In both 2023 and 2024, I have stayed several nights in Grand Sera Hotel in Ankara. Overall, my experiences here have been very positive. 1) The breakfast is an extremely strong point. There is a rich choice of food and the products are fresh and tasty. When something runs out, it is being supplemented or replaced quickly. It is nice that breakfast starts early and you can easily get through a very large part of the day on this delicious and filling breakfast only. Furthermore, from the windows of the breakfast room, you can see the Anitkabir (Mausoleum of Atatürk). 2) The location is very good. Practically all the main places of interest and landmarks in Ankara can be comfortably reached by foot. Besides, the hotel is based very conveniently. E.g., the train station (incl. YHT) and the stop for the airport bus (AnkaraAir) are within walking distance. The neighbourhood of the hotel is safe and this holds for the evening hours too. 3) The personnel is very friendly and helpful. People here do speak English. Also online, communication has run very well. Answers were being provided very fast and possible unnecessary misunderstandings were already being avoided beforehand. 4) The rooms in which I have stayed were nice and clean. I never experienced anything regarding possible remains of smoke smell here. Beds are very good and during the night, it is quiet outside. In the bathroom, hot water is always available and water pressure in the spacious shower is strong. It is also very practical that a fridge is present in the room and that free tea, coffee and water (in bottles) are being provided. 5) A huge compliment for Grand Sera Hotel and its personnel is that an early check-in could be arranged for me for free each time that I stayed here. Especially after a night flight, this is extremely pretty. I am very satisfied with my stays in Grand Sera Hotel in Ankara. Therefore, I can definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers. Keep up the good work!

The breakfasr excellent! The room was spacious, clean and you could make your own tea or coffee and of course with its own refrigerator. The team, especially Tayfun and Güven, were as friendly as can be. They perfectly managed my departure to the airport at four in the morning, but above all they were helpful and effective in getting me a professional contact that I was very interested in. Thank you very much Tayfun and Güven.

Nothing at all, except perhaps that when you walk down the street all day to get to the hotel it seems like climbing a mountain, something, by the way, quite normal in Ankara.

The staff was very polite and helpful. The location was convenient for sightseeing. The value we got for the price we paid was great. The breakfast that was also included in that price was pretty good - great when you consider the fact that it comes included in that price. Wi fi was also good, bed comfy, bathroom clean.

When we first came to check-in to the hotel we were greeted by amazing staff. They had a parking spot available for us. They went out of their way to ensure that we are happy with everything and enjoy our stay. We were so impressed and happy how attentive and caring they were. The location of the hotel is absolutely amazing, close to everything. I would highly recommend the stay in this hotel to everyone.

Every room is smoking with a very strong smoke odor.

VERY nice, friendly, and helpful staff. The room is spacious, has air conditioning, and clean. It's not too dark because the lighting is very good inside the room. Breakfast is good. The location is in more of an authentic and historical area. Thank you for great customer service!

The surrounding area has a bad reputation, and it's not recommended to go out at night. You can smell cigarettes inside the room, and if you stayed in a room on the main road side, it's very noisy when you open the window to get some fresh air.

Both the staff who were on duty in the morning and evening were very pleasant and very helpful. Helped us with bus booking, directions to various places, and calling for taxis etc. It was pleasure to approach them for help. Excellent guys.

The management need to thing about improving the breakfast. The food was a little boring, compared to other countries. I don't complain about breakfast and never commented on that to any hotel. However, having travelled 47 countries, I think, now I am in a position to be open and honest to tell my opinion. There is definitely room for improvement with their breakfast and they should explore the possibilities, to satisfy many nationalities.

Breakfast bufet has plenty of food and drink items, but coffee wasn’t one of them. This is a great location in Ulus area. Walking distance from the castle, several museums and Gençlik Park. Staff is friendly and speak a little English. Walk-in shower was uncomplicated and great.

The staffs were very friendly, helpful and great communicators. We arrived late and they did give us rooms that were right next to one another, despite the different size of the rooms we reserved and we got some great view of the city too. The breakfast was excellent. Nice comfortable hotel with no frill. Thank you again!

The breakfast was excellent (except coffee but that is normal in Turkey). It's in a very authentic neighborhood and it is close to some museums. I got a free upgrade because it was just more convenient for me. That was a very nice gesture.

All rooms are smoking rooms. I think it could improve the place if some rooms were designated Non-smoking rooms.
