The location of the hotel was excellent, near, in the city centre, but very quiet. The bathroom and the separate toilet (I prefer it this way, although most hotels nowadays have it in one room) was clean, cleaned every day. The staff was friendly. My windows opened on a nice little garden with birdlife-this in the middle of a city.

There was one day when the hotel was locked at midday, I could not go in, and although there was a sign with a telephone number on it (calling from a foreign number is not always easy), it did not work. I came back 30 minutes later, when it was open. It was inconvient, they said sorry. Maybe a simple bell would have been better for such occasions. THere was no English language tv channel (or German).

This hotel was a great price and easy to find. I walked from the train station and didn’t have any issues. The breakfast was fine and just what I needed. Easy to around the city from here.

It was very hot and there was no air conditioning or fans. The room had no circulation so that made it worse. Would be fine if it wasn’t such a hot summer day/night.

Perfect position, good breakfast (good bread and croissants,no savory). Good pressure warm shower, warm room. Very good private parking right below the hotel. Strategic to visit Dijon if coming by car.

There was a funny chemical smell in the bedroom. The single roll pillow which has no separate cover but is covered with the lower sheet is not comfortable and appears not to be hygienic. No lift.

Location in a quiet street a short walk from the city centre. Staff pleasant and very helpful. Simple traditional French breakfast, with a good coffee machine. Good basic facilities.

Parking is quite tricky in the underground garage. The wifi was functional, but I had to keep renewing the connection.

Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple and straightforward but generous and good. Location was superb between the railway station and the historic old town.

It would have been good to have tea and coffee making in the room, although I understand I could have got drinks from the bar.

A lovely, old world hotel. I don't remember the last I used an actual key for a hotel door. The windows opened to a nice view of the garden. It's a 12 minute walk to the train station. The hosts were very nice and welcoming.

The coffee and hot water for tea are in the breakfast area only. None in the room.

The place is very well located. The city center is five minutes away. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The place is clean. Two stars that Hotel Victor Hugo has are honestly earned. We enjoyed our stay.

There was only one power outlet in our room. And the wifi signal couldn't reach our room, although the internet connection throughout the hotel is strong.

I did not expect a suite - that was a great surprise. The location was a short walk from the town centre, and very quiet. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast good.

Maybe more croissants and less bread with the breakfast. That's all!

Considering the price range, it is an excellent choice. Close enough to the centre, clean albeit simple rooms, nice view on the back garden, comfortable bed.

The price was good, and the bathroom was nice. Also the room was very spacious. Nice man at the front desk.

It's a bit of a walk to the city centre, also not enough parking. Air conditioner was super loud, but necessary to try to sleep in the heat.
