Perched atop the Danube embankment, the majestic Faleza Hotel by Vega smack in the centre of Galaţi pampers its guests with stylish air-conditioned rooms that provide entrancing city vistas, a buffet breakfast, and secure private parking. My room was cosy and luxuriously furnished, allowing me to admire the Fortified Church of Precista right outside my window. The bathroom was spacious and clean, equipped with complimentary toiletries. The Wi-Fi connection was excellent, and the water pressure was stunning. Oh, and I absolutely loved the ''heavy-duty'' hair dryer! The only downside was that I could not stay longer.

Old but clean hotel. At some points it shows its age. Easy access to Danube riverwalk. Closed windows could keep out the noise from the highway just in front of the hotel. Good breakfast but the restaurant served was small for the size of the hotel. Secure outdoors parking. Nice view to Danube.

The parking is small for the size of the hotel so it cannot accommodate all clients. Additionally, weddings are organised in the premises occupying parking spots. I was with a motorcycle and I managed to squeeze it between the cars.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good value for the offered amenities. Nice view of the Danube river. Decent breakfast (a little more diversified would be great).

The tv in the room was an older model and the tv signal was poor (may not apply to all rooms). The balcony was huge but it felt like a loss of space because it had 2 chairs and a coffee table in one corner and all the rest was empty (some decorations would greatly improve it).

Beautiful river view. Good location next to the river promenade and the pedestrian street. Clean, comfortable beds.

Parking spaces not enough, if you arrive late be prepared to find street parking. Some.of the rooms are with levels, so if you push a luggage cart,.get to the floor by elevator, but then, in the middle of the hallway, there's 2-3 stairs and you have to park the luggage cart and carry your luggage to the room, because of the stairs you can't push any further.

Superb location. Friendly staff! I recommend it definitely! You have a lovelly churc just nearby. The Danube view is great, especially in the morning or at the sunset. There are some wonderful restaurants just nearby, with great sea food, but not only! Great AC system in the room! In this period the temps are about 38-39-40 degrades outside but inside you can set up what temp you like and the system is quiet and very efective!

Prices, if you call directly at the reception, are higher then on booking.com :)) You have to pay extra 15 EUR for a room with balcony, which, in this period of the year is imposible to stay outside, it's too hot!

-hard-to-beat location, right on the Danube shore, walking distance to restaurants, bars, city center etc. -large, clean, well-decorated room with a great view -varied and delicious breakfast, with the possibility to enjoy it on a lovely terrace

-the access is a bit tricky, as the hotel is not on a main street, but navigation apps lead you to the entrance easily. Same for parking, we had to ask how to access it, as it is not visible from the fron.

I liked the view from my room, the breakfast was good and the room very clean

The reception staff at first did not take account of my special request and only after my intervention request and telling them that I was going to move to Vega if they can’t provide a room with direct sea view, as I booked a month before, not with partial SV and at an upper floor as I had requested instead of first floor, as she wanted to accommodate us.

We liked this hotel very much!!! Personal met us very friendly and answer messages before arriving) Our apartment was very clean, big , with amazing view, the restaurant downstairs with delicious food, very very tasty! Near is Danube, view is awesome, shipping beards… It was only one minus on Saturday restaurant had a celebration and music was loud at night time, we say it to reception and they say it will be not long and propose another room, so everything was good decided.

This stay was to facilitate a family christianing. The location was very good with idyllic views of perhaps one of the most iconic European waterways. Three staff were very accommodating and the breakfast is very good.

Nothing really. Our first night dinner which was to be in the hotel wasn't as the kitchen was closed. The alternative was to use the other Velga hotel 500m away. We had a very good dinner at the adjacent restaurant the union Jack

I think the hotel have listend and this time we had cutlery in the room. I really love the breakfast, location and the fact that you have free parking.

Like all the hotels that we have visited this time in Romania because it was April the aircon wasn't functioning. The mini-room between the rooms needs new paint as it has too many dirt spots. One more little annoying thing the square bottles of shampoo and bath gel. Really hard to get the liquid out of them because of the square section of them
