Lovely pub location and excellent bar snacks. Restaurant busy and didn't plan for a meal just snacks as out in the evening. All very nice and great service.

The room was nice, we were in a super duper room apparently. Which is a couple of doors down from the pub, the room was spacious. The shower could have been more powerful and toiletries with more scent. The hairdryer wasn't great, no hot air. We went to Ostlers for breakfast which was ok, one order was incorrect but we ate it to avoid any delays. All in a nice breakfast. Room price is quite considering doesn't include breakfast. Set in a lovely setting though, beautiful views.

Clean friendly staff who helped us after we were delayed some 5 hours by traffic. shower and bathroom were super, tea coffee and bottled water supplied.

room 1 has a mattress that needs replacing! my shoulders and hips are sore as the springs have gone. it felt like I was laying on the divan alone. I also know the hotel cannot be responsible for local idiots but screaming and shouting in the street at half past midnight!!

Our bedroom was well furnished and had a comfortable bed. Bathroom was a little small and the the wetroom type shower made floor rather wet. Having said that it was functional and clean. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening but had to eat early as it was a Sunday and restaurant shut early on Sundays. Had breakfast in Ostlers which was very good. Overall has a great stay. Liked the walks through the gardens. Staff were very efficient and service was excellent. Will stay again when in the area.

You check in at the pub, but the rooms are in a building 2 doors down. They used key cards instead of keys. Breakfast is not included. The breakfast in the restaurant was bit pricey, but the quality was excellent. There is a plaque outside the building saying that Phil Vincent (designer and builder of the Vincent motorcycle) lived here (with his uncle) at one point. In the restaurant there is a large (approx 4' x 8') photograph of Rollie Free on a Vincent breaking a land speed record at Bonneville (wearing just a bathing suit, helmet, and slippers) in 1948.

It took a few minutes to get the attention of the staff in the pub, to check in. But once we got their attention it was fine. Location a bit out of the way, but easy to find.

This is a lovely pub with rooms. The rooms are just opposite and you have to walk through the courtyard to get to the pub. The pub has a lovely country feeling and I would say probably one of the best eating locations I’ve been in for many years the food was 2nd to none The pub is a little bit small but nice and cozy. I would definitely and will be eating there again, plus the food was quite reasonable.

There’s nothing I didn’t like you know what you’re getting when you stay in a pub you understand that it’s not like an hotel very nice pub/hotel

The room was characterful. The bathroom modern, a good size and power shower. The bed was big and comfortable. Good to have onsite parking. The pub / restaurant was very popular so you would need to reserve for dinner but lively and good atmosphere. Polite, friendly staff.

Unfortunately, we found ourselves being locked out of the property in the early hours and the emergency number was not answered. Hopefully rectified but otherwise nothing to really complain about. Just be aware there area is fairly remote so would need a car to access other venues.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We arrived well before check-in time, but they immediately made up our room while we had a small, late breakfast, and moved all our luggage to the room while we were eating.

We were in the Garret room and the bathroom is a few steps higher than the bedroom - we managed, but would have preferred a single level. We may have been assigned to that room because we stressed we wanted a quiet location, and it certainly was!

Another warm welcome at the bell inn. Everything was clean and fresh. The facilities available were good. A lovely garden/field to sit and walk in. The inn was lovely and traditional with original features. The bar snacks we had were not the usual ones on offer .. they were delicious.The staff were very efficient. The village itself is very quaint with a great butchers and some nice walks.

No faults but in the summer months a small fridge to keep milk and water cold would be nice.

The whole experience was very well managed and run. The staff were very helpful and very efficient and accommodating. The atmosphere was very genial throughout, the meal I had was very good and very good value. My room was clean and a good selection of drinks in the room. The homemade biscuits were delicious. The Wi-fi was excellent throughout the hotel, great for working after a long journey.

My only observation would be please look at better light blocking in the bedroom, the venetian blinds did not keep the light out from 4.00am and being a light sleeper it was a little disruptive but that it is all. Overall thank you I'll try to get back when I'm working in the area again.

Staff were very friendly and customer service orientated. Room was a good size and clean. Ate dinner in the restaurant, food and service was very good. Nice to see that the wine list did not take the micky in terms of pricing - most restaurants do. Breakfast was excellent.

The room we stayed in - Lady Hamilton - had a delightfully decorated bathroom but was very dark. Hard to have a shave in low overhead lighting and a mirror that is too far away. No shower cubical - Shower was in an open roll top bath - very stylish but not practical at all - found this quite annoying. would be lovely as a second bathroom in anybody's house, but not the principle bathroom in a hotel.
