The room is spacious, and the shower is reliable! The location is fantastic, conveniently situated near the sento bath “I love Yu,” as well as rental shops and the harbor. The rules are straightforward: you can leave your luggage here after checking out. The host, 金光さん, is very helpful! Thank you！：）

Some other guests appear to be confused; I met one who was searching for the dryer, while another seemed uncertain about the entrance rules. Adding the hotel’s number on WhatsApp allows for instant assistance.

Small and comfortable, with friendly and helpful owner. Excellent location next to ferries, bus stop, and restaurants. Rooms were warm and simply, but nicely, decorated. We also had access to large lounge and kitchen area to prepare simple meals and hang out. Very clean throughout. Owner speaks excellent English and gave us good advice about restaurants etc. This is a very relaxed place to stay - quite homey! We are three older women and we loved it! Thank you!

Futon beds can be hard on older bones, but there were extra mattresses and doonas available to make it more comfortable. One of our rooms had western beds too. It was nice to stay in a very Japanese hotel, regardless.

This was a quirky little place. It only has three bedrooms, and the toilet and shower are shared. The communal kitchen is pretty dated. We didn't use this as we went out for meals. It is extremely close to the Miyanoura ferry station from Uno. All in all it was cheap and cheerful.

The kitchen is pretty basic and old and dark. You can tell the lounge/kitchen area must have once been a bar. We didn't use this area at all.

Great place to stay. Very well located, convenience stores nearby, quiet, safe... the space is everything you need, clean. Host very responsive. Highly recommend

Great little 3 bedroom house right across from the Naoshima port and 20 metres from bike hire, bar, restaurant etc! really lovely people running the accommodation which is kept extremely clean. There’s a basic communal kitchen to use and shared showers and bathrooms which are spotless. Will definitely stay there again!

We were able to pop in before check in and leave our bags. There isn't a manned reception but a phone you can use to ring them and they were very responsive and friendly. We got a really nice recommendation for food (a place called cinnamon) and it was a spacious room in comparison to what we've experienced in Japan until this point.

The kitchen/lounge area was not the cosiest or most inviting to hang out. It's more of a traditional building so be mindful that the walls aren't very think.

I stayed two nights in the twin room, its a large room exactly as seen on the photos. the location is perfect, next to the harbor where the ferry arrives. the staff was extremely nice, per accident we booked a single use instead of couples room and we got an extra futon last minute and a good price for the extra person. also we got new towels the next day. the showers are clean, but you can also use the public bath next door. also its possible to storage your luggage in the common space so you can have some more time on the island.

it’s probably an old house because it squeeks quite a lot. your comfort is therefore also dependent on the other guests, our first night we had quiet neighbors but the second one was much less comfortable because there was a family with loud children next door.

The place has a relaxed yet quirky vibe and is perfectly located beside the port and bike rental shop. The space was clean and comfortable and the staff were so friendly. They were very accommodating to our group. The beer vending machine was a nice touch and it’s located beside a lovely little local food spot.

This is a very basic place to stay in a great location. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room, which means tatami mats and futons. Very quiet, which I loved. It’s directly across the street from the ferry so very convenient. This is a no-frills simple room. I thought it was great. If you expect services, stay elsewhere. If you want a simple Japanese guest house in a great location, book this one!

Friendly host, simple but comfortable furnishings. We stayed in a traditional Japanese style room with futon beds and tatami mats. The accommodation is moments from the ferry port, and within walking distance of many restaurants and facilities.
