This is a fantastic place to stay!! The rooms are super clean, nice and spacious!!! The beds are adjustable and very comfortable!!!! We stay in the area alot and we always choose Bar-Mel for lodging!!! The owner is amazing, so nice and sweet!!!! Highly recommend this motel!!!! You will be very pleased!!!

The rooms were exceptionally clean the bed was so comfortable and adjustable. The owners were incredibly nice. They went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. By far the best hotel experience that my wife and I have ever had.

Nice, quiet out of the way place. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. The owner is a sweet old man. This will be a place to stop when i travel. Prices are good also.

Nothing really disappointing to report.

Stayed here over one of the weekends Graves Mountain was open for digging and had a Rock Swap that my girlfriend sold some stuff at. Place was perfect for our needs. Inexpensive, good beds (who would expect to see adjustable beds in a little roadside motel straight out of the 60's?) and quiet. Gentleman who owns/runs the place is super nice and accommodating. TV has tons of channels, totally didn't expect to see several Indian stations and ones from other countries available in rural South Carolina. Had a bit of a mix-up with the reservation (on his end he saw our party as 3 adults/4 children which would necessitate another room) but cleared it up over the phone the day before our arrival. He remembered my name and apologized for the mix-up when we checked in.

AC could have been a bit better, room was a bit stuffy still but we managed. We had a fan with us for the booth, worked well to help push the cool air around the room. TV glitched out a bit here and there, motel was full up for most of our stay. I'm sure the internet connection for the TV was the culprit. Annoying at times, but not a deal breaker.

A lot of hard work has been put in to this place over the past year or so and it shows. Room was clean, property was quiet and peaceful. Owner personally inspected the room with me upon check-in to make sure everything was in order and again upon check-out. This isn't a 5 star motel, nor was it meant to be, but for those of us who have known this place over the years, it is in the best condition that I can ever remember.

Wifi signal was very weak and kept disconnecting. I would recommend investing in a higher speed service or at least a stronger router as well as a few wifi range extenders placed around the property. This investment of a few hundred dollars would go a long way in terms of customer satisfaction.

Great place to stay. It's clean and most of all the beds are perfect!

A little dated but I know they are working on that as there is a new owner and management.

Refrigerator was dirty. There were no hand towels.

Great location, near everything you might need (gas, food, even an ice machine).

Vending machines would have been nice.

No breakfast. No maid service. Owner was very nice and took care of everything.

Everything was amazing!!! We headed back today for another get a way!!! Do some fishing and enjoy our weekend and stay at bar mel inn!!!!
