We stayed in a beach front room that overlooked the bay. The tide comes in right to the steps just a few metres from your door. The bay is mostly sandy bottom so we sat in the water, sipping coconuts from the bar at high tide. Combine that with the beach loungers on the grass area and you have a very relaxing vacation.

Not a dislike but it's definitely much easier with a rental car. There aren't any food options near by so if you have dietary requirements that are not catered for at the hotel restaurant then driving to town etc is much nicer. There is a fridge in the rooms so bringing extra food back from town is an option too. Just clean up well as the island has lots of bugs.

Rooms were clean as was the whole complex. Place is tidy with lovely gardens and a beautiful view out to sea. Loved swimming in the sea off the front of the property which was safe too. Tropical fish to look at in the water. The swimming pool was pretty good and the staff very friendly.

Probably the one slight disappointment was the food. We expected that Samoa would have more local fresh seafood and fruit however perhaps that was due to the time of the year. Breakfast was average and getting optional paid for food was slow. That said we were on island time.

We had a lovely stay here, beautiful location with tropical gardens bordering the ocean, exactly what you imagine in the south seas. Open plan garden with bungalows and restaurant/ bar area with great seating area jutting out over the sea. You can watch fish right below you and from the deck. Nice accommodation to suit all size groups or couples. Very friendly and efficient staff and meals were superb quality. We ate at restaurant every night, delicious meals especially the fresh fish meals every day. Nice cocktails too. Nice swimming pool and great swimming and snorkeling in warm water just off the shore, not very deep so great for children. They also had a local dance troupe and singers perform one night with fire dancing. Free shuttle to and from airport. Good location along the coast so it’s very peaceful, although Samoa is not very busy or noisy! There is a very small shop opposite the resort driveway. Beautiful island and people and great resort for a holiday.

Not a criticism, but if you want to see the island you need a car no matter where you stay. We hired from Taumesina rentals in Apia, very friendly and economical rental. Definitely hire and drive around the island, it’s very beautiful and worth hiring. You can order a taxi at front desk to get to Apia.

Beautiful views across ocean. The ocean is right there from the pool, and the restaurant. Can walk into the ocean right from the restaurant/pool area and snorkel. Poolside and beach side rooms good. Food good especially fish but portions can be small on some of the cheaper dishes so we always ordered an extra bowl of chips Breakfast - French toast, pancakes, fruit, toast, baked beans. Some variety each day eg coco Lisa one day and panekeke another day. Sometimes breakfast a little cold but not a big deal in the Samoan heat. Good cocktails! Comfortable bed, good shower. Lovely relaxed and friendly staff. Other reviews have mentioned the pool being dirty but this wasn’t the case it was a lovely pool area (though no shade over the water and no deep pool if you are looking for that).

Stray dogs/cats (but we also had this at a much more expensive resort in Apia so I think it’s maybe unavoidable in Samoa). Patchy wifi. Some of the facilities and decking are a little tired and they did have a power outage one day but they soon fixed it. If you’re looking for impeccable facilities and subservient staff then this might not be the place for you. But if you’re looking for amazing ocean views and a relaxed family feel then this is your hotel.

We LOVED LeUaina. Firstly and most importantly the price is exceptional. So cheap compared to other resorts, but still had top quality service, beautiful grounds/accomodation, and the location of the resort was super handy only being 40 mins away from Apia, but far enough away to have your peace and quiet. Obviously one of the closest tourist attractions is Piula Cave Pools which is right next door but we also went to the south side of the island (To Sua, Vavau Beach) which was only a 30 minute drive whereas it would be an hour or so from Apia. The complementary breakfast was delicious and the prices of the food and drinks for the lunch and dinner menu were so so good! We stayed at another resort during our time which was more expensive and higher rated but I would honestly come back to LeUaina instead if I could! Also the sundeck right infront of the water was beautiful and we could swim in the ocean whenever we wanted and the pool too!

Can’t fault it whatsoever.

The location was okay, close to my mum's house.. The ocean view house was great need a dressing mirror as was only a small mirror in shower

At the dinning area, you should have some stuff around to monitor guests tables while they're in and out getting their food n drinks.. Our 1st day while having our breakfast there was a young couple sitting next to ours, they had their food already on their table and they went back to main table to get some coffee but 2 cats jumped on their table and start eating the couple breakfast and no staff around, should have a staff to monitor the guests while having their breakfast, lunch or dinner

My family and I (my parents, 4 siblings and their family) loved every minute of our stay at Le Uiana Resort- beautiful scenery - friendly staff - spacious rooms (we stayed in the LeUaina Beach suite) my parents and my brother and his two kids were our neighbours next door lol - kids loved the pool right outside our rooms - responded to my families requests weather it was re change of rooms, if needed extra bedding’s or sheets changed did it with a smile - breakfast was my favourite I had the sua fa’i, fresh fruits brown toast and coffee. Kids had pancakes 🥞 with maple syrup and juice. - Piula cave pools 3min drive from the resort

We stayed for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. What we really liked: - staff. Fredrick was great to deal with and always accomodating when we wanted to ask questions, regardless of if he was busy or not. After a bit of a hiccup on arrival, he really saved the trip for us - swimming pool. The middle pool was so nice to relax in and my toddler was able to walk around. We spent hours in the pool - cleaners. Always asking if we wanted the room cleaned before we left for the day. When we didn’t want our room cleaned they always left clean linen for us outside the room - privacy. We weren’t overly bothered with small talk and appreciated that we were mostly left alone to enjoy our holiday. Staff were attentive at the same time but respectful about not doing too much - airport to resort and vice versa transfers. This is offered free if you stay longer than 5 nights I believe. It’s about 90min drive at most from the airport and we really appreciated the team helping us out when our flights got a bit mixed up - breakfast. Always yummy, I always went for the Samoan flavour on the breakfast menu but they have something for everyone eg cereal, eggs, toast, pancakes etc

After a long long day of multiple flights, flight delays, minimal options of food and drink (due to it being Sunday), travelling with a toddler and the inability to access medications quickly, it was a tough day. First impressions really do count, and because of this we almost cancelled our accommodation here. Just a simple smile and greeting at the front desk would’ve really changed the mood for us, however we were greeted with surprise and the receptionist was unsure of what to do. It was all a bit hectic and the power had been cut off before we arrived so the heat didn’t help either.

We were meant to arrive around 5.30pm, due to catching up with family ended up arriving after 10pm. Security was there and key was waiting for us and it wasnt what we booked. They had kindly upgraded us to the Ocean View Villa. Stunning! I love the changes/upgrade that have been made to the resort. Staff were absolutely loved. Servicing of our rooms when requested were spot on. Faafetai Le Uaina Staff you all made it a memorable stay for my sister and I

Nothing disappointed us
