We were delighted with the upgrade that the hotel gave us. The suite we were given was exceptional, spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel staff were charming and helpful at all times and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Breakfast was excellent and the staff in the restaurant were lovely. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the city wall and a further 10 minutes to the city centre, but it was an easy walk and outside the hotel was a bus stop to the city centre….. we could hop on the bus if we didn’t fancy walking. We would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel when we revisit Padua.

Everything was terrific

Hotel Patavium has a wonderful breakfast selection and a lovely space for breakfast that looks out over a small area of lawn/garden. You can eat inside or on a patio area. The location is fantastic, located about halfway between the train station and the town center - it's about a 20-minute walk to either of those. There is a little market a couple of doors down, a grocery store around the corner, and a laundrette on the same street - as well as many small restaurants and cafes nearby. I've stayed here before and liked it so much that I came back. The second time I decided on a slightly bigger room, and that made a lot of difference - on my previous trip, the room I was in (their smallest, least expensive one) didn't really have the desk space I needed, but I found the junior suite to be very spacious. And the jacuzzi tub was wonderful at the end of a long day of walking. The staff is very friendly and helpful - consistently true on both of my visits here.

Good location for walking to the centre of town, cafes, restaurants, shops and station. Local buses stop outside the hotel, going to the town and the station. Venice, Verona, Treviso and Bologna can easily be reached by train. A small hotel with different room options. We enjoyed having a larger room with a good sized terrace on the first floor with a fridge and kettle. There is a good sized communal terrace with tables, chairs and sun loungers on the first floor. Breakfast could be enjoyed in the dining room, sun room or outside in the garden. A wide variety of cold breakfast items were available. Staff were friendly and helpful and communication was good prior to our stay.

Although in a residential area, traffic noise etc can be heard at peak times so would recommend requesting a room at the back, not facing the street.

I loved everything about my visit at Hotel Patavium, but best of all was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - and I want to give a special shout-out to Louisa on this! She was super sweet! One of my favorite aspects of my room was the large shower; it was at least twice as large as at any other hotel I've ever stayed in in Europe. The shower had a shelf in it (not just a soap rack), and the bathroom had a full counter next to the sink as well. Another highlight was breakfast - really nice variety - very well maintained and with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It was also an easy walk to the historic center of the town as well as an easy walk to the train and bus stations. I would definitely stay here again!

What a lovely hotel. Only three rooms per floor that are private and quiet. Bed really comfortable with good quality linen and towels. Good bathroom with large shower and choice of rain shower or hand held. Breakfast good with choice of coffee. Various tarts and cake. Place outside in the garden to keep bikes. Staff very friendly. About a ten minute walk into the old city. Good choice of restaurants and bars. Kettle in the room. The elevator was excellent!

Located north-west of the Padua city center (not far from the Geox arena and the football stadium), the hotel is lovely for a city hotel in a busy residential area. Rooms are quiet, well-appointed, and there are outside common spaces: a terrace, and an inner courtyard for breakfast. Breakfast is very good, lots of choices especially on the 'sweet' side. The lady at reception was very nice and suggested a great place in the area for dinner. Thanks :)

Hotel was lovely and staff welcoming and helpful. Very clean room and lovely garden and terraced areas. Good breakfast available with a very good range of fresh foods available although no cooked option.

Although tea and coffee facilities available in room there was no milk and not many tea bags. Although we got milk in a jug when asked for it but reception not manned overnight so couldn’t get any more for the morning. Also no spoons. Slightly out of the centre but that was ok for us.

We were just passing through and have stayed at this hotel before a couple of times. It lacks ‘kerb appeal’ at the front, but inside it is very comfortable with everything one needs. We paid extra for a secure parking space in their private car park and as a bonus, the car was in the shade!! Excellent buffet breakfast. Easy walk into ‘centro storico’, where there are plenty of eating places.

Some inconsiderate and noisy other guests. A notice to ask customers to consider other guests and behave quietly would be helpful.

Location a bit far from the city centre; but a good walk. Breakfast was varied in offerings. Front desk staff were lovely and so helpful. Large room and comfortable bed. Very quiet at night.

Breakfast service staff worked hard, as there were many guests to support during the morning meal. At times, felt as though we were bothering the staff when asking for coffee etc.

This hotel was a very good base for enjoying Padua. And it is a city to be really enjoyed-we have visited quite a few of the towns in this area but we thought Padua was really special. It's a bit of walk into the old town from the hotel but not too far and this is probably reflected in the reasonable price of the room. Padua has very good restaurants and a very pleasant early evening drink on the square scene. It has a real buzz during the morning and lunchtime-a wonderful market-one of the best I've ever been too. Lots of interesting buildings and the staggering Giotto Frescoes-don't miss them. Breakfast was excellent and it was warm enough to take it inn the garden. Front desk were friendly and you can walk to the hotel from the train station.

There is a takeaway opposite the hotel which was noisy one night-light sleepers might be best asking for a room not on the entrance side of the hotel. There is nobody on duty at the front desk at night.
