A great value for money accommodation without compromising on comfort and quality, stayed here for a families Birthday weekend with my wife and 14 year old son, the room was good clean and had TV Internet and a good fan with the hot weather, the beds was very comfortable and good linen, towels was also provided with a ensuite bathroom with both bath and shower, I msged the owners before about possible earlier check in and they was very accommodating, will definitely stay here again,

Can't really fault them good clean and value for money accommodation, if anyone older with mobility issues was looking to stay here I would ask for a first floor room as its on 3 floors, but thats not a negative

I can't fault this place. Clean, comfortable, well decorated, has everything you need, including plates and cutlery if you take your own snacks, and plenty of tea and coffee. Easy late check in and esrly check out. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

My only tiny gripe (and it is tiny) is that I was woken by people coming in very late, as my room was next to the wooden staircase and they were like elephants. A carpet runner would help 🙂

We had an outstanding stay. The staff were so friendly, the beds were extremely comfortable and the adjoining restaurant is beyond superb. One of the best steaks I've ever had followed by an amazing breakfast the following morning. Myself and my partner will be making this a regular home away from home I think!

If I had to find a criticism...The shower head was placed so that you had to hold the shower over you rather than being able to stand under it. It made showering rather awkward.

It was a lovely place, very clean and in a lovely location. Impressed with the fact that the TV had Netflix etc

Couldn't use the hair dryer properly as the cord was to short, there was a menu in the room showing you could have breakfast at the adjoining restaurant but it was closed in the morning. I didnt see any staff, my key was left on the reception desk.

Very nice clean quiet room. For the price very nice comfy room, very good bed, had a nice sleep. Nice clean specious bathroom, disappointingly not attached, floor down.

Only thing the bathroom, not attached to the room further one floor down. But the bathroom was only private and very nice and clean. If the the bathroom was attached I would have given 10/10

The area was fine, set quite handily inbetween our place of work and our following port of call the following day. Excellent price and for such a lovely room also. The owner was easy to get hold of and quick to reply, wonderful service. Especially when we were working til the early hours the following day!

Could've been cleaned a little better

Room perfect for what we needed for the night as visiting friends and family. Room smaller than expected but didn’t matter as we were only there to sleep.

Described as being in Hockley but was more Hullbridge. Had planned to walk from friend’s house in Hockley but this was not possible as further away than expected and no footpaths

They absolutely saved our lives, as our first booking fell through. We came across this and we were so pleased. The customer service was amazing, ensured we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean, the bed was super comfy with private bathrooms in every room.

I can’t fault the place

Fantastic little place to stay as was working nearby for work. Super clean, very very comfy bed and good shower. Would highly recommend if you are staying in the area.

The wifi in the upstairs rooms was a little slow, but 4g signal was good nearby so not a huge issue.

Very clean and tidy room. Breakfast was great value for money, and delicious. Overall, a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend. Staff were very friendly

The doors slam quite loudly, which is quite annoying when trying to sleep, and the blinds in the room didn't really block out the sun
