All the guest rooms are on the second and third floors, so you can enjoy a fantastic view. The station is really close, so it’s easy to get anywhere you want to go. Housekeeping tidies the rooms every day. Spacious and very comfortable, the bathroom is a pleasure to use. Water pressure and temperature are just right. Wi-Fi works perfectly. Big, soft, and spotless, the bed ensured a restful night; no bugs or dust in sight. A built-in HDMI port on the TV let me plug in my laptop and use the screen as a monitor—no point watching German-language channels I wouldn’t understand anyway.

The bed and storage take up most of the room, leaving only a small desk and chair, with very little space to move around. Since I mainly needed a warm bath, a comfortable bed, and a place to use my laptop on the bed, this wasn't an issue for me. However, those who enjoy relaxing on a sofa should take note.

The Small City Hotel is located in the heart of Hamburg Bergedorf, just a five-minute walk from the train station. You'll find small shops and a shopping center right around the corner. I requested an early check-in at 1 o'clock, which was approved. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms and facilities are consistently clean, and the bed, pillows, and linens are quite comfortable. Daily housekeeping is provided. The industrial design of the hotel is also very appealing and aligns well with the overall concept.

The rooms are quite small, But the designer makes the most of it... 😊😊😊

Location was great, only a few minutes walk from Bergedorf railway station just before Woolworths. Buffet breakfast is substantial and gluten free options are available (for gluten free bread inform reception at check-in). Rooms are air conditioned which was appreciated during the hot spell of our stay Staff very friendly and helpful.

Better hotel signage. It's not obvious from the railway station where the hotel is situated. You have to be at the ground floor entrance to notice signs on the door.

The location to the railroad and the water was the reason we chose this hotel. We were lucky enough to get a room overlooking the water which was fantastic. The room is functionally furnished but not as sparse as other hotels (so not Ikea clear cut style). The only issue I had was the pillows, but that is something very individual. Overall a very surprising hotel. The breakfast bar was excellent. My partner was not a fan of the scrambled eggs. Otherwise great juices and different types of bread as is custom for Germany. Loved the little buns !

Awesome location, and such a beautiful town. We were kindly offered a canal view room which was spectacular. Breakfast was good and offered a varied selection. Eweline (hope the spelling is correct), who is one of the reception staff was wonderful. She was very friendly and welcoming. Any requests were met with her beautiful smile and willingness to help in any way.

We did have a little trouble finding the location, even though we were standing right in front of the building. The signage definitely needs to be improved. Apart from that, it was fantastic.

The Hotel location is amazing, just 2 minutes walk from the train station and 25 minutes to the city center by train, which arrives every 5-10 minutes. The room is super small, but they managed to put a lot there! I had room with the window into the internal yard and it was quite all the night.

The doors are located very close to each other as the rooms are small, the walls are thin so at some point I thought someone is trying to enter my room, but it was a neighbor.

The location is just Infront of the Metro station; Foods & shops are available just below the Hotel. Staffs are very kind & helpful. Even they guide me whenever I need their help for the details of the places where i have to go for my business meetings. I will give full marks to the staffs as they really make my trip memorable stay in this hotel. Thank you.

Only 1 thing that the rooms do not have Ketley for making Tea/coffee inside the room.

Great central location with view on the river. Close proximity to public transportation , bus and rail station and 24hr supermarket. Good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff.

2 people had hard time moving around the room.. one had to sit down on the bed to let other one pass by. Minor inconvenience though.

Super friendly and welcoming staff, stylish rooms with a big comfy bed & a yummy breakfast in the morning! Check-out & check-in were super easy. Hotel is very close to the station, many restaurants and a nice area by the water.

The walls aren't so sound-proof and you hear quite a lot from the neighbors, which makes it a bit difficult to sleep.

A 20-minute train ride from the Hamburg city centre so the location is not bad and you can pay a fraction of the price compared to staying in Hamburg city centre. Very clean room and comfortable bedding. Comfortable air conditioning.
