Large room with a large bathroom equipped with bathtub and a shower. Plenty of towels and bathrobes. Comfortable and large bed. Amazing 360° view of the city. Really exceptional view with several terraces and a rooftop bar on the 7th floor. Super centrally located right on the outskirts of the Bazaar streets and only a 10 minute walk away from main square with the horse statue. Small but nice pool within the rooftop bar (but not really a regular pool see below). Great view from the pool too. Breakfast delicious and with excellent choice. Several elevators, including a panoramic one, helpful for all the luggage. Good wifi, minibar with good choice. Staff smiling but not always helpful (they did not repair one bulb on Sunday because the maintenance staff doesn't work on Sundays).

Probably not really 5 star hotel standards as the hotel looks a bit old for some parts. It seems it was built in 2003 and renovated last in 2020. But definitely a good 4 star hotel. The pool is small and located in a bar, so not really for kids and limited to 4 persons simultaneously, so you need to plan your use of the pool when it is available. Also the barman is literally looking at you all the time as the bar faces the pool. See the rules of the pool in the picture.

The hotel has a perfect location just steps from the bustling Old Bazaar with its many restaurants, bars and shops. It’s also within walking distance from all of Skopje’s main sights. There’s free parking. The hotel doesn’t look that attracting from the outside, but that’s definitely compensated in the hotel itself as it has an atmosphere of conviviality. Staff is very friendly. The suite we had was super big, almost an apartment, and covered the entire width of the floor offering amazing 180 degree views of Skopje. The room is very comfortable. Breakfast is extensive and great. The hotel facilities are very good, with amongst others a nice rooftop terrace and a refreshing covered rooftop pool with beautiful views. Compared to other places we stayed in North Macedonia, this was definitely a five star stay for an amazing price.

We had expected to find some improvement areas after having read other reviews, but we could not find any.

We have stayed here before so knew what to expect. A super hotel in the centre of the old town, close to local shops, restaurants and a short walk across Stone Bridge for those who want an alcoholic drink. Rooms are spacious, bed are comfortable and breakfast is good. The staff are also very helpful and engaging, especially when 20 arrive on motorcycle need parking and all need to check in - the reception staff did a good job. Great value for money.

Our bedroom was spacious but did have an open plan bathroom, which in itself is not an issue. The issue is the bathroom area is up a step. While during the day this is not a problem, but a night, still half asleep, my wife got up to go to the bathroom, tripped over the step and fell heavily on the bathroom floor, severely bruising her shin. Maybe a little sensor light strip would be a good idea there. The group, who had been riding motorcycles all day were soooo looking forward to a dip in the pool too, and were very disappointed it was closed.

Especially the reception staff was very helpful, very good service! The hotel was clean, lot of staff meaning good service. Breakfast, breakfast room and breakfast service also very good.

The parking procedure seemed to be catastrophic. Obviously the friends of the staff members had occupied most of the parking places, so it took some time to get a place for the car - although this issue had been discussed when the reservation was made. Another embarrassing thing was the situation of the hotel next to several minarets - those very loud prayers made you woke up after 4 am in the morning!

- Very good breakfast (omelette, fried egg, fired mushrooms, fried bread, fried pepper, beacon, vegetable soup, sweets, fruits, etc.) - Parking: we always found a place to park, but even if all the places are busy you can just block other cards telling at the reception that you did it and they will ping you when needed or you can leave the keys to them. - near the hotel there are shops, Turkish food, kebab (at the main street). - all local tourist attractions in walking distance (we kept the car parked and walked around couple of days). - there is a terrace with good view of the city. The hotel is dominating in the area and seems to be the best in the area.

There was no hooks to put your cloth on when you come in (why not just put some hooks in the wall next to the entrance?) There was no tea/coffe facility in the room.

The location is great, just within the old city and walking distance to many of the sights, eg stone bridge and the Vardar river. Value for money is great, with full breakfast buffet and a large room.

The pool didn’t work, and limited understanding as to what was wrong. Our bathroom shower wouldn’t drain properly, so it was very wet after anyone showered. We reported it, but it didn’t seem to get fixed. The breakfast is a buffet, which while good value for money was the same everyday, and some of the bread didn’t seem super fresh

After several days in the Hotel Arka I have positive feelings. Rooms which I booked were spacious, comfortable and clean. Also big bathrooms were an advantage. Breakfasts were good. Maybe nothing really special but everyone could find something to eat. Also top of the hotel where the breakfast was served was giving great sight for the surroundings. Hotel Bar open till midnight was also an advantage. Staff was also helpful.

On the corridors there were some stains from time to time, what wasn't looking good. One elevator wasn't operating - I'm not sure if it was broken but also was giving the feeling that hotel might be not maintained very well (Another elevator was fine).

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The room was exceptionally clean, and the parking area right in front of the hotel was incredibly convenient. The location is fantastic—just a one-minute walk from the charming old plaza, making it perfect for sightseeing or enjoying the local ambiance. But what truly stood out was the incredible hotel staff. They were exceptionally helpful, thoughtful, and genuinely went out of their way to ensure a great experience.

The location of the hotel is great - just a few steps away from the hotel and you are in the historic old town of Skopje. Other attractions such as the Kale Fortress, the Chifte Hamam and the City Centre are also within short walking distances. The room I had was newly renovated, modern and very comfortable. I would also like to mention the wonderful view from the roof terrace and the warm welcome at the reception.

We treated ourselves to a deluxe room after several stopovers during a tour of the Balkans. The hotel is in a perfect location in the old town. The facilities are first class, the staff are great and the views from the rooftop terraces on the seventh floor are stunning. A really enjoyable stay !
