The property was very pleasant indeed. The staff welcomed me and were always cheerful. The room was perfectly adequate for my needs and was cleaned every day. All equipment worked perfectly. The bathroom was small, but adequate. I am a big lad, but still managed fine. Towels were clean and replaced every day. Perhaps even more importantly; the shower worked well and had hot water. The rooftop seating area was lovely and faced the sun for most of the day. There was a nice kitchen area with microwave, kettle and a fridge to enable you to prepare your own food and beverages if required A supermarket was a 5 minute walk away. The main shopping and restaurants area is very close, as is the very picturesque harbour frontage. The bus station is less than 100m away and the railway station less than 15 mins walk. All in all a very pleasant stay and an experience that I intend to repeat in the not too distant future.

Villa Marquez is a very nice hotel located just 5 minutes walk from the marina and the ferry to Spain. The staff is very friendly and will happily help you with everything you need. My room was spacious with sideboards for your clothes and a comfortable bed. On the top floor there is a little bar-like kitchen with a kettle and a microwave as well as fridges to store your food. There are tables to sit down both inside and outside at the terrace. I enjoyed my stay at Villa Marquez and will stay here again next time I'm in town.

Everything about this property is thoughtfully done. You can see that the owners take great pride in doing things well. Spotlessly clean, nice towels and linens, soaps, hairdryer, very comfortable roof terrace, responsive hosts.

A personal preference, but found the mattress to be quite hard. The shower stall is also small, but don’t think the owners can really do much about this. Certainly would not prevent me from booking again.

Affordable This is my go to hotel when I have to do quick transfer to other places. It is affordable and pleasant with local vibe.

1. Decor & shower is a bit outdated. 2. Room can be cold at night (visited in March). 3. Small room. The space is really tight around the bed. I think the furnitures and interior can probably be updated a bit. but it's fine for a short stay.

Excellent value. Lovely welcoming staff, ideally located within a minutes walk of the waterfront & ferry terminal. Comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms. Well thought out communal kitchen and lovely terrace with a view. Exceptional value for money and highly recommended if needing comfortable accommodation for a fair price.

Ear plugs recommended amidst unavoidable noises of neighboring walls.

The room was very clean and comfortable.The location was excellent to the marina and restaurants. It was surprisingly quiet for the middle of town. We were in the apartments so got to use the fourth floor rooftop area which was fabulous. Really nice and helpful staff.

This isn't the property's fault, but perhaps make clear how to pay for street parking. The machines are about one per five blocks. Otherwise, everything was lovely.

Great location, helpful staff. Lovely rooftop area for light snacks with a useful little kitchen area. Kettle, Coffee maker, large fridge freezer, and plenty utensils, cups, bowls and plates and a view of the river.

Unfortunately only stairs to upper floor rooms, definitely requires lighting in the kitchen area for early morning travellers and late night snackers. Wonderful during daylight hours.

They get a very nice terrace at the rooftop of the building with sun all day

The standard double room is very small...I stayed alone but for 2 persons with luggage it will be a pain.

Very clean, towels and sheets changed every day. Communal kitchen and fridges made it easy to get your own breakfast or dinner, make coffee etc. Heater worked well. Excellent location and very good value.

Room and bathroom very small but ok. Lights were very low wattage.
