The staff was great both at check in and at check out. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. We didn't have the breakfast because we had other plans. This hotel has several restaurants nearby, as well as Starbucks and Caribou for coffee, and a Wal-Mart and Target if you need any last minute or forgotten items. The Mall of America is about a 10-15 minute drive straight north on Cedar/77, and the airport is a few minutes beyond that.

The hotel shares a parking lot with a restaurant (Cowboy Jack's), so the lot can be quite full if you get in late. Also, the restaurant patrons are quite boisterous, so you may hear a lot of noise throughout the evening and at bar close. It's not the hotel's fault, and this is really the main shopping and dining area for Apple Valley, so it should be expected to have activity throughout the evening. Just a heads up to others that the crowd at Cowboy Jack's is noisy.

Breakfast was only OK. The last time I stayed there , Breakfast Sandwiches were available. The offerings were not the best. Coffee was OK. Pretty loud on Friday night. Quiet om Thursday/Saturday.

Already mentioned the breakfast. That was the poorest part of the stay. Not much you could do but upgrade the offerings for breakfast but that probably increases the room rates. Perhaps brand Breakfast sandwiches could be substituted for the other choices in the sausage/egg/mini-burrito offerings. Just somerthing to consider. I will stay there again. All else was good.

Clean, easy checking and out, beds super comfy

Parking was alright, but I think as it's right next to Captain Jacks, Drunks also park there. We arrived pretty late in the evening, and when we left the next morning, our tail light was busted out and on the ground. Looks like someone either fell into the car and broke it, or purposely broke it. It wasn't struck by another car as there were no other marks on the vehicle.

did not have any breakfast however the coffee was very good. the room was clean and comfortable. enjoyed the in room whirlpool tub although the tub itself seemed scuffed up and aged. the quickness with which it filled was surprising and appreciated. plenty of towels throughout the room and next to the whirlpool tub. the bathroom shower/tub and shower head fixture appeared new and worked great. fireplace added a very nice touch to the room. Michelle was prompt and helpful when needed on two separate occasions.

difficult to see the on/off button for the gas fireplace...maybe a dab of white oil based paint would make it stand out

The proximity to restaurants and stores was great. Cowboy Jacks shares the parking lot with the hotel. It is also close to the Minnesota Zoo. The pool was big enough and the hot tub was clean. The beds were comfortable and the A/C was working great. The shower had good pressure.

We had an adjoining room with a door between us and another family. We could very clearly hear the kids in the other room in our room. Breakfast was not the best but not the worst that has been offered. The elevator has seen better days and some of the light fixtures were tilted on the walls.

Perfect location for 5 friends from all around Minnesota to meet for a fun 3 days in Minneapolis. Delicious breakfast got our mornings off to a gr8 start. Check in was sooo easy for 5 at one time especially so with a last minute military discount presented! Been here before and will definitely return

The quietness of the room

My son had a toilet problem and he had to take care of it rm 208 The staff just gave him the plunger. My room the bathroom ceiling looked like they have problem toilet above me marks on ceiling some looked wet surfaces. Rm 107

Sleeping area size, breakfast selections, pool was nice for kids, ability to use front lobby for pizza party, cleanliness, air conditioning

Bathroom size was a little small, no ice on 2nd floor, bed was a little uncomfortable

Size of the room. Front desk staff were very friendly! Coffee was decent.

It's an older hotel. Needs updating. Two tvs only 1 remote. The remote had tape covering the batteries. Got a text at 8am inquiring about time of departure.

The staff was amazing

The parking lot was terrible. It should have been salted. It was so icy I almost got hit by a car coming in . I had to put my vehicle in AWD, otherwise I was sliding everywhere. All other roads were clear so obviously it was a their problem on not salting.
