The staff at this hotel were outstanding from start to finish. Every member of staff we interacted with during our week-long stay were attentive, happy and eager to help. Nothing was too much trouble. My wife recently had a hip replacement and they allowed us to park in their staff car park to avoid the stairs. They held open doors and even helped us up with our luggage. The hotel was lovely and we have zero complaints..BUT the staff were unreal. Never stayed in another hotel with staff that amazing. Will be back, purely to see them. Well done St George- your staff are top notch!

I stayed at this hotel for a few nights and had a pleasant experience. The bed was very comfortable — I’d give the bed rating a solid 9/10. The room was clean and quiet, and I really appreciated the strong WiFi connection throughout my stay. My room view overlooked the city, which was nice to wake up to. Breakfast was included and had a good variety of fresh food. Cleanliness was excellent — both the room and shared spaces were spotless. In terms of value for money, I think the price matched the quality of service and comfort. The staff were always friendly and helpful, especially at the front desk. The location was perfect, close to restaurants, shops, and public transport. Overall, the room offered great comfort, and the facilities lounge were clean and well-maintained. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reliable and relaxing place to stay.

I recently stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a great overall experience. Bed rating: The bed was extremely comfortable — firm but not too hard, with clean, fresh linens. I’d give the bed a solid 9 out of 10. WiFi: The WiFi connection was strong throughout the property, including the room and common areas. Streaming and video calls worked without any lag. Room view: I had a room with a partial sea view, which was a pleasant surprise. The view definitely added to the overall experience. Breakfast: Breakfast was included and offered a decent variety — eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, and good coffee. Not gourmet, but definitely satisfying. Cleanliness: The room and all common areas were spotless. Housekeeping was consistent and thorough each day. Overall rating: 9/10 — I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for comfort, convenience, and good service.

I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and my given room. Strong smell of bleach as soon as I entered my room was an excellent sign, nice and tidy and had plenty of tea and coffees which is great for me! The location was ideal for visiting the local area and histories like the cathedral and the castle in rochester. Bus service right outside of the front of the hotel too. And to top it all off, when we wanted to come in and relax after our day, the Wi-Fi was speedy fast which allowed us to watch our shows on our tablet. Would definitely recommend a quick getaway.

All went well, reasonably priced ,good coffee (served all day to the general public). Luggage storage while I attended an appointment. ideal location for exploring historic Rochester and Chatham. The weather was a little chilly in the evening and the morning ,it would’ve been nice to have a small heater because probably the full central heating would’ve been too hot.

There is nothing much to make this accommodation better it’s so conveniently located with the Victoria Gardens and the River Medway for views. I would definitely stay again.

This modern hotel is in a great location, 5 or 7 minutes walk from the train station and a 7-10 minute walk from the city centre shops, pubs, restaurants, etc and few other historic attractions. However, given its location there was little outside noise to be heard. The lobby and the bar area was welcoming and spacious. The room and the bathroom had fairly standard furniture and fittings (although our room did have an additional single bed alongside the standard double), each was spotlessly clean whilst the above bath shower had plenty of water pressure. We didn't eat at the hotel during our stay so cannot comment on the food but those members of staff that we did meet were friendly and efficient. If staying in the location again we would certainly consider staying here again.

Check in was super easy, the Woman on reception was lovely and welcoming. Told us everything we needed to know. The reception area was lovely with music playing softly in the background. We ordered some drinks to take up to the room. There were a lot of people enjoying themselves at the reception bar- seemed like a nice atmosphere. The room was spotless, warm and comfy. We came back down to the bar to enjoy ourselves and we are glad we did. We had a wonderful evening. The breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day and unexpected. We found out on arrival that a complimentary breakfast was included. You could choose between a hot cooked breakfast and complimentary- it was a nice touch. I have stayed at a lot of hotels through work and I must say that the staff at the St George Hotel are remarkable. They make you feel welcome, and you end up leaving as though you are friends. They are an absolute credit to this hotel and for that reason, I will be back!

Good Location and easy to find. The car park in use was at the back of the hotel- but plenty of spaces. Everything you needed was in walking distance. They served evening meals which were delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast in the morning was free and made to order. You could have a cooked breakfast, or continental options are also available. There are plenty of places to eat nearby also- in walking distance too. The room had been recently refurbished and was clean and cosy. The staff here were amazing from start to finish; nothing was too much for them. Always smiling and happy to help. Will be back when the need arises.

It was a family oriented place as I saw some children playing with their parents and enjoying themselves. Happy family. The room was cosy enough. And their breakfast which unfortunately I cocouldn't tested it as I departed before breakfast been served is a good plus too. The staff were welcoming and friendly. There is TV in the room and working with multiple channels.

No internal telephone.? No sign of WiFi available in the room? The Stairs from their Car Park is the worst I have ever seen! I reckon it's more than 300 steps or feel like it and sharp. U may be out of breath before you reach ground floor in the main road to get access to the hotel, entrance. I will advice to drop all your passengers or luggage first before drive down their Car Park behind the hotel about 3 story building down the hill. If only you drive there otherwise the entrance is right in the main road on the ground floor.

Upon entering the hotel, you can see that the whole reception/ bar area has been completely decorated throughout. The room we were given on the third floor had also been refurbished too. It was lovely. It had a brand-new king-size bed, was freshly painted and had all new accessories. It was lovely and warm upon entering and gave us a comfortable stay. Was like a home away from home. The staff were amazing throughout- always with a smile on their faces. Had a few glasses of wine at the reception bar in the evening- it was a lovely atmosphere with music playing in the background all night. The breakfast in the morning was cooked to perfection and was a nice touch with it being free too. Have no complaints whatsoever and will stay again in the future.
