Ben our host was absolutely amazing. Service was efficient, extremely friendly and made sure that we were comfortable at all times. There was a small mixup with my English Breakfast that I had ordered where I had asked for fried eggs but received poached, but Ben came over very quickly and corrected it for us, even letting us keep the poached eggs afterwards. Room was great and well stocked, facilities were charming.

It seemed that whenever someone had used water in the room (either the toilet or the shower), there would be a loud vibrating noise - possibly from a water pump. This was not so much of an issue, as we didn't really hear it during the night when it was time to sleep. Also with the pillows, it felt like there were a lot of feathers poking through the pillow case, but not a deal breaker.

The room was lovely. Plenty of space. Tea and coffee supplies aplenty. Bathroom was small but the shower was very good. Breakfast menu was varied and something for everyone. Food was very nice. We had 2 mornings in the conservatory looking out to the garden a d one in the dining room. Plenty of parking.

My only quirk was the bedding. It had pillow and duvet filled with duck/goose down. Personally I don't like. I don't like feathers poking through and also plays my asthma up. All only personal thoughts.

Everything was fantastic customer service kind considerate staff made me feel very welcome and comfortable nothing was too much trouble superb cheese board I’ll be dreaming about it best I’ve ever had very high quality food fabulous rooms clean roomy and good facilities it’s in a countryside setting so very peaceful but not far from Lots of amenities an oasis I’ll be back

Nothing it was fantastic

My absolute favourite thing about the place is the location and the building itself. It feels like you walked inside an episode of the Crown. It's beautiful and so is the staff working there, extremely polite. I met the owner Christina, who I had chance to exchange some words, and she was so down to earth, kind and absolutely made me want to come back. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED

Considering we arrived in the dark and checked in at 17.30, leaving at 9.00 the next day the first impressions were great. And that is all they can be. However, the next time I am in the area I will definitely give it another try. It looks like a lovely place to spend some time. My mum was impressed, and she is a pain in the derrière!

The fact that there was a surcharge for single occupancy. Also, there was no disabled access, although this is an old building so difficult to achieve. My mum has limited mobility, and whilst she managed the stairs, she wouldn’t want to do it too many times.

What a wonderful hotel in beautiful surroundings….my husband and I stayed for one night and everything you would need for a comfortable stay had been provided for. The hotel and all its rooms have been elegantly decorated and there is an air of tranquility throughout. The staff are most helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again, Thankyou

I wished we hadn’t had such a big lunchtime meal because I’d have booked an evening meal for us, the menu looked very tempting!

Top quality property, highly recommended, you get what you pay for. Comfortable beds and room in general, we were on the B&B rate and really enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were excellent and communications pre arrival and once we were at the property were impressive.

Size of the room was fantastic, very clean and an awesome breakfast. I'd like to try the restaurant for dinner if I stay again with family.

Location is a bit out of the way, but the facility had a great bar that operated an honesty policy after 7am

The rooms were beautifully furnished and wonderfully laid out with plenty of plugs for hair dryers/chargers etc, mirrors positioned in the right places, seating and a really comfy bed. Breakfast was fab and the outside seating area was so inviting and well kept. Our little dog was so well looked after and made to feel really welcome. The staff were really friendly and helpful with every little request.

The building and grounds are just outstanding, love and attention in abundance. The food is first class. The owners and staff are brilliant. The owners commmunicated with us as soon as the booking was made even going that extra mile and offering to prepare us some food knowing that we had a long journey and would arrive outside of meal times. I will definitely ask to stay again if we visit the area.
