Really great, proper pub with fab atmosphere and food. Super cool friendly staff and great, new, tastefully decorated room with lovely shower & all facilities including a big TV and very good quality mattress and bedding. Beats the large chain Hotels we normally use when visiting family hands down! Will be returning for sure.

Staff were very friendly no sooner had I walked in and the young man at the bar booked us in showed us to the roon and shower toilet etc told us about 20% discount in food if we ate thete and if we needed anything he was at the bar excellent service manager should be proud to have him there very welcoming

I thought it was three single beds I ordered but had a double and a single but was fine wasn't an issue really some bits iof the room wasn't very clean lot of dust around the TV and dead bug on TV screen other than that had a very comfortable stay and would recommend

The room was absolutely lovely! Really comfy bed, bathroom facilities were great with everything you’d need i.e. towels and shower gel/shampoo, complimentary water and tea/coffee was really lovely and the smart tv with streaming services is a nice touch. Everything was clean and to a great standard. Location is perfect as you’re only minutes away from the train and bus stations.

The only thing I could say is the checkout time could do with being a smidge later as 10am is quite early but that’s only because I like my sleep!

Everything. The food is fantastic, the room is comfortable. The staff are great. The bar is friendly and has a wide selection of drinks - highly recommend the Inches Cider. The Ship is easily accessible from the railway and bus station. It is also a very short walk into the centre of town.

I liked everything about the place but must point out that as it is an old building, access might be difficult for those with mobility issues.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The pub itself has a wide variety of beers, ciders and spirits. Food is excellent with generous portions. Close to the railway station and the centre of town (5 minutes walking time)

I have the memory of a goldfish so the maze I had to negotiate to get to my room totally defeated me. I tried leaving a trail of popcorn every time I left my room but their amazing staff had already cleaned up after me before I attempted to go to bed at night 😆

The evening menu was excellent and the choice of ciders good. The staff were very friendly. The room was quiet and a good size. 10 minutes' walk to the Cathedral and centre of town. A very good coffee machine in the room with good coffee "pods" plentifully provided -- a real luxury.

Only public parking and the parking choices were difficult as to hours and length of stay allowed. Having to climb up and down several sets of stairs to reach the room.

Staff were helpful, and the pub below the accommodation was lovely, the food was very good and received discount in the pub for staying in the accommodation

parking very confusing ended up having to move the car three times, but the charging was nothing to do with the pub and the same system seemed to be in place across the area.

Had food in the pub on the first evening and it was lovely. Staff were very helpful throughout the stay. It was very quiet in my room which was great. Room is small but it was only to sleep there for me during a business trip. Only thing was duvets was small but probably because I’m used to being in a king size bed and cover.

Clean and modern. Huge smart tv, complimentary tea, coffee and bottled water in the room. Big comfy bed with lovely plump pillows. Waterfall shower. The pub downstairs is cosy and inviting. We checked in too late for food but the menu looked great. Lots of choice and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location for the town centre, only a few minutes walk.

No breakfasts available unfortunately. Room warm, clean and comfortable, as was the bed. Liked the coffee maker provided! Parking overnight at the nearby Townfield multi-storey was very reasonably priced.

Some noise from the bar beneath No 6, but it did not go on too late. Lots of stairs up and down to reach room, but not a problem for us.
