Breakfast was freshly prepared according to what one wished. Instant coffee and tea were included but other coffees needed to be purchased separately. The rooms were large and clean with good lighting, a safe, nice bathroom and plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable and had decent pillows. Sheets and towels were fresh and clean. There is a desk for working. All the staff were lovely throughout and the central location of the hotel cannot be beaten. Special commendation to Shadreck, Nyasha, Brandon, and Agatha - as well as the restaurant staff. Pick up from the airport was arranged and excellent. Abisha and Ian were both efficient, kind and friendly.

I wish the restaurant were open also in the evening so that one does not have to walk on the road to find a place to eat. I wish reception was set up to change money from other hard currencies to USD that they seem to use throughout Harare.

Security should not move away from the gate at night because sometimes it took time for the receptionist to respond to the intercom calls at the gate, Security should not wander around during work at night at one point around 10pm I was stuck by the gate and for 30 minutes and no response from the receptionist and Security was nowhere to be seen, that was on Fri the 10th and I was rescued by the taxi driver who spotted me after a while sitting in his car, this shouldn't happen as it puts guests in danger of mugged by thieves, they waiting outside

Breakfast was not included but I was not expecting breakfast. Location was good in terms of stores and fast food shops which was approximately 5 mins. walk. Transportation - taxi was easily assessable and the bonus was the airport was about 10-15mins drive.

Nowhere to sit outside if you wanted to sit down and relax, apart from staying in your apartment. Although this is minor, could have done with a slightly medium size kettle instead of the one that was provided. It allows you to only make one cup of hot drink a time.

So clean and modern. Good choice of satellite TV channels and a comfortable bed. The shower was hot, and a kettle, tea and coffee and water bottles were provided.

No option to purchase any pre-packaged food like potato chips or biscuits or soft drinks. But a petrol station that has a shop attached is next door, but it's inconvenient. Selling a few food items at reception would be great!

In a great central location in downtown Harare, the NI chain of hotels offers excellent value. (the Samora Machel designation refers to the avenue on which this one is located, to distinguish it from a second N1 hotel in Harare.) Breakfast was basic but provided exactly what I needed, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is actually amazing that such a nice hotel is able to exist in a country with so many economic challenges.

I stayed here for four nights and found nothing to complain about. On the contrary ...

Very nice location near the city center, easy walk there. From the higher floor rooms nice view over the surrounding areas. N1 chain seems to be a very good chain of hotels. Safety box very good. Value for money. Very friendly staff.

Although some people say there's cockroaches, I didn't see any in my room, neither any other pests. The room was nice large, but a bit empty, some more furniture would make the room even more comfy. The room interior was grey. With the next renovation, you could add some color in the rooms and maybe some decorative items here and there to show, in which country we are. Some noise from the street, but is understandable this close to the center. No problem with that. The other N1 chain hotel on the same long street is named Rotten Row... Although it describes the street location, I would change the name immediately, gives a VERY BAD first impression with such a name, turns people away outright!!

Pleasantry surprised on location and how it looked from outside until I got in and it was a completely different ball game in a very good way. Your suites, The modern decor and furnishes, the breakfast bar/eating place was a nice touch ☺️ Staff are all super friendly and down to earth so thank you for all your hospitality

That there is no balcony to have a cigarette.

The staff are so kind and helpful, I asked for a fridge and they changed my room immediatley. The most amazing thing I liked about the hotel, the guys do daily cleaning. Bravo for the Houskeeping team, 5 start for them to be honest, and they deserve more from the management.

The rooms were really clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good value for money. The wifi was very reliable. The only thing was I had a room facing the street side which meant that at night it was quite loud. Otherwise if you've got earplugs or are not a light sleeper then this is a good spot.

The hotel was located in the center of the city , close to government buildings and the area was very safe.Beyond that, it had security 24/7. The room was spacious, it was quiet and we had very good connection to the internet. It is close to National Gallery and we liked a lot the café in it. The staff was friendly and professional.
