The hotel is well situated with beautiful views of the river. We were celebrating a friend's family members birthday who live in the village so it was a perfect location. The swimming pool area was a bit unkempt and lacking beds and umbrella but that may be because of the time of season the last day of our stay the area was landscaped cleaned and extra beds umbrellas put out. Had a very enjoyable stay the staff were very friendly and helpful And the snack bar was so good.

The hotel is based a short walk from town, on the banks of the river. This was the 3rd time I've stayed there and it's just as good as ever. Breakfast is varied and of very decent quality. Lots to choose from for all tastes. Rooms are large, clean and airy. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. The bar and snacks are reasonably priced and very good. The pool is fabulous, as is the setting overlooking the river. The staff are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble.

€10 for breakfast is quite a lot, and a high % increase from last year's €7 (even though it's good), and some areas could do with a lick of paint......but the rest of the hotel, facilities, staff and all-round value makes up for it.

We stayed on the ground floor overlooking the river and had clear views of the Zipline. It was out of season so it was quiet. The room was spacious, had net curtains for privacy and black-out curtains to block out light at night time. Everything was spotlessly clean. Lots of cupboard space and good sized bedside tables. We had a small patio with chairs & table - a lovely space. There was plenty of on-site free parking. A very easy walk into the village. The ferry does operate daily across to Spain & back and runs roughly every 30 mins from 9am. May change in season.

A no-frills and very well maintained place overlooking the river. A quiet night's sleep in comfortable beds (pillows could be a bit larger, but not a big issue). Lovely pool area. A limited menu for meals other than breakfast, but a good stand-in if you don't feel like the ±1km walk into town. Breakfast itself is very good value with lots of choices. Helpful and friendly staff. Ample free parking.

Everything good, just keep in mind the need for a 15 minute walk to town centre if you want other bar / food options.

Clean room and very fast internet speed. Plenty of wardrobe and Aircon worked well but noisy. The bath towels were large and the shower (in the bath) had good pressure. There was covered parking behind the hotel but limited however enough outside of the hotel which is a dead end area. Easy to walk into town (15 minutes) and plenty of restaurants, many along the river. Hotel breakfast was ample and plenty of choice for €10. Overall, clean and quiet hotel with a large swimming pool overlooking the river. Plenty of rooms (deluxe) overlooking the river Guadiana and also private balconies. Tennis court and child friendly.

My usual complaint! The beds were rock hard so hard to pad it out with the quilts. Absolutely no hooks on the bathroom walls which is essential. No restaurant on site for dinner, just snack bar. No complimentary water in the room and we stayed 3 nights and the glasses were not changed.

Excellent staff. Great pool and pool area. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet location. 10 minute walk to the town. Lovely small balcony with a view of the river. Everything very clean. Reception staff very helpful and Bruno in the bar area was very good. Tended to everyone's needs and even kept professional with ignorant guests. I would definitely recommend this place.

Everything was great however bathroom could probably do with a refurbishment. Mirror was broken.... metal lamps rusted over....non slip mat for bath was in horrible state. Having said this...the water pressure was great and everything was very clean. Might be worth investing in a mini fridge for rooms especially with hot season to have cold drinks.

Nice enough simple room on the edge of the pool area overlooking the river. Beds were comfortable and everything worked. A little more space would have been nice but all was fine. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is free and plentiful.

Unfortunately there was no restaurant as we would have liked to have dinner in. There were snacks in the bar which were good enough but not an extensive range. There is no really comfortable area to sit except some sofas and chairs in the lobby. The bar only has tables and chairs.

Quite austere and basic looking hotel but situated beautifully overlooking the river between Portugal and Spain and actually very good value for money. Bar served delicious lunches and you could get a drink/ coffee there at any time of day. Pool area looked nice although it was not the right weather for us to relax there! Short walk to town and river. Parking

Breakfast was very basic but adequate. I wouldn’t suggest going here for a romantic break as all quite basic, but very good value for money

I adore everything in this small lovely village: the people, the food, all the surroundings! Excellent if you want get away from a busy city. 😍 And this hotel is amazing for it. The staff is very friendly. It's very clean and it smells like a Spa🥰

It's a shame the fact that the swimming pool can't be open until later than 7pm. I think it should close at least at 8.30pm. Not sooner or later than that. I understand this is for maintenance matter but let's be more reasonable.. Its a very hot weather, I believe people will enjoy it more. 😊

We had a lovely light room on the ground floor looking out over the river (and so looking at Spain!) The grounds were lush and well looked after and in the summer we could have used the pool. The room had a little terrace, again looking out over the river. The bathroom was nice and spacious with a reasonable shower (kept going hot & cold on its own, but we persevered!) The bed was not very comfortable for me and the pillow was very small, but it was only one night, so all ok. Breakfast (just a little extra) was pretty good, buffet style with a good selection of food.

A fridge in the room would have been great, as would a kettle. Other than that, all was lovely.
