It suited our purposes for an over night stay on a longer journey. The property is unstaffed, with access details provided by SMS prior to arrival. It is very close to the Hume Highway off/on ramps and easy to locate. The room had double power points on each side of the bed, as well as a few others in appropriate places. There was only one beside table. The bed was comfortable and adequately long, but was noticeably narrower than a normal Australian Queen-sized bed.

The unstaffed nature was a bit unnerving (support available from another near by facility). The room curtains did not close fully allowing done light into the room. We wanted to be asleep early and leave early but there seemed to be quite a bit of extraneous noise (not road noise) early in the night, but later it quietened down.

The motel served my purpose well. I used it as a stopover to rest while driving from Newcastle, NSW to Victoria. It’s conveniently located close to the Hume Highway, which made it perfect for my needs.

The only minor issue was the parking. It wasn’t completely flat. I had to park my car, which was loaded with belongings, on a slight slope. It wasn’t a major inconvenience, but a level parking area would have made the experience even better.

I stayed in a double room for 3 nights. I stay here every time I visit Gundagai. The bed was comfortable and everything worked. The shower was excellent. The check-in process was done prior to my arrival and the door code provided by SMS so I didn't need to worry what time I arrived after receiving the code. Communications were good. I think the only additional thing I would have liked in this room was one of those folding racks for my suitcase.

Location was excellent, the room had everything you need for an overnight stay. Check in was easy straight to room with code did not see staff at all. Hassle free and we were opposite the club and woolies was just after the club. So after a very long drive you can park the car and walk to dinner.

When I phoned to see if booking through the motel was cheaper than bookings.com I was quoted $30 more so I did not like that and stuck with my booking through booking.com

Although old it was spotlessly clean with updated air-conditioning etc position was perfect for overnight stay and the Thai restaurant at the sports club across the road as also exceptional

Whilst the keyless entry was good, it was a little confusing on arrival, having to wait until exactly 2pm to gain access. Perhaps they should ensure people are aware of this strict requirement when booking is confirmed

Having stayed here many times, it continues to be my go to 'stay' on my way to the South Coast NSW to visit my folks - it's a perfect place for a stop over. Great walking about the historic town, close to supermarket and great Cafe all within easy walking distance. Room is always clean, functional and being a solo traveller, its the BEST value for money! Will be back

Would love for there to be some wine/sparkling glasses in the room.

Renovated room and modern bathroom, spotlessly clean. Good amount of space for 3 and excellent value. Good cutlery etc. facilities in room. Convenient location. Has a remote check in facility very useful for late arrival time. Quiet rooms around the rear of the property.

Beds a little on the firm side, fine for one night. If you have a large/long vehicle the spaces for rooms at the back might be a challenge. Motel should check this with guests before assigning rooms.

Close to town pub, restaurants, park. Very nice clean, modern room. Loved that even though shower and toilet in the one bathroom each can be used at the same time because of non see through curtains and wall. Didn’t have to see reception, check in done after booking online and sent room number and electronic room key. We did have to call enquires number as electronic door key was incorrect number but fixed over the phone.

Didn’t like the raised step in hallway either side of tiled area, was a trip hazard. Should have a small instep ramp.

We were travelling from Sydney to Melbourne and needed a place to stop for the night. We were expecting something a bit more rough for what we paid for, but were pleasantly surprised by the clean and tidy state of our room. It was well looked after and had the comfiest bed! Was super convenient with the self check-in by using the code on our door instead of a key. We arrived very late, so was nice not having to worring about checking-in. It was definitely the perfect way to finish a long evening of driving non-stop.

Excellent communication from the manager on the day of arrival. Room and bathroom were basic but clean, and we appreciated the small table and chairs. Close to supermarket and eateries for dinner.

Our pillow slips and bottom sheet looked like they’d been slept on. The manager explained that they were no longer required to be ironed but instead just folded after laundry. It would be helpful to have a notification of this new approach written up in the room, and which hygiene standard it meets for accommodation.
