Plenty of parking to the side of the property. Good security with multiple locking doors. Well equipped kitchen. The building was warm enough and also had air con if required. The bedding was set up ready and clean with new pillows. I met lots of lovely people and enjoyed my stay. People do hang out in the carparks opposite but I felt safe and my car was fine.

The amount paid at booking is actually the deposit. You then have to provide personal details pay the standard room fee to get the check in details. These are all requested in separate emails - expect to get about 19 email before you can get to your room. If you book after 4pm you may need to wait an hour or so to get the check in details. You have to download an app for the front door. None of this is explained in any of the adverts. There more mice, but I think this is due to the area and age of the building rather than lack of cleanliness as everywhere seemed clean, especially the bathrooms. The mattress sagged and was uncomfy.

Michie Hostel itself is a bit of a fixer-upper, but you can't beat the price for your stay. You do have a clean bed, showers and a kitchen available. The people I met there were good natured and wonderful.

This has nothing to do with the hostel (just the location): but I advise not going out at night unless you have a good buddy system. There is a lot of homelessness in the area. And when you come in the hostel, just make sure the door locks behind you.

A wonderful alternative to franchise hotels! My room was perfectly appointed with air conditioning, refrigerator, fresh linens, comfortable bed. Keyless entry felt secure and easy to use. Shared bathroom was available throughout the time I was there with hot shower. Shared Kitchen/dining area was spacious and convenient. Free parking onsite was an added bonus. Concierge Stefano was friendly, helpful and always available. Will definitely stay again soon!

I like the location easily accessible by bus to downtown Providence and away from the city. It was peaceful there for the most part. The dining area is very spacious and well maintained. The dorm was comfortable. But no air-conditioning it was very hot on top bunk bed.

The unisex bathroom and men walking in hallways wearing towels. The women did not. And a guy standing outside of the shower naked. I closed the outside door fast and went back to the dorm. I did not like the main door opened at night and guys banging on our dorm door. Thankfully one of the women went outside with them and gave them management's phone number. I did not the drunk women vomiting in the room and keeping me awake also yelling and swearing at night. most people were quiet a d peaceful. They were nice to talk to.

Didn't eat hostel breakfast, went outside for burger king.

There could be a park to hang around closeby, especially since it's in a rough neighborhood. That's something that needs to be talked about with the city gov't. It's unfortunately car centric the area and need more people out to enjoy or what the city is.

I enjoyed an inexpensive stay here for 10 days altogether. Here are some tips: NEVER RESERVE THIS HOSTEL IN TIGHT SCHEDULE if you have not stayed here before. You will find yourself in the situation (P) below. THE HOST IS TRYING HARD TO KEEP THE PRICE LOW, so there is no on-site worker. This hostel has interesting antique interior design, they have a new black fridge, a nice rooftop. How to use the security system ProdataKey: One must download and use the app called ProdataKey to unlock the doors BY YOURSELF. Using it is not difficult, but can be very tricky if you have not used it before. You must 1) install this app on your computer or phone, 2) activate it using your individual key code which will be delivered just before check-in, 3) use your device to unlock the doors of the hostel (it is not simple tapping). It functioned fine on my iPad, but did not work on my old Macbook (it may work on the latest version of Macbook though).

It's so easy to fall into this panicking situation (P): You cannot enter the hostel, get no immediate response from the host, feel you are unwelcome and must leave but still need to pay through booking.com. If you are lucky, other guests could help, so don't arrive late. The host as well as guests should try their best to keep the common rooms clean. There is a disco on the ground floor, which will be activated from time to time. Earplugs can be essential on such occasions.

It felt more like a home with rooms a large kitchen area no stove but appliances and utensils included. It also has a little tv area. Each floor has is kinda of the same. Each floor has a passcode and room doors.

It was clean. I advise you to bring your own towels and blankets if you’re staying for more than 1 night. There is a 24 hour store close by for quick essentials if needed.

Would definitely recommend staying here Stefano was a great host any questions and concerns he answered in a reasonable time. The room was nice clean and bed was comfortable rest of shared quarters are nice and kept clean definitely would stay here again

There's a bar or something next door that can get loud, but I didn't really care since I can tune things out easily. Someone else might care tho, but I still think it's worth it for the price!
