The location was good. Good music in the dining area In general the service was good but need more training- customer service

The order intake of the food was very bad. Food was always late regardless of what time it is ordered Some of the rooms were dirty. Need more training - are in a rush to collect the money but not bothered with the service that they render.

Staff are really friendly & helpful. The menu had different options to pick from, always enjoyed the food I would order. The hotel in a good location especially if your main reason is to stay in the town area, nice & close to Worship centre ccww went for the church conference and it was like a 3 min to the church. They clean ur room when ur out, so it was nice to come bk to my room cleaned up a bit. The hotel itself is really pretty. The pool isn’t that private or away from the restaurant dining area but at the end of the day who cares just go for a swim 😂

The bathroom was a bit small & believe they should put in some bath mats for the wet floor.

Loved the modern and updated feel compared to other local hotels this one wins by a landslide

Other than the front desk the staff seemed to be out of the loop about things that were listed in guest amenities. The restaurant was horrible , many mistakes, items being substituted without guest knowledge or approval and a lot of items out of stock , bee inconsistent restaurant

- Hotel felt new and was clean. Western standards. - Staff was welcoming, even if communication was sometimes complicated. - We didn't use the pool cause it rained the whole time, but it was big and would be enjoyable with some sun - Free parking at the back of the hotel - Located at walking distance to the city center and the only MacDonald in the country (and its expensive!) - Food and beverages decently priced compared to other western hotels

- Rooms were not that big, it got filled up real quick with 2 big luggage open on the floor, taking a lot of space - Breakfeast was underwhelming - Probably a bit pricey for what you get, but it's not egregious

Friendly staff, clean room, good, reasonably priced food and drinks.

We couldn't both sit in an armchair to relax in our room.There was only room for one. The last three nights they had events on and the noise came up to our room late. I wouldn't want to the take babies or young children there for this reason. The window didn't open and was covered in grime. We could see down to the rough flats next door.

The staff were so lovely, all Samoan staff have been lovely to deal with but the Lava Hotel staff seemed the most professional and went out of their way to help. Our flight was delayed by a day and they were very helpful for us in that situation. Great location if you want to be in Apia town, walking distance to everything. Restaurant around the pool was great, we had the best cheesecake, and breakfast was great too.

Our air conditioner was really noisy, we were at the front of the hotel and we could hear the road noise, but then it quietened down by 10pm. We could also hear the restaurant music and cheers (to the rugby), but that also quietened down by 10pm.

Breakfast was amazing. So many good options to choose from.

One thing that did NOT sit right with me was the fact that one of the F&B attendants had come up to me to ask for my room number & during mid-conversation she had walked off. Her attitude towards me was disrespectful and that was uncalled for. I suggest she gets a little more training done for manners. Disappointed. I am extremely happy with every other staff member that took care of us , especially the 2 lovely receptionists that checked us in. They were amazing as well as the lovely gentleman who served us with welcome drinks. Else, everything was okay.

Well maintained rooms and ammenities. We extended our stay twice because we had visited other friends and family at their accomodation and enjoyed our experience at Lava.

Fiafia night entertainment was fabulous - the buffet could be a little more reflective of Samoan cuisine. It was missing the dining experience to match the wonderful performerance of a fiafia night. Needed chopsuey, rawfish and luau to make it feel like the Samoan experience you wouldn’t get elsewhere. I don’t understand why occupancy is low because the location and indoor/outdoor floor is great. If you had an exciting breakfast and fiafia menu - you’d be winning!

My husband and I loved everything that was in your evaluation PLUS the convenience of the restaurant onsite. So good! The Fiafia night was outstanding. Unfortunate the caterer wasn't able to make but such a great night. The swimming pool was amazing! Loved being able to come back to the room at the end of the day and take a much need dip. The breakfast was so good. Took the hassle away from going elsewhere to eat breakfast. The convenience of the airport shuttle was a bonus too. The wifi was awesome, no problems with vid calling home (Aotearoa) each night. There was loads of parking for our rental. Apia centre was so close, took husband and I, no more than, 10 minutes to walk into town. Special shout out to your staff! They were amazing. So friendly and helpful.

Husband and I had no expectations and just wanted somewhere to enjoy our time together. Lava met all our needs and can't think of anything we didn't like.

Not many options to choose from in the breakfast menu. The location is perfect having access to the market and shops in town as well as the Seawall for morning walks.

The service was a bit of a let down for us in the restaurant and bar.
