Staff allocated room 207 for us which was already occupied. WhenI tried to enter the room, I saw a woman who was half naked surprised as to why we have access to her room! I apologised and luckily the chain in the door was latched. We went downstairs to report the incident, lady in reception apologised but did not seem too bothered about what happened. We felt embarrassed for the guest

We stay 3 or 4 times per year in Southend. so have had some interesting experiances?? this wasnt oner of them, was a tads hesitant after one review on here but my experiance. it was A1. A great room, brilliant room cleaning and attention to detail, they take great care, all staff being attentive, wilst not intrusive. Food was exceptional, good quality well presented and hot on hot plate, cold on cold, sorry its a simple thing, but so many get it wrong, would recomend to others and definately stay again. - another little touch being jug of hot milk with pot tea when drinking outside (in mid october), as i say little things make the greater experiance House keeping was great. exactly how it should be, ie un noticed, came and went without full, always knocking before trying to enter. but doots have chains to stop unwanted entry anyways. we always felt safe, which is a massive plus point.

i wish they would do an inclusive breakfast tarrif, on booking, but wholey understand why they - and others dont... so its not a negative. more a site issue

The location of the hotel is walking distance from Southend Central Station. Our stay at The Seven Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive team, creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout our visit. The restaurant was outstanding—our compliments to the chef! The food was top-class, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. We ordered breakfast to our room, it was delicious! And served hot. The bar staff also deserve a special mention for crafting some of the most amazing cocktails we’ve ever had. The rooms were spotless, with impeccable cleanliness and attention to detail, making our stay incredibly comfortable. Every member of the team seemed genuinely happy, adding to the hotel’s warm and inviting ambiance. Overall, the Seven Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. A perfect blend of luxury, service, and atmosphere—we can’t wait to return!

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like

The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean and well decorated with modern amenities. The location is beautiful up on the hill with sweeping views across the water, the pier etc. Walking distance to town and down to the water. Loved that there was parking on site which was easy to access and no extra cost.

Unfortunately my particular room didn't have a good view, so it wasn't pleasant to look out. Having said that I was only there for one night and it didn't have a great impact on me. Wouldn't have wanted to be in the room for several days though. The lighting in the room was also poor and very dim. I wanted to read at one point and it was difficult with the lighting.

It was very homely, the staff was so SO lovely especially the kind blonde receptionist who checked us in, she was a blessing. The food was more than exceptional and a great value for money, good portions and wasn't bland at all. The space was very clean and we were offered an absolutely amazing and flavourful range of teas, coffees and hot chocolates that were restocked every day. Overall an amazing hotel and would definitely come here again!

Not really an issue just a disturbance, the remotes sensitivity was quite poor. It took about 10 minutes to get to our goal of channel. However the massive range of streaming services, movies and channels more than made up for it.

The Service was truly brilliant. Restaurant superb both for dinner and Breakfast. I had a beautiful room overlooking the bay it was clean, bedding soft and comfortable, bathroom spacious. It was quite warm in there but thankfully had the option of air condittioning. Because i was travelling for work and had business meetings in eve, I diddnt get the chance to check out other facilities or even take a walk which i would of loved too. As i will be working there in future, I will definetly continue to use this hotel for future bookings.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I was very happy with the service we received and the staff were very polite, friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms were very clean and tidy and cleaned daily. The food served in the restaurant was exceptional and really tasty and the cocktails at the bar were great.

The one issue I had was many channels on the TV in the room had no signal and limited channels to watch. The TVs in the room should have all the freeview channels available.

One of the staff, Fazal, was really good. It was my son's 12th birthday, and he is on the autism spectrum. They got him a chocolate cake as requested with a message on the plate. Fazal kept checking on him to ascertain my son was comfortable and enjoyed his breakfast. The breakfast was delish and worth it. We really had a good stay and would be back again.

The cleaners didn't top up on the tea shop on our second day. That was rectified when I spoke to reception. Aside from that, all good.

Very clean and modern hotel. The room was a good size for one person and even 2. Had a mini fridge, iron and board which was excellent. Not far from the beach, town centre and amusement park. I was able to check in earlier which was good as left previous hotel at 12pm. Bar and reception reception staff fully attentive 10/10.

Was when I came back to the hotel I was approached by a tall Asian man who asked me can he help me, (as to say what you doing here?)I clearly I had the card key in my hands ready to use. He didn't ask the lady in front of me if she needed help. But I will return to hotel as I will not let this person spoil it for me, I'm a paying customer and should be treated as such.

Nice hotel and the staff were very friendly, we had a side facing room which overlooked the kitchen and buildings next door but I didn’t specify which room so my fault. There was a safe, iron and fridge in the room which was a nice touch although the room was on the small side. We had breakfast the following morning which I thought was included only to find out £50 later it wasn’t 🤦🏻‍♂️
