We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean and had plenty of room for the 3 of us. Sofa bed large and very comfortable. We used the pool in the morning , beautiful setting, very clean, water pleasantly warm. Followed this with a very good breakfast. My sister is coeliac and the staff went to great pains to ensure she knew what was available . There was excellent parking with plenty of room and the hotel is well situated for Gloucester Quays shopping centre and Cheltenham. Would definitely stay here again.

From the moment we arrived until the early morning checkout, the staff were exceptional, warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The receptionist set the tone with her friendly demeanor, and that same level of care continued throughout our stay. The restaurant staff were equally impressive: attentive without being intrusive, and always ready with a smile. It made dining a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a restful night. Though our visit was brief, the quality and cleanliness stood out. While we didn’t have time to use the spa facilities this time, they looked inviting and well-maintained so we’re planning a return visit to make the most of them!

Paying for parking

Ever member of staff we encountered was friendly, polite and very helpful. Despite the hotel being on a business centre the location was quiet and felt rural with no traffic noise. Lots of trees and wildlife around the hotel. The room was far more spacious than other hotel rooms we have stayed in, it had lots of sockets and lights and the air con was much appreciated. The blackout curtains did a good job also. The beds were very comfortable with a good assortment of pillows. Great facilities. Initially the breakfast choice seemed limited but actually there was enough to suit different people.

The soap and shower dispenser on the wall by the bath is unusable when having a bath, it is far too high to reach.

It was a stop over stay to a further destination. It was a great location for us as just off the motorway, but if you wanted to get into Gloucester centre, then it was a long walk. There was a bus that apparently was nearby to take you into the city centre. We arrived early and the staff were most helpful. Even though our room was not quite ready, we were made welcome in the lounge/bar. The barman put the rugby final on the tv closest to us as we were keen to watch it. Lunch, evening meal, and breakfast were great, and good value for money. We also enjoyed the swimming pool, steam, and sauna rooms. Sadly, the jacuzzi was too full of people for us to get in there!

The reception staff were very attentive and welcoming, they pushed the boat out and went above and beyond, even at 1am when we arrived. Big thanks to the staff! The room was spacious, clean and tidy. The TV and channel selection was excellent and the amenities were great.

The carpet had a black stain in the middle of it, which worried my wife who suffers with severe OCD during her pregnancy. I know these things take a lot of money to rectify, just letting you know. Also, the tiles in the bathroom had some wear and tear on them, which she was also worried about - incase it was dirty. It wasn’t but it caused her a small amount of stress.

Great stay, ideal location for us in between Cotswolds and south wales for walking/hiking, although apart from large Sainsbury’s there’s not much around. All staff were fantastic throughout, from reception, to the bar, & restaurant staff but the spa staff were particularly friendly and lovely. Breakfast was amazing, leisure facilities were fantastic. I don’t often do reviews but overall this was a great stay!

Menu prices are expensive, a bit opportunistic due to the lack of nearby food establishments.. and a £5 surcharge for room service is a bit steep…

No lift! Bar staff in the evening were not so good at food service (quite slow to deliver cutlery etc) Beds could do with better toppers - beds nice and firm (ideal for back sleepers but not so comfortable for side sleepers)

Room was comfortable & clean. Shower in the bath wasn't great for me being over 6ft tall. I appreciate you are trying to cater for many though so a minor inconvenience for a few days stay.

I didn't appreciate the immediate pressure to give gratuity's on anything booked to the room via the bar etc. That wouldn't be very comfortable for some people to deal with. I would never give a gratuity to a bar man who calls me mate & looks openly disappointed that I didn't leave a tip. I made it clear I was not impressed without being rude or impolite.

Hotel was clean and facilities were very good, the staff were polite and friendly.

We have an electric car and one of the reasons we booked was because it electric charging points however there was only 1 charging point that was in use so we were unable to charge our car and had to search the area for an alternate charging facility, this was very annoying! Given the size of the hotel and the facilities on offer and the fact that 1 charging point was all that was available we found very disappointing sadly, it did detract from our stay due to we were only there the 1 day to visit family in the area so our time could have been spent better than searching for ev charging points.

average hotel on the outskirts of an average city... In close proximity of the highway and that was handy for my trip purpose. However, charging 5 pounds per day for a basic parking outside seems a small rip off

breakfast served at late hours and at an outreageous price. If not booked in advance at booking, it would go to 20 pounds... for a concentrate orange juice and rehidrated eggs... kind of steep...Not too many details given at check in..except that you have to fill in an electronic form on teh spot to be able to park... Sorina did not let me a chance to breath until I entered the car registration details (difficult task for a rental without the licence attached to the fob)
