Perfect Family stay with Kids and Seniors. Property provides all necessary amenities, courteous staff, 24/7 room service , perfect location close to market, Railway station, bus stop,and Yatra start point. Though public transport is mostly auto and riskshaws which are easily available outside the hotel, the hotel provides a pick and drop van facility which makes it convenient for senior citizens. Inside the hotel there is a big lawn at the back side, a huge lobby and sitting areas, and the restaurant where the food was served was amazing. This was our second stay. at this hotel.while visiting Katra for Vaishnodevi Mata Darshan. Highly recommended hotel for staying with family and friends.

For us Hotel Ambica is a home away from home. Food is great, location is perfect. 5 mins from station, 5 mins from helipad and a 5 min walk to the main Katra market. You can’t ask for a better location. Their staff is extremely nice and courteous and they try their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I would specifically like to thank Mr. Karnel Sing and Mr. Baldevraj, both of them ensured that we have a wonderful stay and don’t face any in convenience, as we were traveling with our parents and kids.

The Staff at Cardinal Ambica is the USP of the hotel! By staff I mean the Restaurant staff, would especially like to thank "Mr Ashok Sharma" the head chef of the restaurant at the hotel , he literally serves you as if we are at his home, the food is served with lots of love and the taste is exceptional! We had great conversations with Mr Ashok Ji :) The location of the hotel is very prime, located in the center of the town, it's a 5min drive to the VaishnoDevi temple. The hotel was so kind, they provided us a pick-up & drop to the Helipad center. Extremely happy with choice of our Hotel. Rooms were exactly as shown in the pictures, good value of money, very spacious as well! Thankyou Cardinal Ambica for a memorable and pleasant stay.

Wifi, Bathroom Settings

The huge parking space for people driving, like me. The beautiful lawn at the backside of the property, the staff at reception, services and surrounding shops. Multiple good food chain restaurants like McDonalds, Dominos, Sagar Ratna etc are walking distance etc are key factors. Not to forget the free pick and drop services to trekking starting points.

Cleanliness of the rooms, linens and sheets could be a notch more premium quality. Most importantly attention to details for small items like coffee sachets in every room (missing in 1 room out of 2 booked), toiletries for number of people checking in the room to be made available prior to check in and providing at least two pillows per person upfront is something that will make the stay experience even better.

I think that this is the best hotel and restaurant in Katra. The chef really knows what he’s doing. Our Indian dinners over several nights were superb. Mr. Bisht, the hotel manager, helped us through our travel problems some small, some requiring expert advice with his full attention. His staff was always there for us. The best central location. Quite close to the railway station as well as the Yatra Parchi Counter. Nearby shops. Room spacious, clean, comfortable. Food was quite good, breakfast was delicious and had many choices. Linens were clean. Front desk staff polite and helpful.

Shower Gel container was empty. AC wasn't working for most of the second night, however, the hotel was running on generator back up as electricity was out, so it can be understood. Only thing was that I booked a triple room with garden view, however, the room was opposite the garden.

Ambica has a very nice location and entrance. Beds were clean and comfortable. Big pillows and AC and fan. Floors were clean. Breakfast was delicious and staff were very hospitable. Beautiful garden for fresh air compared to road pollution. Lots of bottled water and drink selection. Towels on request. Spacious room 202. Helpful and friendly staff. Treating like a home for yatris.

Only this was the shower and hot water facility. It would take ten minutes of running water before hot water available. Only downside is this waste of time and water.

Well located , good restaurants and shopping near by. Courteous staff. People at the front desk were able to help with local information. The property has a huge lawn with seating . Good beds / mattresses to rest after the long and tiring walk up till Bhawan. Spacious room.

The breakfast spread has freshly cooked food as well as cereals etc, some more fruits would have been definitely welcome. Duvet cover had marks / stains. Washroom had a broken switch and a cracked slab.

I visited Katra with my wife and kids for Mata Rani darshan. We stayed in a family suite having two double beds. Room was very clean with garden view. Breakfast at ground floor restaurant was good. We ordered dinner in room and food was very tasty. Hotel staff was very good. They offered free cab service to drop us at Helipad. Overall we all enjoyed our stay here.

During power-cut ac went off and weather was little hot so it was uncomfortable to sleep properly. But fan was working and temperature was moderate so we managed it. Slightly expensive.

Nice location, spacious room (we had booked triple occupancy which had two bathrooms), courteous staff at front office, housekeeping and restaurant.

We did not get hot water and we had to repeatedly inform to get the issue fixed every time we had a requirement. The bathrooms requires better maintenance.
