The size of the property was huge, the history of the building, the style, Hercules, ground floor and the staff were exceptional!! Breakfast was delicious. The gardens were beautiful. Change of towels and cleaning daily. Very quiet and peaceful and we could easily walk everywhere. The Scrovegni chapel was a 3 minute walk! Wonderful AC as it was hot outside.

I’m being picky here but an iron would have been useful though they offered to press and wash our clothes so it wasn’t an issue.

We enjoyed our space with two rooms right near the Scrovegni Chapel. It was also close to several restaurants that we enjoyed. But one thing for which I will always be grateful is that on the day of our departure, when the taxi did not arrive to take us the the train station as scheduled, the manager woke up and arrived to check on its arrival. There is no doubt that without her intervention, we would have missed our flight. I highly recommend Palazzo Mantua Benavides.

This is a very special place to stay. The room was actually a suite of three rooms - main room with huge, very comfortable bed, anteroom with desk and sofa, and dressing room with shower and toilet – all within a 16th-century palazzo. The main room looked out into the courtyard, which boasted a huge Renaissance statue of Hercules, and you could step straight out into the courtyard and take a turn in the garden at the back. The staff were exceedingly helpful, and the breakfast was delightful and plentiful, served in a quiet room on the floor above. Quiet and atmospheric, the guesthouse is also very conveniently located for a visit to the Scrovegni chapel while still being well placed for other attractions in the historical centre.

Very spacious rooms. A few rooms in the main building are period rooms. The others are recently built and tasteful with kitchenette. Very quiet and peaceful at night thanks to the beautiful courtyard and pedestrian old city center. Exceptional breakfast and superbly courteous and helpful staff.

Everything was perfect. I would have liked to know that our room was recently built rather than a period room.

The palazzo has a rich history and is beautifully decorated. A huge, impressive statue of Hercules (at least I think it is Hercules) dominates the courtyard. The owners and staff were kind and helpful and did their best to see that I was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious—the food was very high quality and best of all, the baked goods were homemade. The location is convenient to both the city and the train station. I would stay here again.

I booked here because from the photo, I thought I would be staying on ground level. It turned out that my room was three stories up. For some reason, I had a very hard time finding my way to my room (I usually have a very good sense of direction) and the code pad for entry was in the shadows, so I did not see it. Interior signage would be very helpful—other businesses were marked. Most frustrating the first day was the shower in my room. Water from the sink backed up into the shower and I was standing in this when I showered. This was not at all pleasant. I reported the problem and there was nothing that would be done that night. However, my room was changed the next day, thanks to a cancellation—and I had absolutely no problem with the second room.

beautiful building - very nice garden - spacious and beautiful rooms - the big statue in the garden was just WOW perfectly located - staff is nice and friendly, but not always available in the reception. I asked for a taxi, the guy who checked me in told me he was gonna book it for me, and he forgot.

Our stay there was exceptional, the food, the location, the amenities, the atmosphere and not forgetting the staff were incredible went way beyond their responsibilities to assist and make us feel welcomed. A big Thank you to the team there all were amazing 👏

We had a nice suite opening into the the courtyard. We enjoyed setting there and in the garden. The hotel was a short walk from the train station and right in the central part of the city near the sites. Peaceful night of sleep on a comfortable bed.

Very quiet. At walking distance to sights, restaurants and shopping.

Roads around it all under reconstruction. Very difficult to get there. Best to park in parking at 5 minute walk.

Location was excellent. Loved the history. Room size was larger than expected. Bed was very comfortable.

Need blind over bathroom window as the apartments across look into the shower. We hung a towel which worked.
