I absolutely loved everything about the stay at Swissotel Makkah. It is located at the King Abulaziz clocktower hotels, with direct access to the Masjid Haram through the mall. The hotel is very clean, modern and well taken care of. They provide you with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, and very well managed. We were kindly offered late checkout and luggage drop free of charge as we had extra hours to kill after checkout. I would personally like to thank Dawood from the conciergerie staff who was absolutely nice and welcoming and accommodating while handling our luggage drop off very professionally and efficiently. He made sure our luggage was safe and well taken care of, while providing us with everything we needed to be comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to perform hajj or umrah.

Nothing!

Our recent stay at Swissôtel Makkah was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to its exceptional location and the breathtaking view of the Kaaba that left us in awe. Situated just steps away from the Masjid al-Haram, the hotel’s proximity to the Holy Mosque made our spiritual journey seamless and deeply fulfilling. Waking up to the sacred sight of the Kaaba from our room was a profoundly moving experience—one we will cherish forever. The culinary offerings at the hotel were a delightful surprise. From lavish international buffets to authentic Arabian delicacies, every meal felt like a celebration of flavors. The iftar and suhoor spreads were particularly impressive, blending quality, variety, and presentation to perfection. What truly stood out, however, was the heartwarming hospitality of the staff. Their attentiveness, warmth, and dedication to ensuring our comfort made us feel genuinely valued. Whether it was accommodating special requests or offering thoughtful gestures, the service exceeded our expectations..

The only minor challenge we faced was the difficulty in availing Uber/Careem during Ramadan’s peak hours. While the hotel’s location is unbeatable for Haram access, the surge in demand for ride-hailing services during rush times meant longer waits. Planning transportation in advance or relying on the hotel’s concierge for alternatives helped mitigate this issue.

Best thing about the hotel was the Kaabah view from the room IF you have booked it that is Comfortable beds. Massage chairs on floor P8 10 riyal for 10 mins 👍🏼 Location to masjid Al haram. Can access from entrance and also the clock tower shopping centre.

Bathroom is very small and dated. Cleanliness wasn’t great for a 5 star hotel unfortunately. It’s difficult especially if you are in the state of ihraam. Should provide unscented hand wash atleast as anyone that will be staying at the hotel will be definitely performing umrah. Staff weren’t always accommodating to our needs and found things like replacing a leaky iron too much of a job. When we arrived our room smelt of smoke and when advised they just put scented card in the air vent which just smelt like a mix of smoke and apple. Breakfast was same every day and spread out in 4 different places.

Excellent location and made it so easy to go to the Haram. Very good selection for breakfast and staff always trying so hard to be helpful - lovely people who never break a sweat even though they are rushed off their feet.

Air conditioning problematic- they were not able to sort it out although they did attend each time asked to deal with it. Created a damp smell in the room so something is not quite right.

I stayed with my two kids, room size is good for 4 people. Although from the picture is really hard to tell if the bed is fit for two people but bed is really good size. Each bed can fit two people easily. Amnities are very modern and clean. Also you can hear the azan and pray in the room speaker which is linked to haram. I had breakfast included with my booking. Breakfast had very good variety kids loved it. Hotel services is exceptional. Whatever you need they provide you in few minutes. Even we didn't have to buy drinking water. Some people was moaning about Wi-Fi but I received seamless service. The good thing hotel has two exit. One exit is through the mall and get out from clock tower and you will be right on the mosque ground which takes around 5 minutes. If you have kids and use a stroller then I would recommend to use the other exit which is the main road and it goes straight to the masjid ramp. You can go upstairs with the stroller straight away. Just one straight road. From door to masjid it's five to seven minute. The hotel has a prayer hall for men and women both which is really good if you can't make it to the mosque and they pray with the haram there is no imam. I would recommend this hotel especially if you have kids it's very close to haram.

The stay was very good and a perfect location when you are coming to perform Umrah or visit Haram. The breakfast was nice and I would highly recommend room service - the food was fabulous! During checkout, I had ordered a taxi from outside - lesson learned that always book a taxi through the hotel especially when travelling back to Jeddah as the entrance to the hotel parking is at times, not allowed for outside taxis and it can be very stressful. However, in my case, Mahmood Al Haq from concierge came to the rescue who went out of his way to help get the driver by directing him and myself, in addition to taking care of our luggage and my elderly mother to get the taxi in time to get to the airport. I will always be grateful to Mahmood for his help and hope I can personally thank him someday when I visit next Insha'Allah - a reason for me to go back and stay at the same hotel :)

The lifts need to be better managed. At peak times, it takes a long time to get a lift to the room or when one is trying to get to the Haram for Salah. A small thing but maybe there is a way to make it more time efficient.

We loved everything about this property! Especially the staff at Swissotel Makkah. Please pass our highest regards to ABDULLAH- Front desk customer service representative. His kindness & helpfulness made our trip memorable. The Buffet Breakfast Manager- MR. ISMAIL OMER, should be commended for his superior service that he provides daily. I was observing him and noted that he was so helpful to every single guest at Swissotel Makkah. He helped provide my children’s dietary needs, he always made sure the guests at the property were happy, comfortable and that they received the best experience. The rooms are clean and cozy, the beds are comfortable. One call made to reception and they come right away. We will definitely be returning! Our home away from home إن شاء الله

Nothing! If we had time to stay longer, we would’ve happily stayed.

The hotel was an excellent choice, offering a wonderful experience overall. The restaurant, in particular, was absolutely amazing, surpassing expectations. The chef Ahmad Barbarie, stood out for their exceptional skills and their willingness to go the extra mile. Not only did the chef create delicious dishes, but they also took the time to explain the intricacies of each creation. Their passion for their craft shone through as they lent a helping hand to their colleagues, ensuring that all the food was presented beautifully. It was truly a unique and delightful dining experience at this hotel

Thank you for the high floor. We stayed on floor 47. Initially the sink and the bathtub in the bathroom rooms were clogged before we came. We had to endure for an hour but was rectified thereafter. The lady who responded to our telecalls was very patient and obliging. It greatly reduced our discomfort. Alhamdulillah. Syukran. Please give us this floor if we come back to stay in your hotel. Since we already booked way in advance, we would appreciate for our next visit, our three rooms could be close by as we came as a family. Please do take this into consideration for other families, too. Jazakallah khair. We really enjoyed the quiet rooms. The ambience at the aisle, rooms and elevator was par excellence. I would like the thank Mr. Abdul Rahman from reception for his kindness. Lady officer at reception was also accommodating when our family need to extend our time to enable us to refresh after Tawaf Wada. Really appreciate it. The service by the Indonesian service man for our 2 rooms 4212 & 4208 was excellent. He is always polite. His service is par excellence. We did not get to say our final thank you on our last day. There was a good spread at both buffet areas for breakfast. It was fantastic that at our own table, we were able to get our own teapot and coffee with milk. However, please do have a small spoon to stir our hot drink. Overall, sweet and savory spread was acceptable. Our experience purchasing sandwiches and desserts at the hotel cafe at the reception area was good. It was heartening that the ones who served my wife treated her with dignity and tactfully told another guest who cut the queue to be in line and wait for his turn. Appreciate it very much. We bought the vegetable grilled sandwich and dessert several times during our stay. Concierge person helping us with the baggage was also very helpful. While we were waiting, he brought out chairs to enable us to sit. The car was in excellent condition. The driver was very polite. Thank you very much.
