This is my favorite hotel in my Nordic trip. The staff are very patient and enthusiastic. The hotel is very clean and tidy, and the toilet has no strange smell at all. The kitchen is very clean and fully equipped. There is free hot food or coffee to drink every day. The location is very good. It is next to the high school, and the scenery is very good. It's just that the weather is not very good in the days when I came, but Tromso is worth it. I highly recommend this hotel.

I booked this hotel as it was the cheapest option in an expensive city so wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. I had the most gorgeous top floor room (no.42) with amazing view. It was quiet,clean, cosy and beautifully warm. I slept so well. I appeared to have the top floor to myself therefore had toilet,bathroom and lounge area to myself too. Ideally located for less than 10 mins walk to town and main attractions. Needed my snow spikes to get up the hill to the hotel though! Great to have a kitchen to self cater as restaurants are very expensive. Free hot drinks was much appreciated too. One of the lights was broken in the bathroom and when I contacted staff they immediately came out to fix it. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and adored Tromso.

It was expensive for essentially an unstaffed hostel but in line with general Tromso prices. A kettle in the bedroom would have been welcomed. Maybe a light buffet breakfast could be provided one day.

The hotel is located just 5-7mins walk from downtown and right after you step out of the main gate, you're greeted with the best view in Tromso, with the majestic mountains in the background, the harbor, and the Tromso Cathedral and it's absolutely stunning! The rooms are clean, there's hot and cold water available 24 hours, there's a shared living space and kitchen and the hotel arranges tours as well in Tromso! Inside the room there's an information log with all the useful numbers listed including the taxi service and it was a life saver for me on the day of departure! The staffs are available either at the 'lobby' or anytime over phone. There are washrooms separate for men and women and this was a bliss! Overall, very pleasant stay.

It's a really good comfortable hostel about 15 minutes walking distance from the station and 5 minutes to the main street with all the shops. We were super lucky to be able to see the northern lights directly outside the hostel. We just randomly looked up and there it was! So happy with this hostel. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Not to mention, the free coffee and cocoa machine is also a plus!

The window on our first floor room overlooks the walking street so unless you close the blinds, people can look into the room. But this is a minor inconvenience. We are super pleased with this hostel.

The location is great. It is walking distance to the central Tromso, including the bus station, the boats for whale watching, museums, etc. The beds are great. The automated check in is also amazing 🤩 It's also thoughtful that you have your own sink in the room with shared bathroom. We didn't use the shared bathroom but I HOPE they have enough hooks and places to put down our toiletry bags and change clothes.

As we only stayed for one night, it was not an issue that the WC is so small. But yes, it's so tight that it would be a challenge to put on a tampoon. The WC on the whale watching boat is even bigger than Ami's WC on 1st floor. I will be booking an en suite room if I will travel with my period 😅

Beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the facilities were great. We were glad of the sink in the room. The location was excellent, only a 3-minute walk from our host family and a few minutes from restaurants.

As older people who need to get up at night, we would have liked to have a to0ilet in the room, but there were separate men/women facilities so it was okay. Breakfast would have been nice, but instead of that, a guide to the nearest grocery store is a good idea.

The location was great, though it was a bit of a climb up a slope from the bus station to the hotel. I loved the homely atmosphere of the accommodation. There was even a free coffee machine, which was a nice touch, especially since Tromsø is so cold. Having a hot chocolate on arrival or in the morning was amazing. I also appreciated the kitchen facilities, and the door code system was really convenient. They let me leave my luggage after checking out as well, everything was so homie and nice.

Since the building was quite old, the soundproofing wasn't the best. However, it didn’t bother me much because I was sleeping wearing earplugs.

It's perfect for a solo traveler. You have everything you need within your room, its cleaned everyday. the kitchen is also fully equipped, with a nice add of the free tea/coffee/hot chocolate option. Close to the city centre Very value for money. I will definitely recommend it

Just a small caveat that the toilet/shower room are shared among a few rooms. though I did not have any issue with it, I figure if you go on big group and the premise is full, it maybe a bit crowded.

This hotel is first rate accommodation for those travelers who wish to self-cater. The facilities were excellent with a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of dining space, free hot drinks and a free laundry all included within the very reasonable price. We found our ensuite room to be clean and comfortable and equipped with a fridge which was very useful.

Unfortunately the outside of the accommodation let's it down with items of rubbish dumped at the side of the building and weeds growing. It would take less than a day to make the outside area far more appealing.

Absolutely lovely place. I would put 11 points if could. The room was big and even had a sink and a fridge! Beds were comfy, had clean linen. Location is perfect: close to central street and public transport. There is well equipped kitchen and laundry! I will definetely stay here again next time!!

Only 2 toilets and 1 shower per floor could cause traffic jams during rush hours, but personally we never needed to wait. And guys! Nearly 99% hotels I stayed in lack hooks in shower. These cost nothing, but very needed to hang clothes or towel, especially if we have shared bathroom. Please add some hooks for clothes!
