The hotel owner is very kind and his food was so delicious! The place is surrounded by a beautiful mountain range and it’s a 3 minute walk from the Shirahige waterfall. The hotel also has an onsen which was very nice!

I’m not sure if they have a laundry room but it was difficult to find a coin laundry nearby. It would’ve been nice to get more amenities for those staying multiple nights.

Top tier service from the owner. He used a translation device to speak with us. So welcoming. He drove us too and from the hot spring that was located in the other building a block behind. Hot spring outdoors was small and very hot. The indoor one was great. We had the hot spring to ourselves in the morning. The owner asked us if we had breakfast, and when we said no, he gave us two delicious Japanese pears. Felt homey and familial. Just a short walk to the waterfall scenery.

Facility felt a little dated with a weird smell in the main lobby area. Hot water stopped in the middle of our second person showering. No electric outlet by the bed.

The hospitality was exceptional and staff treated us like family. The lower level was a fine photo gallery and also filled with interesting antiques. We stayed three night and had breakfast and dinners included. The meals were excellent each night, the best we’ve had in Japan. Though the onsen was a 3 minute walk away, it had nice and very hot inside and outside hot pools. Also, the staff would drive you if you didn’t want to walk. I would definitely come again.

Once the owner heard its our honeymoon he got as a complementary champagne and 2 sets of beautiful chopsticks. The hospitality was incredible, felt like home a way from home. We needed a bear spray for our hiking, the owner went and bought us one for the day and would accept any renting payment although it is very expensive. Value for money was amazing and I cant recommend enough about this place! Also very reach and tasty breakfast was included in the price

The owner is very thoughtful towards his guests. There’s coffee for takeout. The onsen is located in Building B, and the owner fetches us back and forth the onsen, even though it was just a short walk. We took two dinners with them - both are good and lots of meat that we cannot finish.

The host was incredible friendly. He helped us very well, and made excellent breakfasts and diner. We are vegetarians, and he made the best breakfast in whole Japan. Also his son was very friendly. We communicated via Google Translate, and that was fine. If you go to Hokkaido, I will recommend this place the most.

the staff was very friendly and warm, the food was delicious and plenty and the onsen was great as well. we loved staying and talking with seitaro and his father and cant wait to come back again

The room is very simple yet functional.

The host is very friendly and attentive and always wants to make us happy. Although he does not speak english, communication was not hard becoz he has a translation device which made it easy for us to communicate.
