I booked a one night stay as i went to London to visit my brothers heart on the National Covid Memorial Wall , Gravesend was my home town up until early 1980's , so felt i wanted to stay there . The room was lovely , clean , warm , had plentiful of refreshments though i don't drink coffee , etc , but i was able to put my cold drinks into the fridge provided , i can't recall seeing a remote control for the television , but i use my Tablet for tv apps , you tube , so that didn't bother me , the bed was very comfortable .

Friendly reception arrival, the owner/manager showed me directly to where I would be staying and nothing was too much trouble, car parking was behind the premises and was covered via cctv and lighting which was lovely to see that the owner also has taken the added expense to make sure valuables (cars) are looked after also, it was quiet even though the railway track is behind it didn’t keep me awake during the night, liked that in the room there was a fridge,microwave, kettle, a fan for when warm, and a tv mounted on the wall, own toilet, sink and shower, tea & coffee was in the room on arrival, very pleasant. It’s budget friendly, it’s not the Ritz, but it’s clean & and affordable, Check out was very easy, a key box where you can deposit your keys on exit which is very handy for both parties. I would definitely stay again.

If you are looking for great value for money guest accommodation in North Kent, then look no further than the Shamrock Guest House in Gravesend. The collection of converted terrace houses presents rooms which are functional if not luxurious, my room had a very comfortable bed with a good duvet and pillows together with flat-screen television and excellent speedy Wi-Fi also located in the room was a microwave and refrigerator. For me, it would have been nice to have a chair to it in, my only disappointment with the room, as for the bathroom it was excellent, spotlessly clean with an amazing powerful shower. Located to the east of the town centre, which is within easy walking distance, the train station is also only a fifteen-minute walk away. Excellent accommodation provided at the right price, I highly recommend the Shamrock in Gravesend

This is a budget level and affordable hotel and was reasonably priced and the review is given in this context.. Good location for what I needed close enough to the town centre. Staff were extremely helpful as I was unwell and changed my room to a spare ground floor level room so I wouldn't need to negotiate any stairs.I liked the fact there was a microwave In the room and all the necessary cutlery and plates & bowls which came in handy for me. The room had a very good shower. The room was more than adequately sized.

My only comment would be door locks - simple keys - they are secure enough but maybe could be upgraded - but not at all a big issue - they still work and do the trick.

A great little pad for a stay near London or (as i was) working in Kent. The fridge in the room was a welcome addition. The room was clean and had been decorated relatively recently.

It was a little bit noisy throughout the night, but that isn't the fault of the host. Could have done with a bedside lamp.

The staff, the size of the room I got and the help i received regarding the heating in my room.

No room service, like cleaning (to empty the bin while we went out). Needed more towels and no flannels at all.

This budget accommodation is an excellent place to stay. The welcome was superb, nothing was too much trouble. The basic room was exceptionally clean and well maintained, the excellent television was a pleasure to watch and the wifi had a strong connection. The room had a microwave and cutlery to enable the heating of a meal which I appreciated The bed was comfy, the bathroom had a great shower.. I stayed at the back of the hotel which was quiet, some might have an issue with the nearby railway line and the property is located on main road. The property is within walking distance of the town centre, a bus stops nearby for connections to the railway station and Bluewater shopping centre

The lack of a chair to sit in was unwelcome

Very good location, we had a funeral the next day and it was two minutes from location, clean property also. Staff was super friendly. Was running late with traffic so phoned and the man was very kind and said not to worry and it’s all okay,

Good location for England coast path to Grain. Good facilities in room including microwave and fridge. Easy to check out early by leaving key in a secure box.

The tray in the room looked quite dirty although otherwise the room seemed clean.

Comfy, well heated accomodation with no fuss. I really like this place. You check out by putting your key in a box. Simple. Proper old fashioned keys which just work. No fuss, you just get everything you need. They also very kindly reorganised my booking when I couldn't go due to strikes.

The room was quite small but I actually liked this.
