We stayed at Hotel Peter for six days with our medium-sized Goldendoodle and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming—“friendly” doesn’t quite do them justice. They were warm, witty, and engaging, and our conversations often went far beyond the usual small talk. The restaurant team was equally impressive, going out of their way to make both us and our dog feel truly at home. The food was outstanding—especially the tomato soup, schnitzel, and beef stew, which brought a refined touch to traditional Austrian dishes. The cocktails (Aperol Sour and Negroni in particular) were exceptional as well. The sparkling rose at the breakfast is not to be missed, I am taking 6 bottles back to London with me ! We genuinely couldn’t recommend this place more. It’s the kind of hotel that makes you feel like you’re visiting old friends—only with better food and a killer view.

The view from every room is incredible and the balcony has been wonderful to use in the evenings. Breakfast is exceptional. A wonderful range of breads, pastries, cereals, their board of hams and cheeses as well as special breakfast options( today for example the boys enjoyed pancakes, my husband enjoyed eggs with Speck and I had Smoked salmon). The staff have been very understanding with our children and we have felt very welcome. Additionally, the restaurant in the evening has been a joy to eat in.

Nothing - the staff work so hard to make sure you have a wonderful time. We will always look back on Hotel Peter with the fondest memories.

Beautiful hotel with car park. Welcoming and friendly receptionist. Given an upgrade to a suite for no extra charge. Great customer service. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. So much choice and a delicious breakfast platter each morning. Breakfast staff looked after us so well. Always checking if everything was ok and did we need anything else. The meal in the restaurant was first class. Presentation and service fantastic. Compliments to the chef. Lovely terrace with great view, pity it rained for our stay. The hotel is highly recommended and the staff are a credit to the establishment.

We've been fortunate to travel much of Europe, and the lake/mountain view from our Superior Suite was among the best we've ever had. The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, spacious (we had a full walk-in closet), thoughtfully yet modestly appointed and nicely laid out - it's always a bonus to have an enclosed toilet separate from the sinks and shower area. It was also an excellent value. I can't think of anyplace else we've stayed with this combination of "pros" for such a reasonable price.

Hotel Peter was in an excellent location, just a short walk from the main town center. Parking is available, which is a great convenience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the complimentary drink upon arrival—it was a nice touch. The lake view from my balcony was absolutely stunning. I truly wish I had more time to spend both at the hotel and exploring the charming town of St. Wolfgang. The breakfast was average, buffet style and a set menu combined but the beautiful view from the breakfast room more than made up for it. I will definitely stay here again if I have the chance to come back.

It was a great stay.the staff always welcoming with a smile.lovely room (we got upgraded to junior suite but the double room are also with good size)nice furniture and amazing views of the lake. For breakfast you get a daily plate with cheese meat and some more goods. You can also order eggs and other daily specials along with tea or coffee. Also a little buffet with drinks granolas breads cake and fruits and vegetables so you can make your fresh juice if you want. . The location in the center of the town with private parking.

Great property, really enjoyed our stay there. The front desk attendant got us a complimentary upgrade to a wonderful, spacious suite, overlooking the lake. The breakfast was delicious and very generous with many options and fresh organic local produce. The dinners were also amazing, restaurant had views from indoor or outdoor patio. We rented bikes next door and went all the way around the lake with many stops for pictures, swim or refreshments. Took the ferry right back to the hotel with our bikes, watched the sunset sipping some cocktails. This hotel is very convenient to many attractions and I would love to return again in the future.

The location is great! Need the city centre, 2mins walking to the town centre and lake side. The view is great! And the interior is very aesthetic. The hotel offers slippers which is good.

No AC because it’s a historic building. But there’s floor heating in the bathroom and the window is wind-shield so it’s ok. The cleaning could be better: I found some hair tangled on the shower tube.

A simply wonderful last few days of our holiday were spent at Hotel Peter... we had a lovely big room with a balcony looking out onto the lake and as usual not enough pillows for me so I asked for extra and they were delivered almost immediately. Lovely shower and separate toilet... not particularly modern but everything worked well. Breakfast was probably the best i've experienced.. there was not only lots of lovely breads, granola and fruit but so many extras that are appreciated like flaxseed, fresh honeycomb, fruit and veg that you can juice yourself in the big industrial juicer... wonderful coffee and then daily specials the staff bring to the table.. I could go on but this hotel really made our stay at St Wolfgang more special... its so peaceful, relaxing and chilled... you could spend 2 hours at breakfast if you wanted just eating and looking at the lake.. the restaurant was also very good and we enjoyed a relaxing evening watching the rain from the benches that look out to the lake.... we will be back!!

Just one very small problem with hot drinks in the room.. there was a kettle but hardly any drinks so I had to ask for some tea bags and I got a selection of English Breakfast, Peppermint and Camomile....some hotels in Austria don't have anything at all..... no coffee available at all either but the amazing coffee at breakfast made up for it :)

I like the friendly staff, especially the front desk, Grogery I think his name, and the other lade, were so friendly and kind. For all the staff, thank you.

The breakfast didn't have much options to be honest. The only problem with our suite is the balcony next to our balcony as there were people gathering and lots of noisy came out. We didn't sit outside much. Overall, it's a place worth visiting honestly.
