We arrived on a Friday 13th and there were a few hitches - guests had been given the wrong rooms, meaning they had to be moved out of ours - but that was quickly sorted with a friendly smile and a free drink and fish & chips dinner. The staff and manager were all very friendly and helpful and soon enough organised everything as it should be. This is a nice old pub, with excellent cask ales, and was pretty lively in the evenings, with some chatter outside and singing (think sea shantys) that added to the charm. Our room - "Clipper" - had been freshly redecorated along with the bathroom. It was a large room, with two windows both with beautiful flowers outside, and an excellent fresh bathroom. The room was big enough for a small sofa, chair, stool, desk, and still plenty of floor space. The bed was new and comfortable with reading lights, plenty of plugs for devices, and there was a kettle and coffee machine. We've stayed in lots of old town centre pubs and you can expect liveliness in the evening but it all calmed down soon enough and we slept well. Very handy for visits to the harbour, parish church, the coast path, and the many branches of Rick Stein's culinary empire.

We struggled to get hot water in the shower. There's a knack to it, apparently. Eventually we found running the water hot in the basin first did the trick, but that was after at least one cold shower :)

In the heart of Padstow so appreciate this, there is noise of occasional traffic, people walking past, the pub below, seagulls, delivery vans reversing etc. This didn’t bother us but it may others, as we were only stopping over one night. The location is perfect for exploring the town. The team were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating and the room perfect for our needs, clean and well presented, comfy beds and a bonus dog friendly. We only drank in the pub, which is cosy, so can’t comment on the food, but what we saw coming out looked lovely. A great short stopover.

The corridor carpet that everyone else is commenting on just needs the flooring changed to something more suitable as it’s the main thoroughfare off the street to the rooms so is inevitably going to get a bit grubby, which is all it is. The carpets in the room are fine which shows people take shoes off. Honestly it didn’t detract from our stay so don’t let this be a deal breaker unless you’re fastidious!

Not my first time in Padstow but first time staying at The London Inn, very friendly and helpful staff, great location and fantastic price, the room was perfect and great breakfast available. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the center of Padstow then look no further and book The London Inn, when I go back to Padstow I will definitely be staying there again.

Everything, could not fault it one bit and I can be a bit fussy at times but nothing negative at all.

The room was spacious with loads of storage space, a hairdryer, ironing board and iron. The bed was really clean and comfortable. There was an extension cable so loads of sockets. The food was excellent, my husband had gammon and I had sausage and mash. The London Inn is right in the centre, close to everything

There were no teaspoons to make the tea and coffee in the room, we had to ask at the bar. Our bed was not made or tea and coffee replenished or bins emptied during our stay

Spotlessly clean in a great location just around the corner from the harbour. Staff were helpful. We had the family room which had a double bed in one room n bunk beds just around the corner. Really lovely room with thick curtains to block out the light. Beautiful old pub with great atmosphere . We only stayed one night.

We knew it was above the bar so we were expecting it to be a bit noisy which it was until about 11.30pm. We stayed midweek so by 12pm it was quiet luckily. It maybe far noisier at weekends in summer. It’s expensive £175 for one night without including breakfast ( we got it in Rick Steins cafe instead) but it’s very central. It’s ok for one night.

Lovely place. Location perfect. The bed was awesome. So comfy we didn't want to get out of it. Staff lovely . Room was pleasant. Clean and just right for our one night stop.

Only one tiny thing. Due to location of the room it might be worth putting a gauze blind at the window so there is a bit more privacy. The window to our room was directly facing the art gallery and was a little exposed . Really a preference and no other issues. Great room.

Loved location and welcome, Arun at bar very helpfull. Room very well appointed, nice coffee machine and toiletries. Had a great stay for two nights.

Can't really think of anything to complain about other than we both kept feeling we'd fall out of the bed because mattress didn't seem to have much edge support. Oh, and the bathroom was quite small consequently the sink was very small to wash in but for a two night stay it was fine.

The stay was fantastic and we will return ! The rooms have been refurbished to a high standard and are extremely comfortable. Excellent value for money! We were only supposed to stay one night , but packed and got to car and turned round and came back for another night ! Very central, staff excellent , really friendly . We had dinner one night and a breakfast which were fab. Overall I cannot fault this place

Great location. Evening meal in the pub was fantastic. Well presented, decorated and comfortable room. Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Brought ear plugs due to reviews commented noisy but didn’t need them but, I think it was the toilet cistern kept making a loud noise that woke us during the night. Also, I shared a bed with my daughter which woke us both up every time we both turned over in the night, very squeaky creaky!!

Being above a pub, in a central location, we expected noise during opening hours and at closing time. Unfortunately, our room was at the top of a staircase, and the echoing noise up from the entrance corridor of fire doors slamming, other guests coming and going through the night, staff leaving and locking up, bins being emptied early in the morning. It wasn’t a great nights sleep which is such a shame. Not sure what can be done, perhaps an additional soft closing door at the bottom of the staircase to shield some of the noise? A lovely pub, lovely room, just a bad nights sleep due to echoey location of room. With no mini bar or room service available (as expected for an inn), bottled water should be provided - very minimal cost
