The hotel is in a great location for the ferry and pretty good value. There are no staff so you have to access the hotel by entering a code into a keypad. Although the hotel sends detailed instructions they miss off a key piece of information - you need to touch the screen with multiple fingers in order to be able to use the keypad. Once you do this the entry process is straightforward. However, as it's not obvious I think a lot of people have troubling initially entering the hotel and an alarm goes off, which can be a bit annoying. The room was a good size and comfortable and overall I'd recommend staying here. Just channel your inner zen when you first try to enter your code into the key pad!

Bad checking in app, the Chinese version cannot show safety box opening code, have to use Japanese version and this took a long time to solve the puzzle. Checking out app did not provide safety box opening code so we have to leave the key on the table. Then we found there was a late notification email telling us to leave the key in Mailbox. This process is stressful and unsatisfying without help function.

Location is extremely convenient and a few minutes walk to Uno port and station. Perfect location for those going to Naoshima and Teshima. The twin room was spacious and comfortable.

As many pointed out, there is no staff at the facility, and even though I have already done previously check-ins with no staff, this one was particularly tricky and took some time. Also they didn’t provide the wifi password until after the check in was completed through a message on Booking, which doesn’t make any sense for those who don’t have already a pocket wifi with them as they can’t access the app without it. It should be written also in the room somewhere.

if you are going over to visit the island but don't want to or can't afford staying there then this place is perfect as it is a very short walk from where you catch the ferry. But if you aren't going there then the location is a bit far away form anything else. Our room was very cute and tidy. Got your own shower room which was nice but a bit a handful having to keep track of three different keys.

the walls are super thin so you can hear your neighbours very clearly, we were lucky that there was only one other couple staying whilst we were there. the self check in process was a bit over the top.

Loved the location and the traditional feel Beds were really comfortable and the room was spacious .Bumped into one of the staff the morning after check in who was really friendly. Rooms were really clean

No staff available at check in. Was a bit tricky at first but we figured it out. Would have preferred an ensuite bathroom but our private toilet was just down the corridor. Shower was downstairs. Not many plugs to charge phones, cameras etc however these were minor things given the great value for money.

The check in process is very complicated and too much information need to be enter in the system. The water takes a very, very long time to get warm. Even if the place is still ok for staying, it’s a bit pricy for what you get.

Really comfortable rooms, very clean and we really appreciated the towel and yukata left in the room to get changed into for the price. The location was also very convenient for those travelling to Naoshima which is why we were staying there. We also really loved the paper with pictures of food spots, activities and key information around the area, we definitely used it to navigate our stay.

The walls were thin so you could definitely hear noise from other residents, the bathroom facility also weren't the most transparent and the check-in process was a bit complicated.

Check in. Reminds me when they book somebody in jail. The only thing the tablet did not ask me was for digital prints and a full body cavity search... I guess only because it was a self booking... So it did not feel so bad ;-)

Great location when traveling to Naoshima and Teshima. Close to the port and train station. Self-checking possible anytime. Very affordable.

The walls are very thin, and we could hear people in the next room. There are no curtains in the room, so don't forget your earplugs and eye mask. Only one shared bathroom.

It was a bit hard to understand how to check in and we couldn’t find the code to open the main door (no staff). We had some questions but as there is no staff we couldnt ask to anybody but it’s on we had a great stay. The light outside was going into the room
