Room/ Staff/ Breakfast/Dinner. The room exceeded expectations, and the Staff were very Resident friendly. The Hotel seemed very much in demand, as there were various parties happening during our stay, involving people from the local community. The Staff even gave a rendition of Happy Birthday, on two occasions, Breakfast was greatly appreciated, with my Bacon burger involving what appeared to be most of a pig !!!, Dinner was extremely well presented, with Karen's Salmon fillet not on the Menu, but on request, staff, and Chef were happy to oblige. The bed was huge, and so very comfortable.

Staff were so helpful even though there were several weddings/funerals taking place they did not neglect their residents. Hotel is right on the sea front which is a great location and I am sure is lovely during the Summer months. Excellent shower in the room and the room was very clean. Grateful for put up bed for my Granddaughter and a single bed for myself and my daughter. Evening dinner was well presented. Breakfast was a good choice and nothing was too much trouble.

Hotel was little tired in places. Food in the bar area could have been a little ‘simpler’ for lunch/dinner. Overall the price we paid for a sea view/balcony was definitely West End Prices for a seaside town. Food could have been a little hotter but I understand with so many residents to cater for this can sometimes be a big ask!!

Sea view and balcony area. Extra large executive comfortable bed. A good relaxing sleep and stay. No noise at all. Very spacious. Lovely bright room. Use of a fridge. Complimentary drinks in the fridge were welcoming. Lovely shower. Lovely breakfast. Friendly staff nothing was too much trouble. Room service.

There is never enough tea, coffee, milk and sugar available in the room. No instructions on how to use the coffee machine. Not enough car parking facilities when catering for weddings. Quite a distance from the hotel to the main facilities and pier. High hotel price.

Staying at the Roslin Beach Hotel was an absolute joy. When we booked our trip to the UK last November we wanted a hotel that was close to our daughter & son-in-law. It is a small boutique hotel (62 rooms) situated in a lovely neighborhood. Since we don’t travel often, we like to treat ourselves when we do & the Roslin did not disappoint. We decided to book an ‘executive king with sea view & balcony’ for April & our daughter laughed since the weather in April is usually quite cool & rainy. Well, Mother Nature was on our side and for 10 glorious days & nights we were treated to sunshine & warm temperatures. We used that balcony every morning & evening and the view of the sea was spectacular. The room was large & beautifully decorated with a sitting area, desk & large screen TV. The spacious bathroom had both a Victorian clawfoot tub and a large shower with a rainfall shower head. Other amenities included a blow dryer, iron & ironing board, safe, mini bar, robes & slippers and a coffee maker & kettle with a selection of coffees, teas & biscuits. At the time of booking we decided to get a full breakfast included and we were so glad we did. The breakfast room was sunny & inviting and the food was always fresh and delicious. Our favourite dish was the waffles wth fresh fruit & cream but there was a large selection to choose from & the continental breakfast (included for all guests) had a large selection of pastries & fresh orange juice as well. Lea always greeted us with a warm & friendly smile and also was kind enough to arrange for us to get our breakfast early the last morning as we needed to get to the airport early(Gatwick) which was several hours away. All the servers & staff especially Zamira (Xamira?) & Mihayla (Mihaila?)(sorry if I’ve misspelled your names) were friendly & attentive and always made sure to find us the perfect table by a window.

I have lived in Southend a lot of my life and have often driven or walked past the Rosilin . My husband and I booked to celebrate our ruby wedding. We loved the room and I chose the executive suite with balcony . It was lovely waking up to sea view and having breakfast in our room extra special. We were touched by the little things like the note in our room congratulating us , plus petals on the bed and the complimentary Bellinis we were given with our breakfast . The room is immaculate and tastefully decorated with a lovely seating area looking out over the balcony and sea .

Lovely hotel: the rooms were spacious and clean, we stayed in the Estuary which had a small balcony and side sea view, the room was spacious and clean. The Staff at The Roslin are friendly and attentive and there’s plenty of them; you don’t feel neglected, they are always on hand if you need anything. This is a beautiful hotel looking out to Thames Estuary. We also used the Spa Retreat, Cary’s was lovely! The Customer Service in The Roslin is excellent which isn’t always the case in lots of Hotels these days. Would definitely recommend!

A little pricey.

The room was spacious with all the amenities you required. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and a good selection at breakfast. The hotel was very welcoming.

Parking. Arrived late evening and car park was full. It was a large car park but was full, mostly with people dining at the hotel. We had to park a 10 minute walk away. It may be good if there is an area for hotel residents or you could reserve a bay. In the Winter local roads have no parking restrictions but in the Summer restrictions are in place so would be difficult to find alternative parking.

We had a lovely luxurious stay. As we mentioned it was a special event on the booking form, the Roslin upgraded us to a luxury room for no charge. I particularly liked that a gramophone and records were provided in the room. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent.

There was no sense of a required dress code in any part of the dining area; vests, extensive tattoos and scruffy jeans proliferated; this rather detracted from the ambience and was completely out of keeping with the 5-star cuisine

The location, good parking, welcoming, accommodating staff throughout the hotel. Great breakfast, lovely meal in brasserie, comfortable bed in room with complimentary tea/ coffee, soft drinks, biscuits, toiletries.

Rude customer having a loud conversation on his phone in breakfast area, using foul language. Unacceptable, especially with children present. Felt maybe he could have been asked by staff to take his conversation elsewhere. Spoilt what was otherwise an excellent breakfast.

The staff were so kind, caring and professional. Finn (I hope this is correctly spelled) kindly took our suitcase to our room, the reception lady gave us some pastries and coffee as we had paid for two nights bed and breakfast but due to a family crisis we were only able to check in on the second day we had paid for. The lovely lady in the dining area kindly made us some lovely coffee and looked after us so well on the following morning when we were able to have the lovely breakfast. She was very professional and very caring.

The room was a small double but it was tiny, you had to walk sideways between the bed and the wall to get to the bathroom. In our opinion it was a single room. It was clean and the bed was comfortable but so small.
