was pretty clean.

However, one downside was the bathroom. At night, and sometimes during the day, the drains gave off a strong sewage smell, which was unpleasant. I heard they will try to fix the drainage issues so if it gets fixed, I think this place would be an even better choice for a stay in Galați, especially for anyone who values good facilities and comfort.

Everything was good except few remarks that don’t influence on the rating.

We came from the country where is allowed to drink tapwater. In Romania you cannot. And we forgot to buy a bottle. So when we came in the night it would be nice to have a at list two liters of drinking water and electric teapot ( to be able to drink tea)

A great place to stay in Galaţi with a Danube view from most rooms. A supermarket, a pizza restaurant and a Biergarten on the Danube banks all just across the road. Bus nr. 15 brings you there from the railway station (NAVROM bus stop).

The Citadel Aparthotel relies on self check-in. That is fine if you know that in advance. You do have to check your mail on the day of arrival after 10:00 am for the details. Galaţi CFR station should have WiFi available.

We spent 2 nights in Citadel Aparthotel, and the place was just amazing, great location, great views from the room, spotless. No doubt the place exceeded our expectations. The man who runs the place, George was so helpful answering our enquiries within a minute and giving us the contact information for the surrounding activities areas.

There is no elevator (3rd floor with a lot of bags is not very easy task, when you are with a kid:) and some smell of sewerage in the kitchen

I had a fantastic experience at this apartment! The space was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal—close to local attractions, restaurants, and public transport.

Everything was perfect.

The owner is very attentive and willing to help. The view from window was very beautiful, wirh Danube river.

The canalisation smell in the bath. I guess it need to be cleaned time by time to avoid it

Quite central location, great view, access to some public transportation, affordable and easy to contact the property staff. The kitchen is fully equipped, maybe a bottle opener/corkscrew wouldn't go amiss! We also asked for extra bed covers and it was provided very quickly! There is also a nice restaurant close by and a supermarket not far off.

The electric kettle was not exactly clean which might be just due to its age. It was also a bit chilly - the rooms are spacious, which is nice, but in a late October weather it would have been nice to be able to turn on some sort of heating. We are happy however that we received the extra bed covers. On an architectural note, we are sad to see the way in which a historical building was changed - the apartments are modern, not in an unpleasant way, but the hallways are not so tastefully redone. This would not affect the quality of your stay, however :)

A very nice apartment. Close to the river with an amazing view from the window. It was clean and had everything necessary for a couple days stay. The host is nice and friendly. Got a free parking space near the building. And a later check-out without additional charge. Totally recommend.
