Beautiful natural setting, halfway between the town of Palenque and the Mayan ruins. You can walk to the ruins if you want to. The staff is very helpful, and the tours sold at the entrance are worth every penny. Lots of available hammocks in the common spaces. A very good "glamping" experience overall.

The swimming pool should be cleaned more often of falling debris. The cabañas are a bit cramped, a regular suitcase hardly fits in the lockers. There are little annoyances such as the WiFi password changing every 48 hours, and the 4 kg minimum weight in order to use the washer and dryer. Very inconvenient if you are a solo traveller carrying a total of 3.5 kg!

I’ve enjoyed the staying a lot. Being in the jungle was a breath of fresh air. The bed in the private cabana super comfortable and clean. Everything was just right for the environment. The stuff super nice and helpful, and I loved that, once I checked out, I could leave my stuff in the lock and still enjoy a relaxing day by the pool in the hammock. I would definitely come back.

I had food at the restaurant on my first day, I had tacos with vegetables and it was horrible. I had to send it back and go to the restaurant opposite the resort. I advise to go there prepared with fruit and snacks.

Special place in the jungle! Very big with several cabins, a pool, hammocks, a place to wash and hang your clothes (washing powder 10 pesos). Clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, big locker. The dorm cabins get very hot during the day, but are surprisingly pleasant at night. When you check in, you get s small bottle of water for free. The restaurant on the opposite side of the road is good.

The dorm cabins are tiny. I imagine when they're full, it can be hard to fit all the luggage. Plugs aren't at the bed, but in the lockers. A hook for the towel next to the sinks would be nice. Minor issues, though.

being in the middle of the jungle, but still having the resort feel with nice hammocks and the pool (even though the water was too hot) to relax

how the beer at the restaurant was 60 pesos but sold for 40 pesos at the entrance. the walking distance is about 20 meters between both areas so we said the price increases 1 pesos per meter 😒 on a serious note, the restaurant just outside called Don muchos by panchan is a far better option to eat, with that same beer around 40 pesos plus they usually have live music, I'd recommend going there instead to eat.. My room itself was OK, no AC but the fans were ok, a bit small and crampy. the "fruit" houses at the back were a strange layout but for 1 or 2 nights it's ok. Also, there was a massive scorpion 🦂 in my room, but security came and killed it thankfully.

I loved staying in the jungle. I woke one morning and sat by the pool and watched howler monkeys in the trees just a few yards away. The entrance to the national park where the Palenque ruins are located is right next door. The location to buy tickets to Palenque ruins and catch a shuttle are across the street. The grounds of Kin Balam are very tranquil. There are hammocks to lounge in and a nice little pool to cool off in when it gets hot. While the rooms are small they are comfortable. The bed was very nice.

It would be nice if the restaurant was better. The food was ok but not amazing. I also think it would be better if drinking water was provided free of charge.

The cabañas are basic but nice, our cabana was big with great shower and huge bed. The place is beautiful, very well maintained. Also, there are cute animals going around the property - I loved it. Finally, the girl in the reception was super helpful and kind!

The cabana we stayed in didn't have air conditioning, which is of course mentioned, but still challenging with the humidity and high temperatures. Also, the girl in the restaurant (the one behind the counter) was so rude and keep asking for tips. The last day there I bought two beverages and she gave me the wrong change. I guess she took it as a tip without asking me if I want to leave tip.

We splurged on a air-conditioned cabana (which was still super affordable $75AUD for 2) The bed was so so comfy and aircon so frosty. We had a huge tour from San Cristobel the day we checked in, and was super tired and it was the best place to recooperate before our long bus the next day. You can see so many monkeys right outside your door. And are legit in the jungle. There is a fantastic pool, hammocks and whole vibe is relaxing. Its not a party place if that's what your looking for. We had already been to ruins the day before, but they are pretty close (around 3 KMS) and collectivo goes from outside door. The restaurant is pretty good, food is on the higher cost side for Mexico (around 150- 200 pesos pp) but also it's so convenient and staff are so lovely. There is a kitchen too if prefer cooking. Drinks are reasonable price (55 pesos for beer, around 90 for a cocktail). They also let us stay on sight and storage luggage for no extra fee after check out at 12. We also had a couples massage onsite! There is also an easy self service laundry onsite for a fee (pretty expensive compared to others we've been to (around 300 pesos for 8 kg with clean, dry and detergent) but so convenient that it's onsite. Also everything was super clean and well managed. We had a really fantastic experience.

nothing !

Amazing waking up to the jungle sounds and both hearing and seeing the howler monkeys. The location was great, walking distance to the ruins and an easy colectivo ride into town. Staff was all very friendly and helpful and kept the shared spaces very clean. They provided plenty of drinking water. The pool was also a great relief in the heat. We also really enjoyed the little interpretive trail with different plants and fruits.

As others mentioned, the restaurant wasn’t great, especially for the price. However, I think it was comparable to the place across the street. Also the shared bathrooms felt a bit far, especially when it rained our first night.

Amazing location within walking distance of the ruins. Each day towards the late afternoon, a group of howler monkeys can be seen in the trees from the pool area. Staff are all really nice. Collectivo to the main town is cheap and runs back and forth continuously without waiting to fill up.

The collectivo stops running at 6 pm, so if you need anything from town, you need to make sure that you have time. Otherwise it's a long walk or a taxi. This isn't a negative on the accommodation, it's purely down to being located so close to the ruins, but worth knowing.

It is a very romantic location in the jungle. There are birds and beautiful nature. The restaurant had simple but very tasty food , very reasonably priced. Staff were all extremely nice and helpful

We stayed in one of the bigger cabins but still very small. The bathroom door does not fit the frame and thus combined with the fact that the sink is in the bedroom makes it difficult to share a room. We were asked to give our passport as guarantee for a hair dryer, I thought this was a bit heavy handed,
