The checkin staff were brilliant, bright bubbly and informative. Our room was a great size for 4 people, very uncluttered. Great breakfast with quality ingredients.

We were advised that there was a fan in every room, this wasn't the case. A member of staff kindly carried one in from the landing, but I know from another guest that they were struggling due to the heat in their room and had no fan. The internal alarm system did wake us up at 5.45am when someone set it off, we assumed it was a member of staff as it went off relatively quickly

The room was very clean and comfortable and had a selection of complementary toiletries and hot drink making facilities. Friendly staff and good breakfast.

The only difficulty was the staircase up to the rooms which doesn’t have a bannister all the way up which may be a problem for anyone who has mobility needs.

The help, support and service received from all of the staff was wonderful-exceptionally good.Kayleigh, Scarlett and owner Gaz(who gave us lifts to and from the local wedding venue) all went out of their way to help us,and were friendly and cheerful. Breakfast and the evening meal we had were all lovely.

Gaz needs to replace the Manchester United shirt in the lounge with one of local club Gillingham!!

Great little pub, lovely atmosphere within, serves food with a good varied menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful literally everyone was very polite and chatty from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was fantastic, one of the best breakfasts we have had when staying away. The room was clean and very nicely presented and a very good size, tea, coffee, water all supplied everything was thought of. We stayed for a wedding at cooling Castle barn and the landlord provided transfers for us to and from the venue which was a fantastic addition within the cost of the room. I feel we really got what we paid for with this stay and a bit more. The staff are a credit to the place as well and I genuinely mean this. We would certainly recommend.

Nothing we had a great time just wished we had time to stay another night or two.

Stayed for 2 nights, as we were going to a wedding. Lovely friendly staff, very welcoming. Home-made food, we had dinner and breakfast, very tasty and plenty of it. 😃. We even had a free shuttle to and from the wedding venue. 5☆. Would definitely recommend, even if its just popping in for the food. 😃 😋.

Only problem we could find, you needed to be at least 6ft tall to look in the mirror above the bathroom sink 🤔

Staff were helpful. Room really big and clean. Food choice great and very tasty breakfast. Getting a lift to and from Cooling Castle Barn was a huge bonus so thank you :) The sports day advertised for the next day sounded really fun and a great community idea. Also will be back to see the classic cars parked up around the green (an event organised by the pub once a month apparently)

Tiny niggle (which can’t be helped) but our room really smelled of chip fat as it was above the kitchen extractors.

The breakfast was amazing. All the staff I dealt with were incredibly helpful, friendly and nice especially as a woman on her own. The shuttle to the cooling barn was an added bonus as it’s difficult to get transport to and from the barn. Doing this is an added incentive to stay here. They don’t need to do this but do so because they know the difficulties in getting a taxi. Loved my stay here.

We Stayed at The Six Bells as we had a wedding g a Cooling Castle Barn and the wedding was in the church next to the pub. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and included shampoo, shower gel etc. Fabulous breakfast and the landlord even picked us up from the wedding with some other guests who were staying there. Very pretty village too. So all in all a very good stay.

Conveniently located for events at cooling castle. The staff are top notch. So friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Clean and comfortable rooms. We arrived on the third Thursday of the month which coincided with a classic car show and added to the atmosphere. Food also excellent.
