Location, convenient for visiting my family on the island. Reasonable value for money. Comfortable mattress. Room was clean and was serviced each day. Nice bedding and towels. Very nice staff on reception and servicing rooms. Didn’t have breakfast as family looked after me.

Room on top floor was quite hot. No aircon but guess at the price can’t expect it ? Didn’t ask staff for a fan. They may have fans for guests? Bought my own for twenty quid in the High St as we needed a new one at home anyhow. No wifi in room only in the bar area. Bathroom window was jammed shut and extractor fan didn’t work so bathroom got bit steamy. Apparently there is subsidence which has jammed some windows shut.

Second visit to hotel (about a year apart). Staff are all very friendly. Hotel is situated a short walk from town. Food (breakfast & other) were both cooked perfectly. Room was a good size for a twin. Has everything needed & good amount of in room refreshments, so could have more than 1 cup of tea/coffee each, lovely handsoap and moisturiser and shampoo/body wash! Enough towels, mat, bath mat, water hot, heater in bathroom too, and radiator could be turned up or down easily. Had everything needed for the visit.

Room was nice, and clean. They serve lovely food, especially Angela's Steakhouse which is adjoined to The Oyster Fleet, the steak burger was delicious, and my husband had a steak which he thought was delicious also. The staff were very nice and friendly, which made our stay all the better.

Although the bed was a good bed, both my husband and I just didn't find it that comfortable, mattress was a bit too firm for our liking.

I actually come from the area so this hotel has always been a location for family functions when i was younger. Having moved away many years ago i was delighted to see its the same family value hotel, with great service and lovely food. The staff just make it and for the price you are charged I feel its good value for money. Again the staff are so helpful and welcoming I would highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the area.

Wifi in the rooms would be a help. As i have a dog I would have liked to bring him. Having said that this did not in anyway affect our stay

All the staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Most particularly the receptionist on duty on Saturday afternoon (15 March). The accommodation was spacious and clean and the bar was lively with helpful, friendly staff

No-one had thought to put on the radiators in the room before I arrived and it was absolutely freezing. Took a few hours to warm the room. I wasn't very happy having to climb into a bath in order to take a shower.

Good location. Handy for hospital appointment after trip. Room basic but fine for what we needed.

Food on Saturday night (when I was eating alone) wasn’t great and felt like I was ignored. Glass of wine with meal never turned up despite asking twice. One particular member of staff was particularly miserable and rude (and was the same on the Sunday). Decided not to eat in the restaurant on Sunday as a result.

Great food, good staff, and hotel is very near the town. The room we stayed in was ok, but could hear some noises on our first morning there, think it was a delivery, waking us up about 8.10am, very loud really but in a whole was satisfied.

Just hearing noises from I guess a delivery, may of been beers, which was just after 8am, having woken us up, but only that Friday morning.

Oyster fleet hotel is a fantastic hotel, with brilliant staff who are helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and they supply the basic necessities (towels, shampoo, shower gel, hand wash, toilet paper) there is also tea and coffee and a kettle. The location is perfect, easy walking access to the town centre and sea front if energetic or short drive. The pub serves delish food with a great variety and there is a take away option. Prices are reasonable and well worth the quality that is provided. Plenty of parking available.

A suggestion not a dislike - a small fridge in the rooms as we like cold coffees and kids like milkshakes but no option to keep them cold.

Warm and comfy when the weather was really cold outside. Parking good, nice toiletries. We stayed almost two weeks due to a family crisis but felt quite at home.

Tiny towels. Tiny TV, no hooks for dressing gowns, towels etc. Tiny tea cups… It would have been nice to have a discount for a long stay.

The person that greeted me on the check-in day, and then subsequently on the next morning was outstanding. Friendly and super-helpful. While we weren't at the hotel for long, she made the stay really good. The breakfast was well cooked and tasty, and the room was really neat and tidy. The check-in was super-smooth and I have no complaints
