Nice and stylish hotel.

I was warned by the hotel about the limited capacity of the underground garage, and there really was no room left for my car. The receptionist did not open the garage for me and sent me to park in the outdoor parking lot, where the 20th century rules - the parking lot can only be paid in cash, exclusively with Forint coins. Of course, we didn't have them and the receptionist showed no interest in assisting us with this problem. Is it a problem for the hotel to give clients the option to pay more for accommodation and provide them with this exotic currency in cash so they don't have to worry about getting fined?

Good location, great breakfast, kind staff and comfortable rooms.

Airconditioning wasn't cooling at all and could not be set, I had to open the window for the night. The same in the restaurant, it was middle of the very hot summer and the airconditioning was not operating, it was very hot inside and no air. Windows were not openable.I guess it' s because of savings bot for this prices I would expect notmal aircoinditioning.

Great and centrally located. Had a single room which was big enough and very clean. Free water, coffee and tea in the room. Tv is a bit weirdly located but ok, there wasnt much alternative. AC was working well as it was very hot outside on that day. Many restaurants outside in walking distance. Staff war very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, really enjoyed it! Would def. come again

Location is excellent, right in the old town, in the area are many restaurants and bars. The staff was nice, the parking is underground, quite easy to access (they even had a special parking spot for an SUV). Breakfast was good, room was clean.

I don't have things that I did not like, perhaps it would have been nice to get a better price :)

Our stay was great. We just stopped over for a night during a long trip, but we were pleasingly surprised. The whole building looks like the estate of a nobleman. The room was huge, comfortable with everything we needed. We enjoyed it so much we are considering visiting again to visit the town.

The sound deadening is not great between the bathroom and the room, when someone takes a shower everyone in the room knows it, but this is nitpicking at this point.

Nice, friendly, lovely and very helpfull female receptionist on the day of arrival, but in general the staff was nice. Private parking place in the parking garage of the Hotel with my name on it made me feel very welcome. Breakfast was good. Location is superb in the heart of the old city centre.

Breakfast wasn’t great , choice and freshness and options were very poor

Aircon wasn’t great and it was v noisy but weirdly I was able to sleep through it , it blocked out any other noise

Location is very good and the staff is friendly.

Soundproofing could be improved: noice from the party on the ground floor could be heard in the room. Not very loud but still uncomfortable .

Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is perfectly located if you are a tourist.

Communication with the staff about the availability of underground parking was a bit difficult. I had two ask twice/insist before they made the reservation. There is, I believe, some inconsistency between the conditions for parking declared on booking.com and actual policy.

The rooms are spacious, the price is good and the hotel is situated right in the center of the city.

The name of the hotel might get a bit confusing. On the night of our stay, booking was showing the name as just Hotel Magyar Kirlay, but the building only has Mercure written on it, which threw us on a wild hunt. Outside of that all is perfect.
