The hotel was in a great location and had allocated parking for cars. Only a few spaces but it was fine whilst we were there. There is lots of restaurants and coffee shops around and if you like walking an easy walk to the beach thorough the pine forest. Special mentions go to Gury who works in the bar and restaurant of the hotel as he was very kind in recommending places to visit and even booked a fantastic beach restaurant. He is also the best Chai tea maker I know! Receptionists Dulce and Claudia were very friendly and nothing is to much trouble.

Unfortunately the beach club wasn’t open whilst we were there as I think it is being refurbished. I look forward to seeing it on our return. The pillows were a bit soft but this is a small thing and I’m sure if I’d of asked they would have replaced.

Wonderful hotel, with the most excellent staff and team. Grand old hotel, well kept and maintained with beautiful rooms, beds, showers etc.

Only real downside was for 5* hotel, you should have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Otherwise it was perfect

Staying at Bordoy Grand House Algarve was a truly special experience. The hotel itself is elegant and full of character, perfectly reflecting the charm and rich history of the beautiful town it calls home. Every detail — from the thoughtfully preserved architecture to the warm, attentive service — made us feel like we were stepping into a timeless escape. The people we met, both at the hotel and around town, were incredibly kind and welcoming, adding a personal touch to every moment. A perfect blend of old-world charm and genuine hospitality — we can’t wait to return.

While the room, bed and furnishings were great, the layout was very odd. The shower was next to the bed, and no hooks inside or outside the door to hang your towel. When you step out of the shower, you are on carpet in the bedroom. Other than the general layout of the room, everything was very nice. Hopefully they re-open the restaurant for dinner service soon.

Exceptional hotel in terms of style, comfort and location. The staff were very friendly and happy to speak in English.

The advertised Beach Club was closed without any notification at the time of booking which was a real let down versus expected facilities due to be available. The hotel was going through an ownership transition at the time of staying in early June.

Beautiful old property on historical street overlooking the marina. Decor throughout was stunning with much history attached. Really comfortable stay, most welcoming and helpful team of staff.

Nothing to dislike. Newly reopened with plans to further upgrade ,as I understand. Lovely breakfast but no provision for anything else ,at any other point of the day at present.

Breakfast could be better, with more options, bread quality not good...put a toaster... staff only speaking english, we are still in Portugal!

The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
