The property was easily in the best location possible half a block from "Hudson valley Brewing".Staff and management of the facility was very accommodating. Rooms were clean and had all the amenities you would need to live there long term. There's a restaurant attached to the property "Carter's" that you get 10% off at. Wonderful establishment. Would love to stay here again.

Wasn't anything not to like.

Rooms great. Lots of amenities, cooking facilities. Lots of lovely big towels. Comfy beds. Clean. Little things: wash up liquid and sponge provided, no tiny bottles of shampoo. Big things: rooms (we had the one shown above) a lovely size, big comfy bed, plenty of places to sit: brilliant. We needed assistance and it was prompt and pleasant and helpful

The entrance: unassuming and always smelling of weed, wondered what on earth we were walking in to the first time. Other people’s smells: cooking especially, permeated to a surprising extent. Lacking in instructions (we needed help to operate the heating in one room). It’s a bit unfinished: lovely bench with facilities to plug things in and charge phones but no where for the bench to be plugged in, for example.

The property is centrally located and walkable to all the restaurants and shops. The room was clean and and newly decorated. Room has a coffee pot and cooking appliances. John the owner gave us his card if we needed anything. Overall this was perfect for our stay in Beacon and we would stay here again.

As from many of the reviews - This is not a hotel and to get to the room is through a few hallways and stairs. There is no elevator. Which was fine for us but if you need help with luggage it’s not ideal. The hallway is shared with an apartment building and it’s a smelly walk to the room. The rooms don’t smell. There was no fridge which is weird if you have an entire kitchen set up.

Beacon Hotel has a really great location on the Main Street which was super convenient. We came by the Metro North from NYC and were able to walk to the hotel with ease. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We were also pleasantly surprised by the room, it was comfortable, lots of light, good shower and a good TV. Overall our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable.

The amenities mentioned items such as a hair drier and an iron, but we were unable to find those while staying. We also wish there was a way to leave belongings at the hotel property or nearby before check-in time. We were traveling with heavy backpacks and had a tour of Bannerman’s Castle before check-in time so we had to hike the island with the bags. Other than that, the stay was splendid.

The location was incredible, the value was good, and all of the check-in process was very easy.

If there had been any issues with the check-in process or room in general it would have been difficult to get it resolved since there were no staff.

Great location on Main Street and conveniently close to all shops. I’m glad we didn’t need a car at all while staying here. Room itself is clean, comfortable, well-stocked and well-decorated. Self check-in and out was easy and seamless, similar to a vacation rental.

The entrance to the hotel is shared with an adjacent set of local apartments that smelled like cigarettes, and that smell followed us up until we entered the room. The room itself didn’t smell bad but walking in and out of the hotel isn’t the most pleasant experience.

the location right on main street Beacon. My room was to the rear of the building and very quiet. it was large and clean, with a good size bathroom. Walking distance to the train station. Frequent trains to and from Central Station NYC. It is a lovely journey along the Hudson River, and it takes less than one hour to arrive in NYC if you catch the rapid train. There is also a huge parking lot at the station. Complementary bottles of water in the fridge, little snacks (chocolate and pretzels) and coffee Flexibility of the management. My room reservation was held, even though my Credit Card failed, and I it was possible to pay in cash

The entry to the „Hotel“ is somewhat strange, as it is accessed through the entry of a rental property, and it neither has a lobby, nor any staff. It is rather like an airb&b. Neither the sink, nor the bathtub had a plug.

Mr. John is an excellent representative of the Beacon community and it was nice to stay in a space owned by a community member. there are still some renovations coming to the space but it is a welcomed addition to the quaint mainstream feel of the area.

It is a renovated building so disability access is limited.

Location is Main Street central--easy access to restaurants, groceries, pharmacy (all within several blocks). Little if any noise, silence in the night.

It is what it is, so be aware: no elevator. If you're on the third floor, and you're carrying bags, you're in for a schlep. There's no service. The kitchenette could use an electric kettle for boiling water--currently only a Mr Coffee drip machine.

The room was adorable, comfy and cozy with the fireplace!! Such a nice bathroom with fabulous water pressure in the shower! Really loved all of the security measures. Felt very safe.
