We took a chance with booking this hotel as we were made aware that it is in the process after a much needed refurbishment..... the ground floor has been done and while the room we had wasn't on the ground floor and wasn't yet refurbished, if, once done it fits with what the entrance area looks like then I expect that the standard will be very good. Our room was clean..... we booked a double and as the bed was 2 zipped singles we had a superking 😃. The room was basic and will definitely benefit from it's refurb when it happens, but it was clean and serviced. One of our mattresses had been more well used than the other and at first that concerned me, but I was perfectly comfortable and slept well. Staff-wise, the chap on reception was really jolly and friendly, pointing out the door code and WiFi password....we didn't see anyone else as we had booked room only and the sign at reception told us that the staff were outside at the time we left. Would we stay again? Yes.... I'd be especially interested to see the rooms after the refurb has been completed, but we're not that way again for another couple of years.

The room was a bit small for 2 single beds.....especially when together as a zipped double, but I have to consider that refurbishment work is underway and so I'm not going to be overly critical here. We slept well in a clean room that provided what we needed in the perfect location for our visit.

on my marriage break up I found myself sleeping in my car, but for £30-40 a room per night, I found this place great for a night's rest in comfort, could happily stay longer but obviously as with any hotel it would get expensive quickly, that said this one seems better value than most.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Orchard Hotel Gloucester – Always a Wonderful Stay! I’ve stayed at the Orchard Hotel many times this year. It’s always clean, calm, and super comfortable. Afaq is absolutely amazing. He always looks after me so well. The service here feels personal and kind every single time. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooms are spotless and cozy, with everything you could need. The beds are so comfy I sleep like a baby! I travel a lot, but this hotel feels like home. Afaq and the team make every visit special. I can’t recommend the Orchard Hotel enough. You’ll feel cared for from the moment you arrive.

This hotel offers exceptional value and is commendably managed. Exceeding expectations for a budgeted hotel, the room was clean and featured a comfortable bed and a well-functioning shower. Complimentary coffee-making facilities were also provided. The staff, particularly Afaq and the hotel manager Nanda, are to be commended for their welcoming and attentive service. This hotel is highly recommended for those seeking accommodation in Quedgeley. Its strategic location near the motorway and proximity to various retail outlets, including Tesco, Boots, and Aldi, further enhances its appeal.

Had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the overall management was excellent – everything was handled smoothly and professionally. It’s also budget-friendly, which makes it a great choice for anyone looking for comfort at a good price. For a budget hotel you get the perfect necessities you need like en-suite showers, smart tv, coffee/tea and a comfortable bed to get a good night sleep in. The location for the hotel is perfect with restaurants and convince stores around the area and Gloucester city centre being 5 mins away which is ideal. I had a well pleasant shower with High pressure hot water which felt really good and given me the best comfortable sleep with clean bed sheets. A special shout-out to the staff Mahnoor Khan, Anthony, Izzy and the manager Nanda – they were exceptionally kind, helpful, and attentive throughout my stay. Their friendly attitude truly made a difference. This would be my first choice if I was looking for a budget hotel. I’ll definitely be coming back and will recommend this place to friends and family!

We had a great stay, and from the minute we walked through the door, we were greeted with a great welcome from the staff member on the desk. I think he was called Antony he made sure we had storage for our bicycle, gave us extra milk,and advised on places to eat and drink. There are 4 of us in the and he made are stay so enjoyable 😉 😄 😆 please will you pass this on to him from Debra Dave Amanda and Steve x

We can honestly say there was nothing more we could have asked for ,rooms spotless bedding great fab value for money and fab staff member

I had stayed in this hotel many years ago and I did not enjoyed the stay as the hotel was dirty and unkept. I had to stay here again last week as it was the only place available and was not looking forward to it. I was surprised and shocked during my second stay. The hotel is under new ownership and I had an amazing stay. The reception area is clean and welcoming and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel has been redecorated and very clean. the rooms are perfect with a nice size TV. I would highly recommend this hotel and is definitely great value for money. I shall certainly be using this hotel for my future business trips !

There was nothing to not like

The hotel offers a positive guest experience due to its well-trained staff. My stay was exceptionally comfortable, and I was highly satisfied with the staff's responsiveness to my needs. While I initially encountered some noise disturbances, the staff promptly addressed the issue and relocated me to a quieter room. The room itself was comfortable and clean, and the proximity to local shops enhanced the overall enjoyment of my stay.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean, there were plenty of towels and the beds were comfortable. You could help yourself to replenish your tea, coffee, etc in your room, from the reception desk.

We were told the hotel was being renovated. Our rooms looked like they were half completed. We felt there could've been a better choice of furniture and it could've be situated better. We had to get a member of staff to move the furniture as the kettle and our chargers couldn't reach the plug sockets.

Amazing staff member who worked on the reception desk thursday night very polite and so helpful he is a credit to your team he was so friendly and so helpful although I was not there my friend who needed my support through a bad night she told me of her experience and he was amazing and so helpful thankyou to him he definitely deserves recognition and would recommend this hotel to anyone 😊
