The microwave, fridge and fan were a great bonus. The room layout was nice. The cleanliness of the room and hotel was outstanding! We were very pleased with our room and facilities within and it exceeded our expectations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was also a GREAT price.

The location! Nearby facilities and the highstreet are a very positive factor, but unfortunately we weren't very keen on some of the local people hanging around and walking through the nearby area, mainly the high street. However, we would definitely stay there again. The positives of the hotel and local amenities far outweigh the minor negatives.

I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. Obviously it is not a luxury hotel, but for a budget hotel I must say it has been one of the best I have been in the UK. The room was quite large, more than I expected. There was also a desk and an extra table with fridge, microwave, kettle, cutlery and crockery, which were very helpful as I could warm up food in the microwave and eat in the room comfortably. I arrived over one hour before check-in time, but they would let me leave my luggage behind the reception desk, which was very helpful. The location was just perfect, literally two minutes from the station and a few minutes away from the Cathedral and the other main attractions and a few supermarkets like Tesco. The Regal Whetherspoon is also two minutes away and I would recommend that for breakfast, the prices were very competitive and the food was great. I would definitely stay here again if I will ever go back to Gloucester.

The room could benefit from a change of carpet and some minor refurbishment. The room could get a bit hot with the windows closed and without AC I guess it could get pretty warm during summer. However it wasn't an issue for me as I left the curtains closed when I was going out during the day, and left the window slightly open when I came up, and the temperature was ok.

The shower and bathroom are excellent, very new and clean. It's great that there's a fridge, microwave and crockery etc in the room. The bed was comfortable. It's really central, and close to both the bus and train stations. The staff were all really helpful and I could leave my luggage safely before and after check-in. Although there was a table and hard chair, a comfortable chair for relaxing would be a good addition.

Near the window, the carpet is worn and there's some wear to the wooden frameworks etc. I imagine these will be the next things to be renovated.......

A great location if you are using public transport. Train station is less than five minutes walk and the bus station is even closer. The staff were lovely, warm friendly and helpful. I arrived a little early but they checked me in. With Check in from 2.00pm onwards meant I was able to go out on my arrival day. Bed was lovely and comfortable. Good sized television. Heating was good. The microwave and fridge were a real bonus. Excellent daily housekeeping. Shops, eating places and local attractions all within walking distance.

WiFi tended to drop out.

I was literally only in the hotel for a few hours as I arrived late in the day and had an early start the next day but it did the job perfectly for me and I am sure it would have done had I stayed for longer. The hotel is situated just a few minutes walk from the train and bus station and based on my short time in the area appeared to be very central for all other amenities, The staff member who checked me in was incredibly friendly, chatty and welcoming as well! The room was massive with a very comfortable bed and the extra facilities such as the full size fridge and microwave along with full cutlery would make it perfect as a self catering type venue as well. A very large shower awaited in the well sized bathroom and it gave the perfect start to my day.

Nothing - it met all of my needs!

The location of the Hotel is within the city centre so ease of getting to the hotel is perfect, Coach station nearby too. The Room was very spacious and clean. Room had a microwave and a fridge which is extremely handy, nice big tv and the bed was comfortable. Spacious shower unit too. Staff were very professional and polite. This hotel I would Recommend as its ideal for self catering needs and location within the city centre.

The only issue with the hotels location is the late night noise, by those that return from the clubs and pubs. But does stop about roughly 1am. so if your into late nights this location won't be to bad. The Hotel staff actually can't do anything to stop this, as its out of their hands.

We always stay here, it is bang in the centre of Gloucester. A downside is that it can be noisy when the pubs and clubs kick out. You can park outside if there is a space from 6pm until 8am then you have to find alternative parking in one of the nearby car parks. There are plenty of shops and tourist attractions like the Gloucester Quays and the amazing cathedral. The Fountain Pub and Robert Raikes pub (which is housed in a beautiful tudor building) are both excellent for drink and food. The Pelican is an award winning camra pub that does great ales, but no food. Then is The Brewhouse at The Quays plus a Wetherspoons, both have seating overlooking the water plus a shopping arcade and a whole host of other eateries and drinking places too numerous to mention. We have always found the people of Gloucester to be very friendly and welcoming and look forward to our visits there.

As in all city centres parts can be a bit shabby and they definitely have their fair share of homeless people camped out in the doorways which is sad to see. There are also too many noisy seagulls messing everywhere.

Fridge and microwave in the room. Also the shower was excellent! The bed was really comfortable and it was very very clean! Staff were very friendly and it was quiet through the night. It was a little warm in the morning but there's also a fan. Also be prepared for the seagulls waking you up at 4am! Overall I was very impressed with the value for money and it definitely exceeded my expectations.

Hotel is in a questionable area of the city with a few 'undesirables' hanging around outside. Just be prepared for that. The hotel website recommended parking at the multi storey for £8 but there's also an ncp nearby which we parked at for £5 for 24hrs.

Excellent location for arriving by train & right in the city; clean, comfortable; tea&coffee, kettle, microwave, fridge, bowls, plates, cutlery, mugs ; staff helpful; able to leave bag with office staff on arrival in the morning as unable to check in until 2pm, which then meant I could wander round the city without being impeded by luggage.

'Worktop' could do with a revarnish - bit sticky; a teatowel not provided for 'drying' utensils etc after use

Great location. Very friendly welcome from Reception on arrival. Went to room and really pleasantly surprised at how good it was for the price. Comfortable bed, clean, tidy and clean bathroom. Unexpected use of microwave, kettle with tea and coffee and cutlery. Great for one night away. Hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Station, Bus Station and 2 minutes to M&S, Boots, Starbucks etc. Nice little cafe opposite too for breakfast. Highly recommended for a budget hotel.

A little bit of noise in the evening (music) but didn't go on too late. Typical of town centre I expect. Carpets were a bit tired in the room, but it was all clean and tidy.
