Amazing location, very welcoming with Raki and wine offered when we arrived. The breakfast was so good. Super clean. Will definitely stay again next time we come to Berat. The room was really clean and comfortable. The shower was hot with toiletries provided and a hairdryer. The location is very nice, a very short walk to the promenade.
We would book the deluxe room/bigger room next time as we didn't realize for the standard room that the toilet is in full view of the bed in the same room with no privacy.

The host is incredibly hospitable - he drove us from the bus terminal to the hotel and helped us with the luggages, after which he offered us with delicious homemade raki and wine. Breakfast is made from local organic ingredients and included for free. Our host also ensured that all the raki, wine, and snacks are available for us to grab for free whenever needed. If you’re visiting Berat, you cannot miss this place!
Nothing...Everything exceeded our expectations.

The rooms are very nice and modern. Very comfortable beds, AC, hot shower with good water pressure. As for the location it’s absolutely perfect. In the historic center of Berat right in the middle of the cute cobblestone alleys. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Also there’s a parking very close to the hotel. This little boutique hotel has just a few rooms. It’s run by the friendliest owners and they really go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The service they offer is really good. It’s very heartwarming to see the owners enjoy their occupation that much. Don’t hesitate and just book here. They even have a restaurant run by their son. So if you’re arriving after a long drive and just want to relax here you can book a table with them.
Nothing, it’s great.

What can I say? Julian and Peter couldn't do enough to make my stay special. In true Albanian style, the experience was warm and welcoming. Amalia was the name of Peter's grandmother, so the residence has been in the family for generations. It has been renovated and is absolutely charming. The family is quite influential in Berat and have travelled overseas themselves. So they know how to make guests feel welcome. They make their own Merlot wine which is available to guests free of charge!!! Vasco da Gama couldn't sail around the breakfast it is so huge and magnificent!! Great place, great experience!!

Lovely boutique hotel in Berat. The place is located in the middle of the picturesque old town, in a tastefully renovated old house. The rooms are very nice. The owner is very friendly and gives you a lot of tips on what to do in Berat and Albania. He also offered wine, jam, and raki to guests. The breakfast was very good and portions were large in case you are hungry. Overall, we had an amazing stay in Amalia Boutique hotel.
The only very small thing is that, in the room, the toilet/shower and the bed are separated only by a glass door, hence there is little privacy if you are staying with someone else in the room. But it looks beautiful nevertheless.

A stunning property in the heart of Berat. When we arrived we were given homemade wines, local teas and homemade rakke. We were shown our room which was clean and tidy. For breakfast a stunning spread was put out, never been so full and ready for the day. The location was absolutely perfect. We are hoping to come back in the summer for hiking and will deffo choose here.
A rec is to bring ear plugs. Berat has a lot of dogs and cats that run about, so earplugs were fab.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Everything was perfect. The room was vast and very clean, full of charm. The dinner was fantastic, everything was very tasty and the service was fabulous. The father and son team were amazing, so generous and attentive. The breakfast was amazing and huge!! We just loved this hotel and would not go anywhere else when we come back to Berat. A real pleasure! Don’t look for another place, this is the best
Nothing!

Location was good. Easy to find, with easly accessibility parking nearby (2€). Place was clean and nice, room was smaller than it looked on photos but overally nice. Breakfast was really big and tasty. We also enjoyed common space downstairs, where there were local local beverages for guests to try and enjoy. Also its a place where You can spend time with other guests in the evening, which we did and met great people.
Staff are older people and they were nice and polite, but unfortunately they don't speak or understand English at all. God bless translators :)

A cosy family run place with many extras provided by the host Peter. He was welcoming and ensured that there was a plant based option for my husband’s breakfast. In addition, there was herbal tea, biscuits, water, homemade wine and raki available for the guests to enjoy. We had the family room that has a small sleeping loft with single beds as well as a queen sized bed on the main level. The bathroom is modern and there was a small fridge in the room. Guests may use the kitchen and microwave as well as a small sitting area inside and in the garden.
The building is very old so there is only a tiny window in this room along with a skylight that ( maybe) opens in the loft. We didn’t try as there was some rain while we were there. This made the room dark although there was good lighting available. There are two out of four rooms with full windows if that matters to you.

A delightful renovated small establishment tucked away in a pedestrian precinct (do not expect to wheel your luggage up the cobble-stone lane). You will not go hungry with the breakfast! Proprietor was most helpful - parking was easy (off-street about 60m away at the extremely reasonable cost of €2/night). Crisp white bath linens with gold embroidery.
A problem with many establishments in this part of the world: there is no bench space (and few, if any hooks) in the bathrooms.
