Clean and comfortable, was a really good eating space and the back garden is spacious and cool especially on a hot evening, the room was lovely and comfortable, the only thing that wasn't too good was the TV remote control, it has quirks lol, some buttons didn't work and sometimes the remote itself didn't work so volume was stuck but TV had no buttons, advise a new cheap universal remote, apart from this our stay was great, lovely bed and well presented as well as comfortable and welcoming, was nice and quiet, the location is quiet too with hardly any road noise heard from the guesthouse and nothing heard once inside, the kitchen is well equipped and fridge and freezer are provided too, and that is excellent, even a nice note asking people to only take what they put in, breakfast is self serve and if you want seconds it's there, decent choices and more than one type of fruit juice which is nice, coffee machine and air fryer are all available to be used, we have enjoyed our time here and if we come by this way again, I would definitely consider staying here again.

TV remote control, needs a cheap new one, that's it, my only criticism.

There are no staff at the hotel, access is by a code number. The fully equipped kitchen and seating area are excellent and modern. There is plenty of food for breakfast (help yourself) and also a microwave which I used for an evening meal. Kettle in the room for making tea or coffee. I thought it was excellent value.

Good sizes room, we booked superior twin. Powerful hot shower was great. Our room had a little separate entrance room which was very handy. Kitchen had a fridge and freezer for use, and all amenities, including a proper bean grinding coffee machine. We made good use of the garden during the evening, cooling after a hot humid days travel

Lack of garden seating, but luckily, we had our own travel camping chairs.

I liked the location - near a park, close to shops, lovely bakery just around the corner. Parking is available, makes my life easier. Stunning garden! Was blown away. I liked the dining/bfast area, it's spacious, equipped and overlooking the stunning garden. Room was clean in the right places and soap in the shower was in dispenser and smelling nice. Tea, coffee available. The place had a good atmosphere and was quite quirky. I got a lucky upgrade and overall happy with everything. There is something about this place that makes it nice to stay.

Some areas were a wee bit dusty but not to a disturbing degree.

Comfortable mattresses, a quiet location, well maintained facilities with a good standard of cleanliness. Overall a good, relatively cheap stay.

Breakfast was a bit lacking, with it being self-serve and not having much variety (only bread, some spreads, cheese and cereals). Also the hot water tap was a bit loose, though that didn't seem to inhibit its functions.

I booked this stay for the Gloucester 10k and it couldn't have been any closer to the event. The room was compact but had everything you need. I asked for an hour extension on the checkout which was granted but the electronic locks stopped working,however it only took about 2 mins to sort out so well done on that front too. Would definitely use again.

Break fast area fantastic, beds very comfortable, on top floor so nice veiw of garden. Location for the shops, Christmas market and park was excellent

Wish there was info in room about where the breakfast room was, I would of gone got a coffee from machine when I arrived, the tea/coffee facilities in room only gave you enough milk for one drink and had no sugar or teaspoon.

i liked that the kitchen was available all the time so if we had wanted to we could have made dinner instead if eating out. Breakfast time there was plenty of choice to help yourself

we were just wondering if the code on the front door was the same for all the rooms as if so that meant all guests could access all the rooms as the code is the same for the room. if the front door code had multiple codes then this is not applicable

The access arrangements were great. one number to get into both the building and your room. The location was great. the actual street was a little run down but the park was right across the road and the city centre was right there too. easy access to both city and country ! It was a short walk to the quayside and all the entertainment and shopping that avails. My room had a lovely sunny window to sit and look out over the garden. The fact that you could go to the breakfast area at anytime of day and help your self to drinks and toast was a very nice addition to the normal guest house. It was kept spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly. Fab to have parking that near to the city centre. To be right in the the city and for it to be sooooo quiet was amazing. you could sit out in the garden and feel miles away from any thing. The garden access is also a lovely touch for a city centre stay.

If I had to find fault I would say the wifi was a bit slow but it was functional and they were working on it.

Great value for money, everything pretty much as described. I liked the concept of self check-in, self-serve breakfast, very uncomplicated. Nice big garden to the back, could perhaps do with a few benches.

On booking.com it said the room is soundproof..not too sure what that meant as it was facing the Main Street and could hear other guests talk and walk in their rooms. But for just one night and last-minute booking really good value for money.
